  1. Sorry for double-posting.

I've got some news! For those who didn't knew it, Patch 1 will be released near Christmas! It'll include:

    • Brand-new emergency units;
    • New set of dispatch icons with real-life pictures of the vehicles and special icons to designate units with certain types of equipment (HAZMAT and/or extrication);
    • Some new scripts;
    • All bugs, glitches and errors fixed (untill further notice);
    • New sounds for an immersive and realisti gameplay;
    • Improved station models, as well as parking and dispatch scripts;

As an extra, I bring you some of those brand-new units:

    • Lisbon's Regiment Fire Brigade Diving Unit 01 (VAME 01)

    KHrrztF.png?2

The firefighter will be able to equip the diving equipment on-scene and the vehicle will be at the on-map fire station.

    • Lisbonenses VFD brand-new Ambulances 01 and 06 (pic)

    PeeopPh.png?1

Originally Dutch, this ambulance was presented at our anniversary, as well as Ambulance 06. It'll still be painted with our red/white livery and the Dutch paint-scheme is temporary.

    GaxXTAM.png?1

This ambulance came from Pamplona's EMS, in Spain. It has been adapted to our laws (blue lights and red/white paintjob).

    • Campo de Ourique VFD Ambulance 02

    v31jR8M.png?1

Yeah, I had this one made for V1, but forgot to add it. It's finished now with some nice LED rotators.

    t5rdbcX.png?1

One of the most-seen ambulances in Lisbon.

    • PSP Traffic Division patrol car

    2EXASsR.png?1

I saw this one yesterday. It's one of the new units that the government provided to several cities around Portugal.

Hope you enjoyed the update. :)

  2. I have a question, which unit do I have to call to get a diver? Just had a accident and I just called random units in the hope that in one of those vehicles was a diver, but no luck, she died. :(

And is there a difference Portugal between those INEM ambulances and those from the volunteer fd? Are INEM ambulances ALS and volunteer fd's BLS? or do they all have the same medical skills etc?

Oops... Sorry, forgot about the divers! :(

In Lisbon, all the VFDs are trained as the professionals (INEM and RSB), so they have the same training and skills as them. As they say around our VFDs: "Trained as professionals, but volunteers for passion." :)

  3. He fixed it by checking the streets editor (Shift F7)

If the lines are red, then there is a street which is not connected to the rest of the system. The lines MUST intersect at any given point. It is a massive pain in the ass to find, but when you do, you won't need to change anything anymore.

The streets ARE NOT the texture, but the blue lines similar to paths (BUT NOT THE PATHS) that the player vehicles use to go to places. They use it to find the best route to go to any location on the map.

One way to narrow down which street is causing issues is to start from the bottom going up. Check all of the newly created streets you setup for any of the FD or PD stations. The issue might be there.

Thanks for the quick reply. Gonna check it out.

EDIT: Fixed. One of the streets near the statue roundabout was underground, I optimized it, "Move to floor" and "Move to ground" seemed to fix everything. Yay! :D

  4. That's embarrassing. Have been using the four firefighters inside the station to dispatch units. derp

But great mod. Never seen anything at all like it; very unique. Love the noises when you call in units from RSB, when you call loads in it's like a huge alarm going off.

    Anyway, awesome!

That'll work, too. :P Thanks for the feedback and sorry for the bugs. They will be terminated.

  5. Alright I'm failing at this mod x-x idk how to play as shown in my youtube video.

    Hi.

First of all, select "Modo 1" because the other gamemode doesn't work and I forgot to remove it.

    1. Load the freeplay map.
    2. After loading, you should have a fire station with some vehicles.
    3. To dispatch a unit, click the groups icon (1,2,3,4). 1- RSB 2- Lisbonenses VFD (the station in the map center) 3- National EMS, Police and HAZMAT teams. 4- Backup Volunteer FDs
    4. Click on the unit you want to send.
    5. Click on where you want to send it to.
    6. Take care of the call, etc. etc.
    7. Send the unit back to the station.
    8. Repeat.

    Stretcher:

    1. Select the two paramedics.
    2. Click on the stretcher icon.
    3. Click on the ambulance to make them fetch the stretcher.

