  1. Question:

Sorry, I'm sure there is a post about this but I didn't find it. On your site, there is a few pics in there that looked like there was a new freeplay map. I was wondering if there was another in there, because when I started the mod, there was the normal freeplay map instead of the one in the pics. So, in short, is there a new freeplay map or is that just another mission or something?

  2. Here are some pics of most of our apparatus in my department. The only ones not shown are a couple personel vehicles.

  3. The riots..............Just take about 4 to 8 police officers to the scene. Take them and place them between the guy with the sign and the rest of the crowd. Then order the crowd to stay back. That will keep the officers safe while one arrests the sign carrier. This keeps the other officers from getting beat up as well.

  4. Job: Firefighter

Here's an event that I'll always remember. It was my first actual fully involved house fire. I had just got through covering my buddy's shift, or part of it at least, and was going to take a shower. It was around mid-night, so I figured that I'd take one and then hit the rack. Well, as soon as I got in the bathroom, county EMS got toned to a house fire. Our fire district exceeds the city limits, so when there is a fire in our district outside of city limits, we have to call other departments in the county for their tankers and any pumper that can show. All of this happens within the first couple of mins and we're usually there pretty quick.

Anyways, I remember him saying that he was going to tone out the fire department. So, I'm sitting here expecting a tone to go out for us, and it doesn't come. I knew damn well that it was in our district. He (dispatcher) tones out the wrong fire department, which is 10 miles away. He then tones out another fire department that is even farther out. Finally, 10 mins later, he tones us out to the fire. So, I haul ass back to the station and jump in the Rescue truck (Engine was already full and en route). We're on our way and I said "Did anyone catch that address?" By that time, we all just noticed a bright orange ball. It was the house and that house was f'in HUGE. I jump out of the rescue and run to the engine for air packs. It looked like a war zone. The home-owner's vehicles exploded while we were running to the engine.

Me and three other guys are packed up and we grab a hose. We make entry to the front door and we start on an interior attack. We're trying our damnest to save what we could of the house. I look up at the door frame and see the top of the porch starting to burn. So, I pull the guys out of the entrance way because I'm not feelin' too well about the structure. We couldn't ventilate it through the roof, because it was a tin roof. So, it basically turned into a giant oven. Too make a long story shorter, it turned into a "surround and drown" situation. It was the first house we had totally lost in 3 years. The home owner found out about the dispatcher's stupidity and is suing the county for a lot of money. Here is the funny thing, though. He isn't getting a dime out of it probably. He had a dog kennel in the house for the winter and put a heating pad for them. One of the dogs chewed the chord so he threw a blanket over a naked wire. All of the dogs fried, to say the least, since that was where the fire started. It took us around 3 hours to keep the blaze under control and keeping it from spreading.

  5. Nice work so far Hoppah. I'm glad you decided to make it where they go back to the house. That really bugged me about EM3. I'd try in vane to make them go back in right, but it wouldn't happen. Excellent job with the PD as well. I have a couple of questions.

Do you plan to make EMTs like in EM3?

Is the freeplay map going to be custom or a remake of one of the defaults?

  6. Can that trailer be fitted on any fire vehicle? I hope so, because you won't find too many engines that have a trailer attached to it.

Most of the time you'd find them attached to a heavy duty pick-up, like a F-350.

But nevertheless, nice work man. I can't wait to see the fire house, especially after seeing the police department. You're a master at your craft.
