  1. I don't know if there has been a fix for this, but for those of you who have problems with the PD cars not going directly to the scene from the PD immediately, I have found a possible solution.

I wondered around w00d's map on the editor and noticed the streets weren't connected. I went and connected the streets to the PD and the one that goes in and out of the hospital. When playing the game after the editting was done, I noticed that the police vehicles were able to go directly to the scene from the PD. Also, load/unload time for the ambulances were reduced dramatically. Also, I narrowed the street path a good bit for the hospital, but I don't know if that was a part of the solution.

  2. 1) 1 Car MVC on I-40 with entrapment. Rescue 1, RA 2, and CHP responding. Traffic was cut down to one lane. Patient was transported on ground to the nearest trauma center.

    2) 2 car MVC behind the hospital with entrapment and one ejection. Engine 3, Ladder 1, RA Units 1,2 and BLS Unit 4 responding along with 3 PD units. Two entrapped patients were transported to the local hospital with minor injuries. The ejected patient was transported to the hospital and then airlifted to a higher level of care but died en route.

  3. A transport truck carrying numerous cars flips on the freeway trapping one person, and leaving another injured.

    Units to respond:

    LAFD:

    Rescue 1

    Engine 3

    Battalion 1

    LAPD:

    1820 Alpha

    1846 Charlie

    EMS:

    Ambulance 2

    Ambulance 5A

Ha! I played the other day and had the same accident to respond to. I responded the same exact way you did, too, except I only cut off one lane of traffic for the ambulances. I have another screen shot that I'm going to post after I get back from classes at the fire academy tomorrow.

  4. Realism? You know, realistically, different lightbars can be configured for different patterns. So you can't say that this mod is for realism. It's just for fun. This shouldn't even be a sub mod of the LA Mod. It basically butchers Hoppah's mod, IMO. Also, anyone can just spend a few hours and create their own little light effects. If you can't take a little criticism then you shouldn't be making mods and releasing them to the public.

  5. No, I'm just giving him a little advice. I don't have graphical issues at all with any other game or 911:FR w/ LA Mod. As stated above by emergency4freak, there are way too many lights on some of the vehicles. It does actually slow the game down a good bit, unless you have your graphics set on their lowest setting. Not everyone can afford high dollar machines to run graphics like that. Maybe you should place that in your download post. "WARNING: HIGH END GFX CARD NEEDED" or something to give them a warning that this mod will slow down your game a good bit.

  6. Just an FYI, the more lights you have, the slower our games are, and if your adding lights to vehicles which we won't be using anyways, could you refrain from doing that? Also, on the Batallion Chief truck, and I think the Heavy Equipment truck, there are way to many lights. You can't even tell that they're moving from high up. If you could like, take some off. And the BLS ambulance lights are very unrealistic. They actually turn instead of blink. Just some critiques and sorry if I was a bit harsh.

Amen. IMHO, the only good thing about Tony's mod is the neat effects on the lightbars. The rest is just unnecessary junk that slows down your game. Tony, you shouldn't claim that you are making the vehicles how they "realistically" are. You are placing your lights on these vehicles based on what you see from videos posted on youtube by other departments. I'm sorry, but after installing your mod for 1.7, I had to immediately uninstall it because it completely lagged my game to hell. You need to take some of those lights off. You should have just stuck with the lightbar effects, man. Sorry if this a bit harsh.

  7. Really like the layout of the new map... good job.

I do have a few bugs to report as well... I dont notice that alot of people are complaining about these, but some already have. When I spawn a unit from the Police Station, I have to spawn them to a road, then have to pretty much make them drive to each turn otherwise they will just sit there doing nothing. Same with FD, if I tell any of the fire units to go to the scene, they will just sit there. I even left all the units go for a while, walked away, and when i came back the entire block was burning and they were still just sitting there with the sirens on trying to get to the scene.

Also getting the hospital bug where the ambulance will not leave.

Hopefully we can figure out a way to fix these because this map will be amazing to play one bug free! Thanks again!

edit: Also, I am playing the 911 FR version 1.1 of the map

I'm getting those exact same bugs as well. Those are really the only few bugs out of the entire map. Good job with the update, w00d. I'm loving the wrecks on the highway.

    18:55 PM

    Dispatch- Company Standby- - - - *TONE*- - - Engine 2, Truck 1, Rescue 1, Battalion 1.....Respond to a 5 car MVC, one bus turned over, on Interstate 240. Call time 18:55.

Dispatch- Company Standby - - - -*Warble*- - - Unit 1, Unit 2, EMS 1.....Respond to a 5 car MVC, one bus involved, on I-240. Fire Department is en route to that location.

Battalion Chief- Dispatch, show all fire units on scene.

    Dispatch- Copy Battalion 1, 19:00.

EMS 1- Dispatch, show myself along with Units 1&2 on scene. If you would, go ahead and dispatch a med-flight to my location. Also, get ME-1 en route as well.

    Dispatch- Copy EMS 1, 19:05. Contacting Med-Flight and ME-1.

Dispatch- EMS1, Med-Flight and ME-1 are en route.

EMS 1- Dispatch show Med-Flight on scene.

ME 1- Dispatch, show myself on scene as well.

    Dispatch- Copy, 1915

    On Scene: Engine 2, Truck 1, Rescue 1, Battalion 1, Unit 1, Unit 2, EMS 1, ME-1 (Medical Examiner), Med-Flight 5

    highway1.jpg

Highway Patrol blocks east bound lanes of traffic to make room for EMS units. PD units block the west bound lanes just east of the accident to create an LZ for Med-Flight.

Unfortunately there were 3 dead in the accident and 4 critically injured.

  9. Hey Wood, in your next version, you might want to look at the patrol paths you mapped out. I looked at them on the editor after I noticed that my PD units were getting blocked while turning corners. All of this because the patrol paths were too wide. So, in your next version should you decide to update it, look into narrowing them.

Also, some of the waiting positions are misplaced (i.e the two that are inside the police station) The problem with this is that if a person spawns there and has a heart attack, my paramedic can reach him, but the EMTs won't. Then I have the problem of the medic not being able to leave the building. Sorry to be so critical and I'm sure these have been brought up. I skimmed through before posting, so if these issues were brought up before, I just didn't see them. I like the map over all and think you did a damn good job with it.
