I'm having some problems unlocking the large rescue ambulance skins from LA mod. I'm doing exactly as the tutorial in the LA mod section says, except that the files do not show up when I look for them after clicking 'Unpack File'. Could anyone offer a suggestion as to why this is?

I'm trying to unlock the LRA files and must be doing something wrong, but I'm not sure what. I renamed the three files to large_rescue_ambulance1t.v3o, with the two others being 2t and 3t. I then load the mod, go under 'unpack file' and then do not see the files. I go into the correct directory, but the renamed files do not appear. Could someone offer a suggestion?

EDIT: I got it to where the files were unpacked, and then renamed them back to .dds. Then I try to open with Photoshop, only to be told that Photoshop cannot parse the file. The same happens when I use paint.NET. Any suggestions?

Anything in the base LA mod is good to be edited. Just watch out for submods.

Hey, I was planning on attempting some EMS skins from Aiken County and maybe a HP skin. I'll let you know if I do the HP skin and how it goes.

Since the DDS converter apparently does not work on Win7, and the GIMP DDS plugin is not working for me, could someone recommend a free DDS converter?

Does anyone have a model of a 1997 Ford ambulance I can use? Or know if its contained in a mod? Skinned or not, doesn't matter.

Also, what programs are used to skin? I'm aware Paint.NET is, but are there any others?

At 1347 hours, a 911 call is placed to RockPort Emergency Management's 911 Dispatch Center concerning a vehicle versus pedestrian that has just occurred at a delivery depot near the railroad tracks. RockPort Police, RockPort Fire Department, and RockPort EMS are all dispatched.

At 1348, a RockPort Police patrolcar arrives on scene. One officer begins treating the pedestrian while the other questions the driver of the delivery van.

Yeah. If your graphics card can't handle the mod, that's what happens. It happens on my laptop.
