The idea is nice, but the 'city works' do not really play a great role in EM4. V1.7 already have a second fire station on the map. I just don't really see a reason to spend hours on adding such a simple city works depot.

Arrest or shoot them, put them in vehicles and take them away (to HQ by using 'Go Home' command).

He meant the 'Missing child' mission. If you paid attention you were able to find some evidence leading to the child, like a ball.

Can't say at the moment, but the prison van might be usefull to any event with multiple suspects. So far, I have finished one mission and I'm working on a second one which will look like the 'president mission' in the EM3 version of the LA mod. I will probably make a 'missing child/person' mission as well (or any other mission where you need to investigate).

@ topfuzz: I have never seen or heard of that problem that before. Something else: One of the textures in v1.6 have issues with certain Nvidia cards or drivers again. The wheels and doors of the FBI command vehicle have that problem. People who have that problem can download the file below. Unpack the .zip package and move the .dds file to the following folder and replace the old file: ".../Mods/Los Angeles Mod v1.6/Models/Vehicles/03 LA Police/" fbi_command_2.zip

So far, I've planned to add 1 vehicle. When MikeyPI comes back to life again () I can finally add the LASD Prison Van to v1.7. There might be more stuff ofcourse, but v1.7 will be more focused on missions and freeplay instead of unit improvements (like v1.6).

Thanks for your offer, but I can't. I am very busy at the moment. I don't need help with modelling because there isn't much I need right now. I did alot to the mod the past 2 weeks, because the weather just sucks here. And remember, I don't live in the United States, so why should I know much about LA?

Crowds do not really gather at events in this game. There are waiting points on the freeplaymaps and I think they are causing problems (in multiplayer), but I didn't change these aswell.

Lesson 2: Don't release a suspect after you've arrested him/her. It's probably a bug in EM4. Sometimes people blow away after an explosion and stand up again. Your suspect was on the edge of dying (too close to explosion, but not that close) and stood up, although the game shows him as dead so you can't shoot him. Looks like a bug in EM4 to me. What did you do to him after this?

You can uninstall older versions. The new version includes everything again. The readme has the same instructions:

They are just standing still at certain positions? People had that problem in 1.4 already. But it's just not possible the problems are caused by the mod. I DID NOT edit any of paths or any related things. I absolutely don't have a clue what causes that problem. Bad connection maybe? Or just a bug in Emergency 4? I don't know.

I can't seem to fix the rollback issues. The animation where the bed slides off just plays in some occasions. I will probably delete the animations in v1.7. They're more annoying than a good addition now. Keep in mind that only the bed has animations. I couldn't even animate the payload.

I just checked the script of the 'buy FBI agent' commands and I forgot to add the code to assign the spawned person to the right user in multiplayer. Thanks alot for giving me the hint.

Deluxe is German indeed. The Los Angeles mod contains English language files, so when you play the mod the game is almost English.

You didn't read my instructions. Your target line should be: "D:\Program Files\sixteen tons entertainment\Emergency 4 Deluxe\Em4Deluxe.exe" -game -mod "Los Angeles Mod v1.6" I told you to add something not to replace or delete (-game in this case).

Modding Emergency 4 can be soon as one of the hobbies, but that is not my only hobby.

That must have something to do with your videocard or drivers, not Vista. What are your computer specs? You might want to try this: Remove/Uninstall all (older) videodrivers, restart pc, install newest driver. I had videoproblems while having 3 different Nvidia drivers installed in different locations on my old pc last year. Emergency 4 might be the problem too. You have the same problem with/without other mods?
