Hey guys! Marko here, today I started a topic for all of us to discuss New Yorks Emergency Dept. so this means you can explain the FDNY/NYPD/EMS and so on. So yea... This topic is for fun and please keep on topic and don't go off to other states emergency dept. So here I go :holdglass:

My guess is the fact it didn't get enough use, costed to much to use, or both.

Fuel for that to get from lower manhatten to upper manhatten would be probably a hundred dollars for a round trip. Plus for the amount of use, it's a burden on the maintenence crews. Plus it wasn't as useful as everyone would like to think, not in a big urban centre like NY, where the whole city has hydrants everywhere that can easily be hooked up to in the event of a fire... And if the Hydrants all run dry, well the fire is the least of your worries ;)
