Brain Teasers!

Recommended Posts

Alrighty, here is a game I made up. Someone must post a riddle that they made up or they found on the internet. The first person who gets the answer right goes up next. Here is a simple one that fourth graders could easily get probably:

Katie, Peter and Thomas were fighting for which computer they would get in the house. Use these clues to find out who got a computer in which room and what game they were playing.

1. The computer in the study was being used by someone playing minesweeper.

2. Tetris was being played by Peter.

3. The dining room was not being used by Peter or Thomas.

4. Thomas was not in the lounge room but was playing minesweeper.

5. Katie wasn't playing tetris.

6. Peter was in the lounge room.

It says nothing about pinball in the problem... The only logical answer would be that... I don't know where it says pinball, and it can't be assumed, because we all know what happens when you assume...

We don't get the right answer.

But since there is pinball now, even though it wasn't mentioned, that means Katie is playing pinball while Tetris is Peter's and Thomas is playing minesweeper..

If I got it, I give it to Em4fun, since it was kinda his

a robber want to rob the bank, but the bank have high security, the guards always will ask a pasword, the robber hide himself near the guards and try to find out what the pasword is, after long waiting, an employee of the bank comes to the guards and ask them if he can get in the building, the guard say: six then the employee say: three, after that another employee comes and ask if he can get in, the guard say: twelve then the employee say: six,

the robber is sure that he know how it works and ask the guard if he can get in, the guard say: ten then the robber say: five, but then the guards arrest him.

why was the number five wrong??

I come in darkness, but fill the mind with light.

I bring enlightenment to some, while gripping others in the hand of fear.

With me it can be a journey of inexplicable joy and sorrow.

What I will show you will often be unreachable

Journey with me and what you see may haunt you.

Journey with me and you may never want to return home.

Journey with me and you will never know when it will end.

What am I?

Haha, Alright, I'll be back in 5 minutes with mine

Okay,

Four people all competed in different classes of dog agility at a recent competition. The competitions all required the dogs to run over jumps, through tunnels and various other obstacles in as quick a time as possible. Each had a different result - one came first, one third, one fourth and one ninth. All four dogs were each of a different breed.

Who handled what dog, what did they finish and what level were they?

1. If Tiff finished first then Terry finished fourth.

2. If Terry finished fourth then Jago is a collie otherwise Jago is not a collie.

3. If Jane competed in the Senior class then she finished third.

4. If Jane competed in Novice then she finished fourth.

5. The dog that finished ninth was an alsatian. This was either Jago, in which case Jago competed in the Elementary class, or this was Kelly, in which case Terry handled Kelly.

6. Mark won Starters.

7. If Mark's dog is called Patti then Patti is a labrador otherwise Patti is a collie.

8. Ruth's dog is called Jago.

9. If Jago finished fourth then she competed in the Novice class otherwise she competed in the Senior class.

10. If Patti finished first then Terry's dog is an alsatian otherwise Terry's dog is a collie.

11. If Jane's dog is a doberman then Jane finished fourth otherwise Jane finished third.

Handler's Names: Jane, Mark, Ruth and Terry

Dog's Names: Tiff, Patti, Jago and Kelly

Breed: Alsatian, Collie, Labrador and Doberman

Level: Starters, Elementary, Novice or Senior

This is a hard one... Hardest one I could find... Try setting up a table for this one :P
