  1. yeah i want my medic trucks to start freeplay with just the 2 Fire medics.
  2. meh snow is over rated lol. alothough it does lead to some interesting car accidents around here.
  3. I did a search but didnt find a topic that pertained to my unit. I am wondering how you change the staffing in the ALS ambulance so that it contains just 2 fire medics instead of a fire medic and a stretcher man.
  4. we have had a couple inches. just enough to make all the roads slick lol answering explorers question about my snow lol

  6. hehe my ion ray disrupts your megatron and renders him useless
  7. well just got home. most recent now. Had a vehicle fire on the I 2 nights ago. We beat the FD there by about 8 minutes. as we pulled up in the ambulance the car was fully involved with magnesium clearly burning flames goin 20 feet in the air. later that very night. had an accident with entrapment. beat the FD to the scene again by about 15 minutes this time. I had to bust out the rear window and climb over to get access to my patients before the FD could get there and extricate them. then later that day had a basic sick person call. needless to say im staying pretty busy lol
  8. lol the guys by the van are all staring at that car in envy haha!
  9. well im on call now and just did a twenty four the other day. ive done 2 diabetic emergencies. and A full blown allergic reaction. that was a pretty good one. upon arrival person had severe diff breathing, swelling of the face and neck, and hives showing up all over their body.
  10. i realise this. but it is still alot of wasted to gas to send a big fire truck out on every single call whether or not there are 4 EMT's on board. This is honestly the most ways alot of Fire Departments in the cities are justifying why they need a new engine every 3 years. I wholly agree the FD should be sent on chest pain, car accidents, and unconciouss people, but there is no reason why you need an engine co. worth of people for a nausea vomitting call.
  11. im about 99% sure it functions just like the regular ladder truck. just send a fire fighter up and you can spray all the water you want.
  12. yes merry christmas. and I love the British commercials. they are so graphic and show things the way they really are. America censors EVERYTHING. theres no way they would put one of these on the air.
  13. you could have done more with that number than anyone elses and you make it bland lol???? well 419
  14. i was an ambulance cadet for two years before getting my EMT and running on the truck. durring cadets we got trained up to the Certified First Responder level and we got to ride out on the ambulanceses as observers. we could take vital signs and do some other things our CFR training taught us. it was great. I loved doing it.
  15. well its cold as crap in my part of indiana. we have snow comming tomorrow and its like 20F right now.
  16. wow thats alot of wasted tax payer money to send a big red truck on every ambulance call. sounds like your FD is trying to up their run numbers so they can trick the city into thinking they need more money than they actually do lol. happens all the time.
  17. ok. my 3 most recent were. last night at 0000 had a 6 y/o having a seizure. an 81y/o with stroke like symptoms a few days ago. i think it was a roll over on I 70. U-haul vs ford escort. massive injuries to the person in the smaller vehicle we had them air lifted.
  18. meh. most fire/EMS systems have seperate people that do fire and others do EMS. they are just all in the smae department. the EMS units do 4 times as many runs as the FD does. houses are built so much safer it has cut down on fires. but people lol. well lets just say they are getting dumber
  19. obtained from http://www.murphys-laws.com/murphy/murphy-EMT.htm •The Basic Principle For Field Personnell: Assume that all dispatchers are idiots until their actions prove your assumption •Basic Assumption About Dispatchers: Given the opportunity, any Dispatcher will be only too happy to tell you where to go, regardless of whether or not (s)he actually knows where that may be. Corollary 1: The existence or non-existence of any given location is of only minor importance to a Dispatcher. Corollary 2: Any street designated as a "Cross-street" by a Dispatcher probably isn't. Corollary 3: If a street name can be mispronounced, a Dispatcher will mispronounce it. Corollary 4: If a street name cannot be mispronounced, a Dispatcher will mispronounce it. Corollary 5: A Dispatcher will always refer to a given location in the most obscure manner as possible. E.g., "Stumpy Brown's Cabbage Field" is now covered by a shopping center.
  20. just throwing this out there they may have got a call for a transport due to there being no available LAFD ambulances within a reasonable area. so it was easier and quicker for OCD to just pull a private unit that told them they were close by. just some simple E911 overflow coverage.
