  1. I've done a lot of research. I've officially applied. By time frame, do you mean how long the application process will take? In my case, timings are very unpredictable, but from the date of application until the date of officially entering the role most people are looking at a 6-12 month wait (could be longer, could be shorter) - not including then 4 months of training before becoming a probationary officer. I'm already at university, so I'd be doing it alongside my study (the role I have applied for only requires a minimum of 4 hours working per week).
  2. I have applied to join the force where I'm living at the moment. There are many reasons why, but to put it simply, all the cliche reasons that people usually give apply to me & I just know I'd benefit from it in so many ways.
  3. This should tell you everything you need to know. If you're sure it's all working in the editor, you can skip to step 29.
  4. > You have the fire alarm system script, with some false alarms, right? > I think it would be great to have fights with more than two people (eg brawls). > Some kind of traffic-check system (such as Winterberg) would be very advanced but amazing (eg randomly generated messages when checking a vehicle). Same thing for pedestrians would also be cool. > Drunk people or people causing a breach of the peace (could simply be one person with rowdy animation). > People trapped in buildings, need rescue. > Traffic violations that would require possible towing of a car and possible arrest of driver. > Criminals with some kind of weapons would be good - eg not just fists or guns, maybe knives too. (and certain police officers with tazers!) > Broken down (but not burning) vehicles? > Warrants (random people appearing "wanted" on map) > Medical checkups - some people complain for medical attention who don't always need transport to hospital. > Vehicle crash where a driver has left the scene(hit and run also)
  5. I have an intel card too, and also have this problem. So, you're not alone.
  6. If you're after a bit more of a challenge, you can alter the freeplay files to increase the number of people that protest in the freeplay demonstrations. The more people there = the harder it is to control them, the larger the area is, the more fires/casualties etc. I increased the maximum number of protesters from 10 to 40, and the difference was huge! Took me the best part of an hour (realtime) to complete the event
  7. I never have any spare units Or are you suggesting it's more profitable to do other people's missions and ignore my own?
  8. Same here, haha. I only have one fire truck and it takes about 10 minutes for several of the calls
  9. Just thought I'd show off my new addition to the Met's fleet.
  10. For any mod, the game will use its default files for any files your mod doesn't include or change. So just pasting those blank Emsirens into your mod's Sirens folder should overwrite using the default game sirens.
  11. In the sirens folder of your mod is "Emsiren01", 02, etc, these are the default EM4 sirens that play when the vehicle passes a civil car. To disable these sirens, you just need to overwrite them with blank audio files so that you won't hear anything ingame. For example, you can copy & paste the "Emsiren01", 02, 03, 04 etc from Los Angeles mod and overwrite them in your mod.
  12. Very easy. You just download the file and copy/paste the contents into a folder. It's all explained in the readme.
  13. The cars look great! If I could make a suggestion, the vector lightbars would look even better if the domes were made slightly transparent
  14. When playing the original EM4 campaign, I noticed emergency personnel would only walk until you purchased the option to run. And this made me think... Would it be theoretically possible to switch between walking and running for your emergency personnel whilst in game? I imagine that you would need to change the animation and the speed of the person to do this. There are already scripts to change speed, so would the animation part be possible? I know it's not the most important feature ever, but I think it'd add to the pleasure and immersion of the game, could easily be added into all mods, and would definitely please me to play with (for example walking to non-urgent calls or patrolling, and running for a sense of extra urgency)
  15. Today the Metropolitan Police issued a still CCTV image of an incident that took place in the early hours of this morning. The pictures shows an incident outside a high street bank, which an unknown armed assailant attempted to rob during an early morning money transfer. In their attempt to escape, the female suspect, aged between 25 and 30, came across police officers who were in the street adjacent to the bank having attended an unrelated incident. The suspect then panicked, and according to witness reports, shot at the officers. One officer was shot twice in the chest and upper shoulder, but he is now recovering in critical condition in a classified hospital nearby. His colleague was shot in the left arm but managed to escape to cover. After hearing panicked radio transmissions, officers across several boroughs responded to the calls for help. On the arrival of the Met's armed Trojan unit, the suspect unfortunately did not comply and was shot in the head and lower neck. Shortly after, a coroner announced that the first of these shots had immediately killed the offender. Today, the street remains closed as forensic investigations are still underway. You are advised to plan your journey before you leave, as there may be delays and diversions in place.
  16. Glorious. I love that Battalion Chief His car looks overly long from that angle..
  17. Have you considered adding box alarms around the map? Also will the scripted dispatches be working correctly for the new map?
  18. Oh sorry, I didn't see you said multiplayer. I don't think there is a save option in multiplayer.
  19. Yes. If you press F5, it quicksaves the game and you can load it up next time from the normal way on the main menu.
  20. Very nice I like having the variety in vehicles
  21. Looking great I have noticed one thing though, aren't some of the headlights missing from the Ford Transit Connect skins?
  22. Okay, I've tried it myself and found this is how: Step 1: Click Virtual Objects in the Edit menu 2: In the Polygon window, select "Move" 3: Drag a box around all corners of the VO to highlight them You can then drag the VO around with your mouse
  23. I think you can move the entire VO by holding down left shift then dragging it around
  24. That computer should be able to play Battlefield 3 fairly comfortably, according to its minimum requirements
