  1. Progress has been slow do to my school schedule as well as work schedule however I have been working on this in my spare time and hope to make more progress this week while I am off from school. To share a piece of progress the main body of Engine 2 is being created and is in a very early state at this time, using Itchboy's Heavy Duty Sutphen cab with the body made by myself. Additionally Rescue 7 has been created and is almost done with skinning and lighting.

  2. Progress of this mod is continuing to those who have interest. The first Ambulance has been created with the use of Itchboy's E350 Ambulance with the old rotary lightbar removed. Skin done by myself based on the Ambulance of the Evans Center Fire Company. The Next ambulance which will be created will most likely be an AMR ambulance using the same model with a different skin. Also Engine 2 is getting closer to being completed as well as the beginning of modeling for Rescue 3 a Spartan Rescue.

  3. Okay. I am having a slight problem with a texture in a mod I am doing. I have edited the .png to be (mostly) what I want it as and have it in the correct folder for that model and named as the path that the model draws from. However the vehicle doors do not have the texture on them, only the main body. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

  4. Hello everyone. I decided to create a mod based around my own town. I doubt anyone knows where this is but Evans is about 30 minutes south of Buffalo and is a relatively rural community. There are 7 fire companies which serve this town operating 9 stations. My company (Evans Center) will probably be the main station due to our diversity of units(plus obvious bias but lets ignore that). I may add in Angola due to their Ladder truck or simply make that a mutual aid company. I currently have completely skinned our chiefs car(9) and am in the process of skinning our utility car(7-1). I am also in the process of modeling our engine 2, a 2005 Sutphen, using itchboy's cab as a base. Any modelers would be appreciated as I am not extremely skilled at it but if need be I can certainly manage myself. For the 9 and 7-1 I am using the Expedition from Mayberry mod.

  5. In NY where I am all fire companies have EMT-B ambulances. They used to have EMT-I but when AMR(previously Rural/Metro) came in with paramedic ambulances covering the town the fire companies went to only EMT-B. Generally fire companies here don't even transport because AMR takes every call even when they clearly are not needed

  6. That is very true. Generally we won't get any AMAs because either family or their doctor gets on the phone with them and tells them they should go in. Most of the calls are there was a medical problem but it was really minor and there's no reason for transport

Thats interesting. So some cases actually have them get taken to jail?

In the current script setup, the drunk person and altered mental state calls are programmed to require police, but then they only detain the person and put them in the ambulance.

Generally they will choose the medical treatment over going to jail. It's basically go to the hospital with us or them though. Other times if they are drunk and violent the patient will be handcuffed or soft-restrained to the stretcher and a officer must ride in the ambulance to the hospital in the ambulance. Some officers try to get around this by saying they will follow the ambulance in their car, but they are supposed to be in the ambulance. I think I have only seen one time the drunk person has been taken straight to the jail.

I didnt have time this weekend to show the more complicated calls, but here's something that was requested by a lot people. What can I do to make it look a bit less....harsh? @Ghost Graphic Designs correctly pointed out that it looks like the patient just "noped" out of the scene so Id appreciate information into how patient refusals go and how long they take.

Being on a volunteer ambulance with a fire company, 99% of the time there's a paid company there for around 3 or 4 minutes before we arrive. Generally after that is a 10-15 minute time where we do evaluation and determine if the patient can refuse. (They cannot if they are altered mental). After they refuse with the ambulance, generally patrol will have them sign a statement saying that they refused.

Edit- Then looking at drunk patients they qualify under altered mental status. They either go to the hospital with the ambulance or they get taken by patrol

Hey itchboy, I found a topic where someone had actually made a script that lets the game realize the need to transport in an ALS vehicle rather than a BLS vehicle. Thought you might want to take a look.

That sounds kind of like the transport script in Jackson County. In that mod the ambulance will transport emergency or non-emergency traffic depending on the state of the patient

  10. As this is a long topic I apologize if I missed something but as you are discussing povs, will the povs be like in the original Mayberry mod (A unit you can control like the engines and such), or will they be like in the prior Montana mod where they are spawned off map with no player control?
