Reskin problem

Recommended Posts

hi, i have reskinned a vehicle, using PAINT.NET ... the texture is ready , and have putted it in the models folder.. but in the game/editor , it's not the reskinned vehicle, it's the normal em4 model.. what to do ?

Did you just alter the skin or did you UV-map the entire vehicle all over again?

Is the reskinned model for a mod and if so, did you place the reskinned model in the model folder of the mod (and not the original game)?

So you just copied the skin file converted it to a .jpeg (or whatever), changed it, saved the file, convertred it back to .dds and replaced the file in the mod/models folder correct?

Were you asked to overwrite the original model file?

not gonna work

To reskin you will need to open the model in Z modeler.

Apply the new skin there.

Convert the skin to .dds

Change the skin name in the .v3o file from (example) myskin.jpg to myskin.dds

Save it.

Open the editor.

Create a new mod.

Place the new files in the new mod.

Create a prototype of the model.

Done.
