OK I'm thinking of another one then, I think it was in Washington then.
-
Was that the one that killed three USFS Firefighters?
-
If you have Em4 Deluxe, you could use the default missing person event for this purpose. But in normal Em4/911FR, car accident is the only way it can be done.
So it could be more like "Forestry Service Truck Off The Road" if that's what you mean
-
Well, any medical call in the woods themselves would be similar to a SnR call, as trees should make it hard to pinpoint the victim's location. Although it will still be called out as a medical call. Masking one kind of med call as a "missing person" wouldn't work, either, as med calls happen to random civilians around the map, and missing person in front of a hospital would look strange
As for making a separate new freeplay event without missionscript - that is considered hard, I believe.
Thinking in that way it is entirely true, for example in Mayberry mod I've seen calls to heart attack in front of the hospital.
Statue of Liberty has some "unique" equipment and procedures, I do love their dorky little rig though, its so cute
At the Erie Co. fair they use basically that to transport a patient to a "Aid Station" before being transported to the hospital.

I had an idea for a call maybe something like "United States Forestry Service Personnel missing" how possible is that to make?
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but as of yet no one has made a hard suction or drafting script so a good workaround would be to put "dry hydrants" where the roads meet water sources. Worth noting that rural firefighting is ALL about water shuttling and that's going to be a hassle if you want realism.
There's a drafting script in ERS Berlin mod I believe
-
Yeah, Deluxe had some nice events, like the attempted suicide by drowning (one more water rescue event is always good), and then there was a special event, which activated, when a big traffic jam was starting to gather, so that made traffic control a bit easier (you wouldn't forget about it, at least). I'll look up if I can get the event from Deluxe map to mine.
And a small update for the agency that was left out for quite a long time - USFS Tactical Water Tender - Unit numbering may be a subject of change
Cab model by MikeyPI
Wheels and lighting equipment by itchboy
Model edit, custom rear and texture by Ace612
I'm sorry if you have answered this in the past but as you are including a water tender I assume you are including the limited water supply script?

Are the callouts going to be announced by the british guy or will you add in a dispatch more like OES dispatches for forest fires in California? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-iQhGNxvyg here's an example of what I'm talking about.
-
Custom events unfortunately require mission script logic which is very very very hard to do. Believe me.
The most one can do is use the default Em4 events and position them in a way that the forest complicates them and makes them more difficult to solve. An example would be a gas explosion in a cabin surrounded by trees. Now that would be a challenge.
That is every firefighters nightmare

The guy in that video is wuss.
I won't dispute that

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQ_XH_RHr2A Here's a video of forest firefighting in Oregon, including some vehicles for the USFS if you want to try to model them

I have one small question about the mod, will the paramedics be ambo or "Rescue Squad" based?, as I know in Northview South County there are both.
-
I actually am a plane expert and you guys were waaaaaaaaaayyyy wrong. Its a DC-10 or an MD 11. 737 only have 2 engines and are much shorter. As you can see, that plane has 3 engines, 2 on the wings and 1 on the rudder/tail. They are used mostly for cargo and the 747 are really big and are built for long flights. They have 4 engines, 2 on each wing. Here are some pictures.https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcS8kEgEcjX1_1FIDJ2SJ8y36Ub6nYmxl6QrSE-3cGFUZjLcWwxI
Thanks, I was just making a guess, as a nonplane expert.
-
Here's a quick screen capture of the station right before I put the texture on it.
-
Might wanna just stick with the USFS plain if you don't feel like reskinning it, the USFS would be there and would be deploying air tankers most likely if the fire got that big.
Good point, I've only seen one or two mods re-texture it anyways.
-
Thanks, I'll definitely consider this.
Damn that thing is enormous. Did they just convert an airliner into it?
And that is a 737 or 747 to answer the mini-writing
-
If you include the forestry plane in the mod here is a pic of tanker 911 working a forest fire in Oregon
-
Alex how the stations coming on mate
By the look of it I can forget the Chicago Fire one, the one you have looks fine. The other couple are nearly done, maybe an hour or 2 of work left in them.
-
Thank you.

I thought the green lights on the cfd vehicles was a nod to the city's fishing heritage?
Green light technically means medical, at least where I am, but that could easily be the case here.
-
Jesus this looks absolutely spot on with the fire and police units (lighting could be a little better), love it anyways! Can't wait
(This coming from someone who does live in Chicago and sees a lot of these emergency units on a daily basis)
Is the lighting inaccurate or is it the coloring being off?
-
Looks great!

I've seen many rangers have those spotlights on vehicles.
I've mainly see them on utility vehicles for Verison or National Grid

[New Mod/Recruitment] Brookville Hospital Mod

This is a very interesting idea. It sounds like it will be in a way like RTS mods but also very different. Good luck on this mod.
