  1. Emergency 3 skinning tutorial: To give Vehicles a new appearance (skinning) in Emergency 3 is very easy, everyone can do it, even I. Always make a backup of the Emergency 3 Data map first! You will find the skins of vehicles in the Emergency 3 program directory, for example emergency 3 demo\\\\data\\\\models\\\\vehicles. Every emergency service has its own subdir in the vehicles dir. For example emergency 3 demo\\\\data\\\\models\\\\vehicles\\\\polizei ( in German version ) for police force cars ...\\\\ambulanze ( in German version ) ambulances and ...\\\\feuerwehr ( in German version ) for fire brigade. Skin-files finish on *.dds. There are 2 ways to edit .dds files, with a Photoshop plug-in and by converting them to a standard graphics file format like .bmp with a program called DDS_converter. Both can be downloaded from this site. How to install The Photoshop plugin: First download the zip-file. Unzip all files, ( except .dll files ) in the map …\\\\Program Files\\\\Adobe\\\\Photoshop\\\\plugins, like this: Photoshop\\\\plugins\\\\em3. Unzip the .dll files in the main Photoshop dir, like this: …\\\\Program Files\\\\Adobe\\\\Photoshop. Now you can open .dds files using the File - Open menu option. If you don\'t know how to use Photoshop, use the stand-alone program DDS_Converter. Then you can make skins with the standard Windows Paint. Tips: • Always try to keep details intact, such as door handles and seams, this gives the best result. • The easiest way is to use a real photo of your car. • Most dds-files are half skins, meaning the skin contains only one side of the vehicle. The other side is the mirror picture of the first, this is especially a problem for texts, unfortunately there isn’t a solution for that yet. • Texts and characters look better if you write them by your own hand, because most of the time the text option in graphic programs gives a bad result. Finished with your new skin? Then you must save it to the right place… If it’s a: • Policecar = stw.dds ( for example …\\\\emergency 3 demo\\\\data\\\\models\\\\vehicles\\\\polizei\\\\stw.dds ) • Emergency doctor\'s car = nef.dds • Ambulance = rtw.dds • Helicopter = rhc.dds • Fire brigade = rw.dds • Fire brigade ( car salvage vehicle ) = asf.dds Etc. Photoshop Plugin and Nvidia ddsplugin: Once you\'ve finished your skin first type the filename and file type ( .dds ), than save it with the following options: DXT1 RGB (No Alpha)”, “2D Texture”en “No MIPmaps”. If you use the DDS_Converter, first you must save your skin as a bitmap file ( .bmp ). After that you must put the file for example rtw.bmp back still in its original directory with the converter. So you get rtw.dds again. Start the game and check your own skins. It doesn’t work, or you don’t like it? The only thing you have to do is put the original file back in its place.     Hoe skin ik voertuigen?

