Yes, it's a small military base that JrFF34 created using the objects from Hoppah's LA mod; he thought it be a nice, realistic touch! In terms of the expansion from the original plan, most of that expansion has actually already taken place, so don't be worried that this is going to be an endless 'in development', as we're trying to get it out as soon as possible. Obviously it started as a very small re-skin project, though now we've more-or-less completed the Stillwater Sheriff Department, Stillwater EMS, Wisconsin State Patrol, National Park Service, Mammoth Lake EMS and Mammoth Lake Sheriff Department. All there really is to go is finishing one or two units on each FD (Mammoth Lake and Stillwater), and one or two private ambulances. Granted, we do have to start skinning the personnel, but that's a smaller job, as well as lighting etc. We just thought it would be a good idea to fix the map a little as it was a tad bland, lacking a hospital (pics to come); brightened up the road textures a bit, added a few buildings here and there, improved the number of objects around each house to give an individual feel, and added small things like parks, flag poles etc. In terms of a list (this is off the top of my head): Police: -Stillwater Sheriff Department -Mammoth Lake Sheriff Department -Wisconsin State Patrol -National Park Service EMS: -Stillwater Rescue Service -Mammoth Lake Ambulance Service -Superior (Private) -Gunderson Tri-State (Private) Fire: -US Forestry Service (LA Mod Models already included) -Stillwater Fire Department -Mammoth Lake Fire Department Also [WIP and Subject to Change] is more of a reassurance for the team, so that we can get rid of things if needs be; though in most cases nothing is going to change much, apart from obvious texture bug fixes etc. Hope it makes sense/helps. The Superior Ambulance plate is going to be changed, no worries, as are all of them; I put the yellow state ones there as an early version I was actually wondering about the license plates; is anyone here from Wisconsin/surrounding area confident in linking which federal plates go onto the vehicles? As no-one from our team is from that region I could use some help from the community and forum! Thanks as always though Fred for your support! As always, work is WIP and liable to change, though we greatly appreciate your comments. Today we've progressed quite well, cleaning up the mod and sorting out the files so they're not as confusing; lightbars are in the process of being added by me, and that shouldn't take too long. The map has also changed quite a bit since you last saw it, though an update will come on that later; it includes newer textures, and more incidents. Anyhow, below here we have three units to showcase; the National Park Service Crown Victoria, the Mammoth Lake Fire Paramedics F-350 Unit and the Superior Ambulance Sprinter. Upload them to a site, I use http://imageshack.us/, I personally think it's the best. You'll need to sign up. Once you've signed up, Log In, and go to Upload, and then browse; choose the files you want to upload, PNG is the filetype I usually use. Once it is uploaded go to (My Images) in the Top Right. Find the image you want to put on the forum, left click it once, then right click, and a box should pop up saying "Direct Link". After that, come on to the forum, start a new post like you normally would, and hit the image button. It's on the second bar, below and to the right of Font and Size. A box will pop up saying URL; paste the direct link into that box, and click Ok. Your image will then appear on your post, in glorious size and resolution! Alternatively, whilst on Imageshack, you can left click your picture and click 'Links to Share this Image'. Then copy the Direct Link. Hope it helps, Rlast.

You guys should all buy Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City, it's like $5, and then you can come join me and some friends (including cops) who are going to play LCPD:FR online with Metropolitan Police Vehicles and other American packs; we'll just download new vehicles and replace them when needs be

I would appreciate it if everyone who downloaded that link deletes those files immediately. I don't even know what's included in that link, but for the purposes of clarity we are not releasing a beta of the mod, or indeed the mod itself, and in order to respect the on-going work of the team please do not steal content, try to get the models in-game, post images or videos of content or otherwise. You'll probably only ruin your expectations, so get rid of it thanks! Rlast.

I can tell you guys that, as a mod maker, asking/suggesting if a mod is dead because updates haven't been posted for a 4/5 weeks is almost as annoying as a question about release dates. These guys are busy, so I'm sure they'll work on the mod when they have a free moment; we've just got to wait and see!

Not at the moment I'm afraid. We'll get working on the EMS units as soon as is possible, but first we need to fix all the lightbars and make sure each unit is carrying the correct one.

