  1. Hmm. I have heard of this issue and the fix is, if i remember correctly, to turn off shadows in the settings. Otherwise try the normal, reinstall the game completely, close any programs that might interfere and make sure that you have standard settings on your gpu manager (nvidia control panel or similar). 2. It's Saturday! Y'all know what that means.

  3. I just implemented this scrip into my mod and I can confirm that it's working without any problems! Thank you!
  4. Great idea! Thank you! I will try that!
  5. Yes, I thought about that but the problem is that I already use the SPECIAL lights in the redirect traffic bar. (It's working nicely right now) Is there a way to create a new light type or maybe toggle individual lights instead of a whole group? Yes, but see then that messes up the emergency lights sequence.
  6. Reverse flashing lights? I know that title made no sense, but here's what I want to do: I'd like to have a light that is ON when there is no emergency and OFF when there is. Emergency lights are the other way around. Some police vehicles in Honolulu have to have their emergency lights on idle when patrolling. The lights are not flashing when patrolling, they are just on. However, when there is an emergency these "idle lights" turn off and the flashing sequence begins. How could I do this in Emergency 4? I am already using the directional lights command for, well, directional lights. I know my explanation wasn't that good, so here's a video of a real world unit with its idle lights: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=WONWCub04sQ#t=58s Thank you! Xandarb Edit: Special lights are used in the redirect traffic bar
  7. Those were beautiful pictures! I really enjoyed to see some of those fire departments we rarely see otherwise! Do you know how often the Dragon is used and at what kinds of emergencies?
  8. I am back! Thank you for your feedback guys! The mod is progressing quite nicely and we're starting to see a few pieces fall together already. Still a long way to go though. Thank you for your support guys! I edited the first page so that it's up to date. Have a good week!
  9. I am pleased to inform you guys that another experienced modder has joined the team! Welcome HDMods! Edit: Sorry, didn't notice the double post
  10. Yeah, sorry forgot about that part. My fault. There are two ways: The first method: In editor, select unpack file, go to the folder where the file is and add file.dds to the end. It will work even if the editor can't "see" the file. Or method two: Edit the files name to file.dds.v30 (just add ".v30" to the end) and then it will show up in editor. Later you can change it back by simply removing ".v30".
  11. You'll have to unpack them. Go to Em4editor, load up mod, then choose mod->unpack file, choose the file(s) to unpack and then you should be able to open them as usual.
  12. Thank you guys! Thanks, Pm sent.
  13. My tip to you is if it fits your budget, equip it with an ssd. That will really speed up things. My laptop is a macbookpro but I wouldn't recommend one as your only computer, and it is quite expensive. I do have a desktop windows machine, so for me a mbpro is great! Running windows games on a mac is possible but it can be tricky though. Invest in a windows machine by a known brand.
  14. At 7:24 pm a normal traffic stop escalated to a high speed chase. At 7:32 pm several police units from the Honolulu Police Department already had joined the chase... At 7:34 pm the suspect vehicle ran a red light in southern Honolulu and crashed into a civilian... At 7:34 pm the HPD started diverting traffic. HFD notified... At 7:35 pm the HPD confirmed two casualties... At 7:39 pm the HFD arrived at scene with Engine 7 and Battalion 2. Ambulances are still on their way... At 7:41 pm the HFD started extracting the casualties from the wrecks. Still waiting for the ambulance.. Thank you! I have no suitable Ambulance model so this is going to be it.
  15. Hey! Thank you guys! And Thank You Flnn Rescue 12 for those videos! Really valuable! _____________________________________________________ Tease day! This Saturday I am going to preview two new police units. US customs and borders protection and Honolulu Sheriff. Model is Nnicos Cvic Reskins are made by Rlast Lights by me Have a good day! Xandarb
  16. Thank you for your reply! I will look into that! Yeah, that cut down almost 30% of the polycount! Thanks erfd!
  17. Good day! And good tease day! Well, today I'll show you a model that I completed just a few minutes ago. Texturing is about to begin sooner or later. The unit in question is the ATV that I'll use both for the lifeguards and the police. Some images of the real life unit(s): Police ATV army green Another Police ATV army green (and red ) Lifeguard ATV red And now to my unit: Only skinning and some in-editor work (and a lightbar for the police unit) left to do: I got kinda carried away and noticed that the polycount shot to the stars (over 5K). I managed to cut down quite a lot but it's still quite high. What would be a good polycount for Em4? I read somewhere here that 3K is a good rule of thumb. Feel free to give me feedback! Cheers!
  18. It's teaseday on HonMod! Uploading some screens right now!

  19. Cutting down on the polys on a model. It's a pain! :/

  20. Some modders managed to disable the always online drm. Mind you, EA said that this is impossible. http://www.geek.com/articles/games/modder-proves-simcity-can-run-offline-indefinitely-20130314/
  21. Hello! I am pleased to announce that Rlast has joined the Honolulu Mod team. This is great news and I'll show off some progress real soon. Xandarb
  22. Thank you for the feedback! That extra vehicles pack seems like an awesome idea! So be it! Thanks!
  23. Yes it is, and indeed it looks kinda funny! .What do you guys think about Hawaii Five-0? Should I include vehicles from that tv-series even if they aren't accurate to the real thing? Post your thoughts!
  24. It's Saturday, or here in HonMod thread, Tease-day! So, here's the unit I tried to make: http://www.flickr.co...376/5494249853/ And here's the unit I made(WIP): The model is a modified civilian Dodge Charger taken from ManhattanMod by Dyson, Rafael and the rest of the Manhattan team. It's originally Nnicos model. WIP! Only one light made (edit 11.03.13: the lights are now completed), model of the ightbar-thingy is not finished. The lightbar and the light(s) are the only things that are mine. Have a good day! Xandarb
