Hoppah = Amazing! worked a treat for me until my game crashed...i'll download the config file and start using that and hopefully that'll sort it

there arent any (or many?) icons that need to be changed as its text overlayed onto a blank image isnt it? ...on the main menu thats how it goes anyway and other images are picture based so dont need changing

too many translations and not enough copies of the game i had started translating em4 deluxe but not sure if people would use it or not so stopped as i felt it would be a waste of my time

The reason he didnt show us is probably because it's still being worked on although I'm sure he'll let us know

The problem wasnt with how to edit the xml files. I also use wordpad to do this. Stan had a good tip of using internet explorer to see if there were errors and there was an error in the part of the file which calibrates the voice recognition. i have since removed this section to see if the rest works and it does. i will try and find the problem and look at readding it shortly. thanks for the advice

Hi Folks, I need some help. I'm currently trying to translate EM4 Deluxe to English and whilst I've successfully translated much of the data it appears 'dodgy' in the game. For example all the console buttons say; I believe these buttons are changed via mainmenu.xml ID_STATIC_CAMPAIGN ID_STATIC_FREEPLAY ID_STATIC_MULTIPLAYER ID_STATIC_MODS ID_STATIC_OPTIONS ID_STATIC_SAVEGAMES ID_STATIC_CREDITS ID_STATIC_QUIT ID_STATIC_BACK2GAME Rather than having their correct titles appear. Does anyone know why? I've created a new language within the Lang folder called 'en' and edited em4deluxe.cfg to respresent the english file. As a test I put the mainmenu.xml file into the new 'en' folder and that worked but obviously it made it all german again. Thanks for any help you have

i had a problem in game the other day where my fire engine had gone where i asked it to go (to a car park) but had positioned itself awkwardly so that it got itself stuck. thankfully I was able to tow a car that was blocking it and then move the fire engine. not a very helpful post by me but if anyone gets stuck in a car park on game then tow other cars out of the way

i found out today that people still use dialup...i laughed in the womans face!!! bit rude of me but come on get with the times