I think the colours maybe slightly off, just a tad too vibrant. Try 0757a1. [in RGB that's (22,98,158) and in HSB that's (206, 86, 62%)]

What do you mean? By template do you mean a file that is easy to edit, such as with the different sections easily select-able? If not you can simply find the PNGs and DDS files in the \Mods\Montana Mod\Models\Vehicles accordingly. What programme do you use to create reskins?

There are two departments: Stillwater Rescue/Fire Service: Two Flight Cars - Crown Victoria and Ford Explorer. Mercedes Sprinter F-350 (Believe that's the official name) Mammoth Lake EMS: Two Flight Cars (Possibly one in final) - Crown Victoria and Ford Explorer. F-350 Other: Numerous private companies that'll probably have the F-350. Should get you guys some confirmation on which private companies will be included, but would be interested if anyone knew any private companies that operate in the area and had photos of them, say if you're a local etc. Don't hesitate to PM me or post here.

That's currently a heavy-WIP I'm afraid as we need to get all the lightbars in place before we can hand them over to our modeler. However, as soon as it's all ready we'll release them for show, and hopefully you'll all be impressed and happy with the result! Dank u as always Cops

Looks excellent, really wish you good luck with this! I love those DPG units too, saw one quite recently up in central London actually. The fire truck also looks really dynamic, and I like the curve its got, and of course, the map looks great; I can see you've put to good use those buildings that BRAC (British Reserve...) made!

Just a question EMC-Unit, within the Soviet Union, would these units have been ubiquitous throughout the whole of the USSR, or are these units the kind you'd more likely find in the areas that now constitute modern day Russia and Ukraine? Everyone looks fantastic by the way, and I like the old style of this mod!

That's a good question, and as I am not from the USA I hope I can answer it properly. The Stillwater Sheriff Department are the main law enforcement agency in the Town of Stillwater, and hence, will be units that spawn on the map; we may even introduce a limited capacity so that you only have 2-3 Crown Victoria's at your disposal, an impala and a 4x4 unit etc, though this isn't yet confirmed. You may have to imagine that the Stillwater Sheriff Department are also responsible for the areas around the town, but that is irrelevant because the map only focuses on the town. Mammoth Lake are a mutual aid town of Stillwater, and hence, I've now changed it to only give their Sheriff's Office one or two units, perhaps only a Crown Victoria. The Fire Department of Mammoth Lake will have more units, though the Mammoth Lake Sheriff should be viewed as a way to give the player more units to play with and have greater control of a situation; say there is a major incident and the limited resources of Stillwater's Department require a few local units for assistance, bit like the soldiers in Hoppah's US Army Mod sometimes require a local ambulance. Indeed, the State Police are obviously a state-wide body, and can assist in many of this instances, hence they have a wide selection of units. An example I could give you would be a substantial fire that requires a greater input of resources, or perhaps a police pursuit that has crossed a county boundary, and so Mammoth Lake SO and Stillwater SD are involved in the pursuit. Although that may seem very complicated, I hope it makes sense; Stillwater SD the main enforcement agency of town, Mammoth Lake SO there to exist as a smaller enforcement body, and State Police the state-wide agency! Note: There is also the National Park Police unit (single Crown Victoria) that can obviously respond to incidents on the lake etc. No, we probably won't be making mini 21TRs, but that does not necessarily mean it's out of the question; at the moment, I have no intention to, though indeed it's a beauty of a lightbar!

UPDATE -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'd like to present you with the next update; showcasing some units that have already been seen though now they're up close and complete, with the lightbars that they'll have in the final version. Also added some new banners if people are looking for some variation. The following units showcased are in the following order: Stillwater Sheriff Crown Victoria (21TR), Stillwater Sheriff Chevrolet Impala (Whelen Justice), State Police Crown Victoria Slicktop, State Police Dodge Charger (S2 Arjent). I have also updated the Mammoth Lake Sheriff skin though that is not ready for showcase yet, and work continues on the map and lights, as well as the Fire Department vehicles. As well always work is subject to change if we see fit, and any errors you see in the textures or likewise will be taken care of by the time the mod is ready for release.
