  1. The cars that they actually use currently. There is no point in making random cars as LAPD units if they don't use them in real life. -d
  2. Nothing, the mirrors all have the same files. Some of us offered up some bandwidth and space to help the initial release of 2.0. -d
  3. I have temporarily disabled the download from my web server as the bandwidth has been exceeded this month. After reviewing the logs, some dude in Hungry downloaded the file 52 times. No freaking clue what he was doing. There were a few others that downloaded the file multiple times over and over as well. When Feb 1st comes around, I should be able to open it back up again and let some other people download it. Although I will put in a script that will limit the downloading per day per IP. Sorry guys. -d
  4. There are products designed to take advantage of this fact that a floating hose is better than a thin rope that sometimes gets dragged under the surface. I posted a link to one above. -d
  5. I believe it is a regular hose that they just screw on the caps which have air hose nipples. I just saw a couple of photos of them using it the other day, but after spending about 30 minutes looking for the photos on the net, I wasn't able to find them. -d
  6. Actually, what they do is put on a cap on each end of the hose and then fill them with air. Makes a boom that floats and it bigger to have people grab onto. I know the swift water rescue teams from LA use them, just not sure if they are actually carried on the SWR units. Source here -d
  7. Monitors (CRT or LCD), have not done x 1080 resolution until recently. The x 1080 is the width... not the height. For your reference here -d
  8. Consider them jaywalkers. Pretty realistic if you ask me for LA -d
  9. Find me a monitor that did x1080 (HD) a decade ago... They don't exist. -d
  10. That is by design if there isn't room at the PD for another unit. -d
  11. Any time I have arrested the main leader and transported him back to the station, the group disbands. They do however still show up as orange dots on the map indicting that you need to arrest them as part of the goal. -d
  12. Air tanker? Are you serious? Thank god some of you don't protect people in real life -d
  13. Try reinstalling/updating your video card drivers. Unfortunately you issue isn't caused by the LA Mod. -d
  14. Not to mention this is the wrong forum to post this request in... -d
  15. When I get the riot dispatch, I get officers on scene pretty quick. That early in the riot there is one person with the sign and the others are just throwing their arms up. In every instance that I've arrested the leader, the rest of the people disperse. I still arrest them, because they show up on the map as part of the goal though. -d
  16. I always target the leader, who should be holding a sign and chanting. I toss a flash bang or two at the crowd, send in two SWAT guy to arrest him and pull out quickly. Seems to work quite well. -d
  17. You want an announcement on the nightly news? There is a tacked topic that Hoppah updates. I'd go subscribe to that and you'd be notified when that thread is updated. -d
  18. I get suicide attempts during Freeplay and Challenge. The building is South of Station #1. -d
  19. I've noticed that if I use the large ambulance and send it to the hospital, it will not return to patrol or go to any station. It will sit at the hospital un until I tell it do so something otherwise. By design or a bug? -d
  20. LA County Police is a totally separate agency. They handle the parks, public health enforcement, and provide security at the county's hospitals. -d
  21. I don't strike you? How do you think network engineers should "act"? I do understand what a defrag is intended to accomplish. Yet if you bothered to test if it helps or not, you'd know that if there is any performance gain, it is negligible. I don't check tech forums because the validity of the users posting there runs from the guy that still thinks his CD tray is a coffee cup holder to the guy that thinks that OC'ing his computer to 4.0Ghz makes him the coolest guy on the planet. Wikipedia is user added content... no valid tests there either. -d
