  1. It is indeed an older Ford Explorer. There is actually a law in California (I saw it in an article about the Crown Vic) that states no Law Enforcement agency here can use foreign made vehicles. I will try to find this law and at least put a link to it here. This is why although a Camry or 4Runner is much more efficient than a CV or Expedtion, we don't see them in police service.

    Finally!

If you do a web search for a little program called End It All, the program can be used to shut down all the unnecessary stuff running in the background and will make all your games run much better.
  3. Everyone seems to be hung up on the funky looking light bar but no seems to remember that the lighting package that is actually used will be up to the individual department. I think it would look sharp with one of those ultra-thin LED bars. On another note, Ford recently announced that the Crown Vic is on her way out. Then, it'll be nothing but Chargers and the new Chevy's
  4. Hoppah, you have truly outdone yourself with 1.9! Mad props to you and your team.
  5. You can also put a negociator in the CHP cruisers.
  6. Deadliest Catch Alaskan Storm America's Army Flight Simulator X and 2004 Command and Conquer Doom and too many others to list
  7. In all actuality, the back part of a tiller aerial isn't really a trailer. An easy way to think of a tiller is that it's an articulated vehicle much like a large 4WD farm tractor or a wheeled front-end loader. The tractor and aerial can't be separated, so an ALF (American LaFrance) tractor would have a slightly different aerial unit than say a Simon.
  8. My thought on this is that NFPA sets the standards for all fire apparaus and USFS is NFPA compliant, so they probably can not legally run their rigs without lights and sirens.
  9. The driver of a firetruck is called an Engineer. Other than driving the fire truck to and from the fire, he is also responsible for operating the unit's fire pump duing fireground evolutions, among other things.