    Voertuigen een nieuw uiterlijk geven (skinning) in Emergency 3 is zo simpel, dat iedereen het kan, zelfs ik. De skins van voertuigen vind je in de Emergency 3 program directory, b.v. emergency 3 demo\\\\data\\\\models\\\\vehicles. Hierin zie je onder vehicles de verschillende voertuigskins per hulpdienst in een directory. b.v. emergency 3 demo\\\\data\\\\models\\\\vehicles\\\\polizei voor politieauto’s, …\\\\ambulanz voor ambulances en …\\\\feuerwehr voor brandweer. De skin-files eindigen op *.dds. Om ze te bewerken heb je 2 mogelijkheden. (Zorg altijd dat je een reservekopie hebt! Maak b.v. een kopie van de totale dir emergency3\\\\data\\\\models incl. alle subdirs). Je kunt de .dds-files direkt in Photoshop openen met een plug-in, of je kunt met het losse programmaatje DDS_Convert ze in een gangbaar formaat converteren. Beide kun je op deze site downloaden. De Photoshop plugin installeren: Download het bestand. Pak alle bestanden, behalve .dll-bestanden uit in subdir onder \\\\Program Files\\\\Adobe\\\\Photoshop\\\\plugins, b.v. Photoshop\\\\plugins\\\\em3. Pak de .dll-bestanden uit in de Photoshop hoofddir \\\\Program Files\\\\Adobe\\\\Photoshop. Je kunt nu met File – Open .dds bestanden openen. Als je geen ervaring met Photoshop hebt, kun je het beste DDS_Convert gebruiken, dan kun je met de standaard Windows Paint al skins maken. Tips: Probeer altijd om de details, zoals deurgrepen en naden, te behouden, dit geeft het beste resultaat. Teksten en letters kun je het beste met de hand schrijven omdat de tekstfuncties van de meeste beeldbewerkingsprogramma’s er slecht uit zullen zien in het resultaat Het is het makkelijkst om te werken aan de hand van een originele foto van het voertuig dat je wilt skinnen. Bij de meeste DDS-files wordt slechts een half voertuig in de Skin opgeslagen. de andere kant is het spiegelbeeld van de eerste, dit is vooral bij teksten een probleem, maar het kan jammer genoeg niet anders. Is het ontwerp klaar, dan moet het weer opgeslagen worden. “stw” voor de politieauto “rhc” voor de reddingshelikopter “nef” voor de GGD-auto “rtw” voor de ambulance “rw” voor het brandweer hulpverleningsvoertuig “asf” voor het brandweer bergingsvoertuig enz. Bij de Photoshop en Nvidia DDSPlugin: Eerst de filenaam en soort (.DDS) invoeren, dan op Save klikken en de opties “DXT1 RGB (No Alpha)”, “2D Texture”en “No MIPmaps” uitkiezen. Als je de DDS-Converter gebruikt, moet je de skin eerst weer als Bitmap opslaan het file met de Converter in een DDS-file veranderen. Daarna moet je de de DDS nog in zijn originele directory terugzetten. Start Emergency 3 en bewonder je nieuwe voertuig! Mocht het mislukt zijn, dan is alles wat je hoeft te doen je reservekopie van emergency 3 demo\\\\data\\\\models terug te zetten. Veel succes! Door Uitgerukt.

Fact is I can use those rules to keep the site clean from trash. Shall I give you an example? Search google for Tiroler Zumba and see what the company behind Zumba did to them.   8. -I don't like the advert bot of Google If you guys don't want to understand that I have bills for 500,00€ a year for hosting costs, licensing fees and support fees that is one thing. But asking me to remove our only income is another... Remember, we are not paid for what we do. While being, it's not a Google bot, it's a piece of software I installed using Google Adsense codes and I just called it Google Adsense - Advert Bot so just in case, it is our Advert bot with their code -And it will be better if there are more downlaods (because in the polish site there are other mods and in the german site , too) I think user activity is more important then downloads, but then again, people can upload files up to 200MB themselves to the database. And then I had issues with modders that didn't want their files on other sites in the past
  9. To begin with, delleting members that where not active during 6 months, that registered 10 months ago and have less then 2 posts is something we have done since the begin of this site. We have always done this manually, which takes like 30seconds. As a proof: We have 9759 registered members while the latest member has ID number 15879 But this is only a megabyte or so and seeing the fact we have a disc of 750GB (We currently use 80GB including the OS) I don't see the need of cleaning up the members too often:) Ads is fine but costs a lot of money, the problem is that we do not have this money. The site has already a high yearly operating cost which can be easily calculated by adding following: Monthly server rent x 12, yearly domain rent, yearly support fees for the forum software, the download center, the ads mod, the tutorials section. I don't care about advertising that way but would this really bring active users?

  12. What did this bring to the topic? Indeed the prices increase for each person or vehicle you bought, you lost or you purchased in the running game. Concerning the trailers, if you both lsot them due to explosion you will have to restart your game if you wan them back

  18. That's not true This fully depends on your type of door. All doors beside the normal passenger doors in my mod have animations Did you even check the normal trucks before? You have to place the connections so well...place them on the back, nothing more
  19. Take a full 100% savegame and you can just select the mission you wanna play

  23. What is your definition of bugs? Beside the fact that people have the need to redirect everything which causes traffic getting stuck I don't see any problems with this version of the mod I feel a little exaggeration?     That's something only Hoppah can answear, besides that I suspect there's a reason for having an animation tool and not a tutorial on how to do something like this manually
