  1. I would suggest with the buttons that call units directly from the station (F1, F2, F3 & F4) if there is multiple types of unit that can be called in from that specific button they all should be able to do the same things. The best example of this would but the Highway patrol units. Quite a few times now I have called for a Highway patrol unit because I needed something which can deploy officers with firearms and direct traffic and got a slicktop ... I'm not saying get rid of the slicks, you could either add something that gives them an excuse to be able to redirect (light in the rear window for example) or add them to a different button.
  2. The same seems to be said for the goto station command for obvious reasons. I would try other things on it but unfortunatly my mate always forgets and clicks either patrol or gotostation within 5 mins of starting ... If I can get him to stop being an idiot I could test it more. Thanks to me having a crappy processor I'm probably the laggiest person here. If everything else works fine for me I see no reason it shouldn't work for everyone else. I'll try it again tomorow and post back. Also, with the paths. Would it be possible to just steal the one out of LA Mod until you add your own? xD
  3. I like it just as much as LA Mod but it runs better on my PC than LA Mod. Theres only 3 things I dislike about it and they are: No pursuit command on cars - Its made car chases a lot more interesting but since the cop cars refuse to overtake the suspect setting up a stinger in the first place is hard as hell. No go to station command for Highway Patrol Units - The units are brilliantly made and I would probably use them all the time if it wasen't for the missing go to station command. Unfortunatly unless they're special tactics units I don't tend to call them from offmap any time other than the start, and since they have no goto station they can't drop off suspects. So I use the NYPD Traffic units over them every time. I spose you could say its efficiency over quality. Helipad on PD and Hospital - Same thing as the Highway patrol units really. Calling them off map all the time gets expensive if you end up doing it a lot and when you play it for about 6 hours in a single endless game like me cash tends to get a little low. Obviously I wouldn't be surprised if you don't do any of the above, after all its your mod. Just a few suggestions from me. I know I'm not the only one wanting a go to station command on highway patrol units. I may be the only one on the pursuit command though ...
  4. I have to admit I tend to deal with these with minimal units now. Previously I used to like doing these missions but since its always 1 of 3 places if you play the game a lot they do get a bit repetitive. Whereas before I used to call all available police units. Get a Slicktop with a few SWATs as well and do a propper raid of the building. I found out that a single officer in a single car can actually resolve the whole thing by himself ... Its just a simple case of tell him to rush the suspect. Yes he does sometimes get a shot off and yes the resulting fight does take the officer down to about 2/3 HP. But the suspect always looses and nobody ever gets badly injured. I suppose something to consider for the next version or patch would be to do some in worse places (Places where a lot of people could get hurt if something goes wrong) and/or multiple suspects with much bigger guns.
  5. I've had this happen once before after just finnishing cleanup of a gas explosion: Is it the same thing?
  6. Tell your officer to pull his gun out before you tell him to arrest him. The car doesn't catch fire then. ^^
  7. Basically I want to take the Grill lights and push bar from the UC CV: And put them on these (Some edits may be required for the charger) And then Take the lightbars from the above two and put it on the SUV: 1: Is all this possible. 2: How difficult would it be to do this. 3: What do I need to do this and how should I do it.
  8. I use the EMS Supervisor purely because he can act like a medic as well as make it easier to call in extra units. Its so much easier just to click him and click the unit than flash the map to a fire station, try to remember where the dam vehicle you need is parked, then flash back to the emergency scene and then have to find somewhere to park the dam thing.
  9. I never use FBI. I find the fact that the "Negotiate" Feature is put infront of the "Fire" Feature. I was going to use an FBI sharpshooter to take down a suspect. I gave him the PSG-1, got him into possition, put my mouse over him and clicked and ... no shot ... The FBI guy had got up, ran up to the guy and was useing his megaphone to try negotiate with him ... while the guy was shooting him ... I just use SWAT from now on. Also people moaning about the K-9. Thier brilliant for taking people down. Just tell the dog to charge the suspect, the suspect keeps trying to shoot the cop and then gets attacked by the dog. While hes distracted shoot him with the handler. Works every time and doesn't cost too much of the officers health. Plus I've never had the dog die on me either. So
  10. I only send LAPD if I know thiers going to be a traffic issues. Like if the NPC cars drive right next to the incident and are catching fire because thier so thick they drive next to a burning object. Or if I need to block off a road so that Ambulances/LAFD Units need to be close to the scene and theres nowhere else to park them.
  11. Structure Fire: 1 Engine, 1 Battalion Chief Car (To make it easier to call in extras if needed) Shrub Fire: 1 Engine Car Fire: 1 Engine, 1 Towtruck Single Car MVA: 1 USAR, 1 LAPD, 1 Ambulance, 1 Towtruck Multi Car MVA: 1 USAR, 2 LAPD, # Ambulace, # Towtruck Stroke / Fall: 1 Ambulance Hazmat Related: 1 Engine, 1 Hazmat, 1 Battalion Chief Car (To make it easier to call in extras if needed) Robbery: 2 LAPD (1 to chase and 1 to take him to PD while the other goes back on patrol) Hostages: 1 LAPD Slicktop w/ Sharpshooter, 1 Ambulance Riots (Vary's): Illegal Protest Riot: 1 LAPD Slicktop w/ Sharpshooter, 1 Ambulance Group Disturbance Riot: 2 LAPD, 1 LAPD Slicktop w/ Sharpshooter, 2 LAPD SWAT SUV, 1 SWAT Rescue 3
  12. I rarely have this problem with only 3 units on patrol. If 1 car ever gets stuck I just click them and click patrol city again. They usually just back up a bit out of the way and then patrol just as they were before. Sometimes they just get stuck where they were before again but just moving it out the way a bit and then clicking patrol city usually works a treat.
  13. I put LAPD units on patrol but only 1 per route. I found that they are then less likely to block up traffic. And when they do its easier to spot. Also removeing the obstructing vehicle usually allows the traffic to fix itself. I have noticed that occasionally redirected traffic causes issues around the Cinema and McDonalds area. The problem is that attempting to redirect it again doesn't work. And redirecting the other row of traffic only lets the problem re-appear later on. Usually at a less covinient time. The only perminent solution I have found is once I've noticed the key vehicles causeing the problems. Blocking them each off one by one with police cars, destoying the car and then towing the wrecks. Does anyone have any other solutions that won't involve the murdering of inocent civilians just because thier too thick to realise when a police officers telling them to turn around. I'll try and upload some screens of the offending area later.
