  1. Hello, Sixteen Tons Entertainment, if you are reading this, any chance you guys/gals can bring the rest of the Emergency games on Steam? I notice we're missing Emergency: Fighters for Life, Emergency 2: The Ultimate Fight for Life, Emergency 3: Mission-Life, Emergency 4/911: First Responders on Steam and would be nice if you can bring them before the release of Emergency 5 next year or so, at least Emergency 3 and Emergency 4..any chances of this ever happening?

You do release the newest game on that list is one over six years old. While em4 would not have issues there may require work to work on modern operating systems.

  2. All the images in this post are from my trip to Germany in May of this year. This Picture are Emergency Vehicles of from that state of Sachsen.

Older Green Police Livery. Most of Germany has switched from Green to blue police cars. So seeing a green is becoming a rare site. The only big expection I am aware of is Bavaria. Those that looked at my car fire pictures saw a green car.

  3. 14 apparatus? Wow! I should clarify that my experiences are limited to American Urban fire departments (NYFD, BFD, LAFD etc) and rural volunteer departments covering moderate size area with small populations.

But it not. Because the station I quote expect for Butler City and cranberry are 100% Rural.  Cranberry was rural just 15 years ago.   Saxonburg fire department fire and ambulance service covers about 49 Square miles with less then 10,000 people.

The most dense examples I gave butler city 13,757 with 2.7 square miles is the only paid department.   Cranberry is hardly rural anymore what with 28,098 people in 59Square miles.  But it hardly a urban center.

What you seem to know is your little corner.  that about it.    Final point is stations come in all shape and sizes the only common factor is the departments that have them feel they best suit there needs.

  4. ...the ambulances are the same just higher quality

No there more like what we seen in some of the MODS are 2012, 2013 and 2014.   There not like EM4 ones other then German ambulance have not changed there general shape appearance much over the years.

  5. As a fellow who hasn't gotten abroad much I am curious about foreign Fire Departments. I see in many mods here on the forum most of the European mods have massive fire stations with upwards of ten trucks at the station, while in the US and Canada at least most departments are spread out across cities with rarely more than 2 or 3 units at a urban station. Volunteer departments in rural areas often have midsized stations that contain all the units but its rare to find a VFD with more than 7 or 8 trucks at one station.

I beg to differ.   Where I am at.   We have station 15

    Which house

    Engine 15

    Engine 15-2

    Ladder 15

    Rescue 15

    Squad 15

    Brush 15

    Squad 15-2 (fire Police)

    Command 15

    Tank 15

That 9 units in one building. Station 15 is all house in one location.   then right next door to that is Station 45 which house 45-1, 45-2, and 45-3.

Next fire district over.  Station 11

    Tanker 11

    Tanker 11-2

    Engine 11

    Rescue 11

    Squad 11

    Brush 11

    Command 11

that Seven units in one station

Station 1 - Butler City, from there own website

Together we staff three engines, one aerial truck, one squad, one rescue and one Command vehicle from one Central Station. Fire Headquarters, located within the Cities’ Central district is located at 110 North Washington Street; Butler, Pennsylvania 16001 and is within the Public safety Building.

    Seven units on station.

    haine_station_320x208.jpg

This station was built in 1982 and houses E21-3, R21, IC-3 and SQ21-2.

    Park Station 20727 Route 19

    park_station_320x239.jpg

This station was constructed in 1995 and is located on Route 19 at the entrance to the community park, it houses E21-2, T21, E21, SQ21, B21, our 1928 Pirsch Pumper, and the Fire Safety House.

    that 4 and 6.

In fact in my county It rare to have  station with only one or 2 units.   The only one I can think off is Station 42-3 which house on Engine 42-3 because it covers the edge of district and that where the volunteers are.  Adams Area Fire District is the only station I am away of with more then one station.  For a total of 3.  But that may change when they get there new station.

  6. It looks to me like the editor of EM5 is on a different engine to EM4. This probably means that mods can't just be copied over, so to say. However, it's likely that some scripts may still work and that some models can still be used in the same format, or when somehow converted.

According to this video it is.

A simple English transcript of that video is as follows

We heard nothing because they been busy with Emergency 2012, 2013 and 2014 and mobile emergency. So only part of the team been working on EM5 since it was original announced.

They go on and talk about how about mobile is to gaming is the future, at least as far as causal games go. And know they know Emergency can be played on mobile.

Most important info for EM5 is they developed everything new for EM5. they rebuild the editor also from the ground up, it every important because the entire game happens in editor.

He also say there no bit or byte left over from EM4, everything has changed down to the single pixel. New asset and objects.

However they believe the traits of Emergency series are still there.

  7. Looks good.  May not be 100% but i am not seeing a big difference from what a remember from the car I saw about two weeks ago.

    Some things I notice

    1. The rear indicator those not flash I believe

    2. No in upper rear window

    3. Front indicators (headlight) Look at post 5. Last two pictures.   The light chances between red and blue.

  8. Last night In Cranberry Township, PA a storm took out 10 power poles. Causing Route 288 between cranberry woods and Route 19 to be closed.  Including on and off ramps for I-79.  These pictures are from Route 19 and 228 Side taken today while the road was still closed.  There saying it be closed till tomorrow.

  10. Darryl,

You might find these pictures helpful.   There from the Opposite part of the State then M1 units.    Here a PSP Map

There from D (butler County)  and T(turnpike) Troops

On the light bar, I seen and capture with still pictures the same segment of LED showing both blue and red.     Also the last two links have.

  11. It actually won't be that sophisticated. Instead of using the unit menu to send the city's fire trucks, you use it to call the volunteers onto the map, and tell them where you want them to go (to the station or the scene). Most of it is done manually by the player.

If you send the volunteers to the station they'll park in their spots, go inside, get geared up, and wait for you to assign them to a truck.

If you send them to the scene, they can do what they can until a truck arrives, or move in to assist if a truck is already on scene.

BMA has also given me a script that prevents you from moving vehicles that aren't occupied. So if you want to bring the city's fire trucks and ambulance to the scene, you'll have to send volunteers to the station to get them and drive them.

You can still call in units from the county fire department directly from off map, but it will take a while for them to get on-scene.

Will the crews that go straight to scene be able to get gear off the trucks?

  12. The ladder truck looks goofy to me.

Other then the front and slightly longer truck it a typical German TLK.  It longer cause it in city of Leipzig.  The streets are a lot narrow in Germany US ladder trucks would never be able to get anywhere in city over there.

They can still reach high.  Not sure how high that one reaches but 7 years ago the town where my parent company is based got a new TLK and I got some pictures include fully extended.

    13989978985_275a2916d8_z.jpg

Here the unit they where replacing

    13986803562_f9908b95cb_z.jpg

Also unlike US respond where we sent out trucks as three ready. Germany use a system call trains. So for a structure fire they have group of truck that respond as one. SO the DLK would not respond on it one.

Most of the times I heard a siren in Germany. It general not just one unless it was ambulance or police.
