  1. Wow job guys.

    Thanks its not 100% complete because we dont have all of our units done yet but eventually we will be able to have them in there like in the LA Mod and others. For dispatching we plan to make a couple P.O.V units and respond them to whichever station. Then they put gear on and get in a truck.

  2. repeating it several times, does three things, makes an embarrassment out of yourself, lowers chances of getting a future team, and lowers chances of people paying any attention to your mod topics in the future, as they won't expect anyhting from them.

    I had to restart my mod and people still pay lots of attention to it.

  3. Will the spare rig automatically be at the station and will it automatically have the lettering on it. Will the spares have less advanced technology or relatively the same. Also with the light and siren command will we be able to apply the air horn and control the E-Q2B Siren or will that be automatically. Also the ones without the EQ2B's will we be able to do the same with them.

  4. @ Station27 I would love to have station 127 (station 51 for Emergency!). I have thought about it and have been looking at some possibilities for the station. It will not be in the first release but maybe on the second release.

    I was planning on keeping all the units in the mod so people can still play the base missions and the LA Mod missions. I have some ideas for missions strictly for the units/stations I have but I don’t want to take away from the original mod.

    Some of the base vehicles will be reskinned to be equipment from other resources outside of the map. I don’t think I will do a lot of them but some so if you need to call for backup you wont get a engine from 50 miles away. Also with the units, for the first release they will be as close as I can get them with what is in the LA Mod, but after that they will be as close to the real thing as possible. Squad 51 will go from a 4 door Ford to a standard 2 door for example.

    @ ChrisGA I never gave combining LAPD and LASD. I could look into that. I could also have them use the same parking lot just have different buildings on each side. That idea might actually make it into the mod. That is a really good idea.

    You should make some custom events that happen during freeplay. Such as: Fire_Alarm with or without fire. Fallen tree during storm. Also you should customize the people there should be LAFD Firefighters and Paramedics and there should be LACoFD ones. The Battalion Chiefs should be different so that can only call units from their department. For Example: LACoFD Battalion on Scene of a Building Fire and needs LAFD assistance. So LACoFD Battalion has an option to send an LAFD battalion to the scene. Only he can call LAFD units. The Battalion Chief Commands should have the Actual Unit numbers to call each individual unit. Also for station alarms is there going to be a different sound for every station or just 1 for all. For LACoFD you should use the old 2 + 2 Tones.

    Right now it will be the HES untill I get zmod out and chop some stuff up. Zmod doesnt like my laptop and that is where I am currently modding from. My desktop started smooking yesterday so I need to start the search for a new one. The work still continues, nothing is effected.

    At first it sounded like you were going to use the Station 51 from emergency (Station 127) and just add modern units to it. Oh well it sounds cool anyway.

    Are you going to be removing the units that are not in the stations and not really needed like the LAX Crash Tender and the Light Equipment Vehicle, and Swift Water Rescue. and have it so its just primary vehicles. Also will the units be just reskinned units or completely new units that are exact replicas of their real life counterparts.

  6. Well, I've got some better news, since Mikey doesn't have much of a life, and he basically models all day, I've talked him into working on a deadline.. He's agreed to roll out one model a day for me, and judging by what I want in V1, we should be ready by this time next week!

  7. I use this in a different way. when i load a new freeplay i buy 1 more BC with 2 cheifs in it and i put one at fs1 and 1 at fs2 and then i set the first bc to group 1 and the other bc to group 2. I use them like dispactchers. :cool:

    In the NY Submod there are dispatchers so it is possible.

  8. if you look at the stations that i have chosen they are in the Hollywood area. i will research LACo station 33 and see what i can get.

    LACo station 33 is in Battalion 11, I dont mind the etra work but I think I will keep it around Battalion 1.

    So Ill ask about how many Co fire stations and which ones. The choises are station 7, station 8, station 38, station 51, station 58 and station 110.

    Also for the LAFD I would like to know how many stations and which ones. For the LAFD its a little easier, they are station 60, station 86 and station 89.

    once these are hashed out I will release the first version with the fire stations and maybe a little somthing extra.

    You should make 4 stations if possible or if you want two LAFD stations and two LACoFD stations from Emergency! The Small Station 51 and the Large Station 10 from the pilot of Emergency! also if you do Station 51 will there be the old Dodge Squad and Ward LaFrance/Crown Engine.

  9. I have a idea that would make this submod more realisic ;) . What if power lines, trees ,and tree branchs would fall on the road? Like you could put this with the earthquake or a storm or something like that. It i just a idea. I am not 100% sure this would work or if it can be done :nixweiss: ? Once again it is just a idea.

    Trees yes a lot of the advanced german mods like Florian Hamburg have a custom mission that happens where a tree falls and you have to cut it with a chainsaw and tow it away. They also have custom missions where a Fire Alarm goes off and you have to go and see if its an actual fire. If there is put out the fire and then the officer has to reset it. Same thing even if there isnt a fire but the alarm was tripped. Maybe try and see if you can use these scripts or make them yourself. Also maybe add a person to the mod. A Captain could be added to all Engines and Ladders. This would really add realism to the mod.

  10. Just a question with the NY Mod installed will we be able to still play mods like the LA Mod and such. Basicly my question is will it affect the blue screens in the main menu. Also What would we do if a vehicle burned such as Engine 10 if Engine 10 exploded or caught fire would we have to go without engine 10 for the rest of the game or restart. OR is there someplace to purchase additonal vehicles.

  11. Most of us rather wait for a complete mod with little bugs than releasing one that could potentially have numerous. Sure they could release it early but most early releases turn out to be a huge disaster and just causes more of a headache than the time spent enjoying the game.

    Plus what fun would it be having a chunk of it but missing a very key feature that you may need on a certain call. The media package should hold us off until later.

    Now back to the NY Submod is there a planned version of 2.4 or whatever the next would be.
