  1. *An Additional New Good Skinner Willing To Donate Some Time Would Help*
*Page Is Undergoing Major Updates. Please Stand By*
If you divided the map in half vertically, you would have on the left side the North and South Districts divided in half horizontally. The right half of the map will be called the East district. The North and South districts are mostly residential and commercial (like a suburb city like map) and in the East it will be mostly forest and campsites.
Scripts/Features I Will Include Or Plan To Include In This Mod:
-Water Supply From River/Lake Other Water Source (From The Santa Catarina Mod)
-A Cool Brand New A Script For The Helicopter In Which You Click On A Water Source, And A Target, And The Helicopter Runs Back And Forth Picking Up Water And Dumping It Until It Is Told To Stop. You can also change the destination and water source individually while doing this.
    -Limited Water Script
    -Dry Hydrants
-Tanker Portable Hydrant Script In Which You Set Up A Box Beside The Tanker, It Fills Up With Water, and you click on that box and use it as a hydrant. It can handle up to 5 supply lines. (Might Not Set Limit).

    (New Model)Technical Rescue Squad 4482:

This model is still a WIP. That is a crane on top, BTW.

  2. Yes go into the editor press on the .aerial_ladder go into child's super. Manually add the ladder. Start with list here : Or you could just down load the the system from your zip folder LA mod past and cut aerial_ladder models folder and Prototype folder aerial_ladder E4P excreta easy way to make sure it runs right good luck.

    1 add ladder super base

    2  aerial_ladder_l1_super

    3 aerial_ladder_l2_super

    4 aerial_ladder_l3_super

    5 aerial_ladder_l4_super

    6 super basket

    7 fire cannon

Thanks! Though it is not a platform so there will be no adding a platform.

  3. Could someone comment a link to a tutorial (I checked the tutorials section and couldn't find one for this) on how to add the ladder pieces to a ladder truck? And does anyone know of a ladder truck model that is a straight-stick and has a flat room? (with no lightbars on the basic model, too)?

  4. Are you playing the one that is just fire and ems or are you playing fire police and  ems. one is based off endless challenge which is saveable and the other is based off of the challenge I believe. If you are using the one based off challenge mode then it is not saveable if I remember correctly.

    Oh okay. Thanks!

  5. I've been thinking...

    Could foam be possible?

If you were to create a new liquid type or new particle type.

It could be scripted to spawn at the target point for a cool or extinguish command, then it would fade away.

I guess what I'm saying is perhaps it could almost be modeled off the liquid effect from the broken hydrants in the deluxe edition.

Or even easier, make a foam engine that instead of shooting out water, it shouts out a foam like liquid that is white and that has a stronger cooling/extinguishing power. And you can maybe script it to get stronger as more foam gets on the object (because that is kind of what happens irl) and you can also do.the dog bleed effect but with foam.

I do not quite know what you mean by Mid-Mount Aerial Trucks, but IF the vehicle has a standard type ladder I do not believe it plays any role as long as the fire fighter can reach the basket to get up in the air. A multi-arm system is currently an issue nobody can solve(probrably impossible). The game's engine is designed for ladders to rotate and extend on the same axis. By this I mean the ladder has a single rotation point, from there the ladder turns and elevates, then the segments will extend outward as needed. I am unaware of a solution that will allow you to change this measure other than a hard-scripted event (which would limit the truck dramatically to only doing one movement alone when it deploys). If it is a standard straight line ladder, regardless to how it is mounted it should still be capable of functioning regardless of placement on the vehicle as long as the firemen can reach the basket. IF the basket is out of reach they can't enter it to use it, making it do nothing at all.

For the very same reason a functional Cherry Picker is not likely to work properly unless it is a scripted static object.

Gee Dang-it. I guess that is why no one has made a Telet-shirt engine (an engine with a boom (articulated) that shoots water onto a fire). I thought no would be making the first with my mod.

*When You Post The Link To The Tutorial, Please Say What/What Topic The Tutorial Is About.

    -Thanks

  7. Is this mod for EM4?

Zmodler2 is capable of saving in many different types of model files, not just V3O.

If it turns out for some reason that the model files own't work in emergency 5 then Harbor City will be getting lots of new vehicles!

Harbor city with all these new vehicles... maybe expand the map some and add them all in. (though you would have to change/modify the run cards :) [maybe])
  8.

I hope this is what you wanted, it would take a very long time to describe how to do everything but there are a few tutorials dotted around to help you start off.

-Modeling - I use Blender (Free).

-Skinning The Models - Gimp is a very good free piece of software.
-Adding/Scripting Lights And Sirens - EM4 Editor, many tutorials on this.
-Creating Maps And Mapping - EM4 Editor, not many tutorials on this, something a lot of people teach theirself.
-Scripting - Most people spend years learning scripting so it's something you have to be dedicated to instead of just jumping into,.
-Making The Mods - You use the EM4 Editor
-Making New Scripts - Notepad/Notepad ++ are the simplest
-How To Ask For/Use Another Mod's Scripts - Message them on here (If they are on here)
-What Sotwares Do I need? You will NEED: Emergency 4/911 First Responders and ZModeler (Alternative to ZModeler are the .V30 Blender tools someone released)
-What Softwares Do You Recommend? Blender, Gimp
-What Software Do You Use For Modeling, Mapmaking, Scriptmaking, And Mod Making? - Blender for modeling, Gimp for texturing, Notepad for scripting, Emergency 4 Editor for mod making.

I could help you with the skinning side of things, and creating lights.

good decision to start on em4!

My secret tipp: try to learn it all yourself! I sounds hard and very unmotivating but trust me, it is worth it! Im in the stage of lighting and skinning and i also learned it alll myself. If you do it yourself you really know what you are doing and can use this knowledge later. There are great tutorials on youtube too. If you have questions with lighting , just contact me via pm and i can explain you the basic things to get started:) For skinning its your choice between PAINT and GIMP. I prefer GIMP because of its bigger functionalities but thats totally your decision. As a start, skinning and lighting is a good way to start modding! If you want to mod any modification just ask nicely! A NO-Go is to beg for permission. If the Author says no it means no. You can´t change anything about it:)

Photoshop is a brilliant option for skinning. If you don't have it, your school/college is more than likely to.

A lot of the stuff on that list comes after years of modding experience

I personally use paint.net to skin. I can do a lot more with  paint.net when it comes to skinning then I can with gimp.

Hey guys, I can't open .dds files with gimp, even though I have the plugin exe in the plugins folder and the files for the plugin apepar there too. . It sometimes opens a few, along with paintdotnet, but they dont work at all most of the time. Any good free/free trial skinning software I can use? Or is it that it isnt working because I am trying to open LA mod skins?

  9. I'll probably be using your ambulances (ALS, BLS, and vintage), your fire engines, your battalion chief car, and maybe the brush truck and crane and a few other vehicles. And I will be temporarily be using your map, until I create my own.

P.S. I am still going to read the manual to find out who the exact owners are and contact them.