    Removing the stretcher:

    1. Click on the "Drop stretcher" command.

Don't worry, I'll rework the call icons to make the job easier for you guys, I know it can get confusing sometimes with cloned icons and I apologize for that; it's unacceptable to have double icons when it's such an important thing to have everything clear and readable. :)

  6. Absolutely a great mod! My favorite! But I have found some bugs unfortnunately:

    • When you call the police car for the second time, sometimes the car arrives without any policemen. I found the cause to be the parking at the police station. The police car parks in the garden of the house next to the station and the policemen don't have enough time to run to the car so it drives away without them. Yeah, I noticed that too, I'll make a new police station for the next version.
    • When I get the call for a gas explosion with causualties, there are injured people without any models, so the medics will treat them, but I can't see them and get them on a stredger. That one's new. Gotta take a look into it.
    • One engine doesn't use the right side of the road and just drives everywhere when going to a call. This is the older atego from the northern station. The driver's probably drunk. :P I'll see what I can do, should be the streets.
    • Ambulance under button 3 doesn't have a siren. That bug's my nemesis. I tried to fixed it but still, no solution, still trying though.
    • Coroners van is missings 'parkatbase' button and can't go back. Goddammit... Totally forgot about that one. Blame the cloned prototype, forgot to add it.
    • One smaller engine with the steel white cage around it won't go back when I click on the 'P' button, I will have to look which one it was. Yeah, It's VFCI 03, VFCI 51 and VLCI 22. I probably f'ed up the parking script.

I haven't found any other significant bugs. Great job! No first release of a mod will ever be without bugs so I'm really happy that this one is so good!

Thanks all for the positive feedback and for reporting the bugs. I'll release a new version on Christmas with some new vehicles, buildings and with all those bugs fixed. Untill there, keep your distance from the bugged stuff. :P

  7. Ghost - you're actually understated on this forum; well done and thank you for another great mod, it's awesome :) I would ask you if you know anything about what kind of dispatch groups are used in real life?

Thank you! Well, the only thing I know is the vehicles they send to each calls and what's their purpose (F.E. the RSB Light Pumpers carry the Watch/Station Manager, which coordinates all the teams on-scene). The dispatch groups in the modification were organized this way:

    1. RSB (the most important FD in the city)
    2. Lisbonenses VFD (the second most important, for me, because of the reasons specified on the presentation post)
    3. Government units (INEM, Police Dept. and National Guard GIPS)
    4. Backup Volunteer FDs

Not sure if this is what you were asking, but there you go. :P

  8. Traffic bug near rsb station and Forrest and one of the vehicles at the port has a missing modfile also one near where the old la stattion is with the la pd sign corranas don't go back to station neither does VFCI03

    Gunswat

Copy that. Could you please report and send the rest of the bugs via-PM (sorry lol)? It's better to keep track of them there. :)

    Precisely 2 years later, we're back!  :)

Welcome to the official RSB Simulator/Modification topic!

This modification is a serious project which aims to recreate the emergency services infrastructure of Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal. The project is focused in Lisbonenses Volunteer Fire Department and Lisbon's Regiment Fire Brigade (professional F.D.), but you also have other services at your disposal (National EMS Institute, Police Department and some other Volunteer Fire Depts. from Lisbon). The mechanics are pretty different than what this community is used to, since I incorporated both several dispatchers (one for each service) and the modified limited water supply script, you can expect a challenging gameplay. The events on this modification are strictly EMS and FD; Police will control the traffic and bystanders.

    Units at your disposal:

    • Lisbon's Regiment Fire Brigade on-map fire station:

    M3RWEuU.png?1

A medium-size fire station which houses the essencial to keep your operational area safe. 2 Ambulances, 2 Fire Engines, 1 Light Pumper, 1 Tanker, 1 Ladder, 1 Logistics Unit and 1 USAR Vehicle.

    • Lisbon's Regiment Fire Brigade off-map fire station:

    OzWoUr0.png?1

This station houses some special vehicles that can be useful in large-scale emergencies. 1 Light-Pumper, 1 Engine (the newer MB Atego has firefighters that can change into HAZMAT suits), 1 Fire Engine, 1 Ladder, 1 HAZMAT Unit (which can deploy a tent), 1 Wildland Engine and 1 Brush Unit.

    • Lisbonenses Volunteer FD:

    rp1qh2x.png?1

This is the Volunteer FD which I belong to. It's quickly growing since the new commander took over, none of the Volunteer FDs have support from the city hall, so all of the money that we get to buy new equipment comes from our hard work, some organized events and by some people who make some great donations. Only in 2014, we got 2 new Ambulances, 1 Personnel Carrier, 1 Wildland Engine, a Logistics trailer and he's planning on buying what seems to be the first Aerial Ladder in Lisbon that's owned by a Volunteer FD.

This house has lots of vehicles, but you'll only be able to dispatch the 6 Ambulances, 1 Fire Engine, 1 Wildland Engine, 1 Light Pumper, 1 Tanker and the Command Vehicle.

    • Beato Volunteer Fire Department:

    L3FlUzU.png?1

This is one of the VFDs which are dispatched off-map. I dare to say that these guys have the worst fire station in Portugal and the conditions in which they work on are pretty crappy. Nevertheless, Beato's firefighters/paramedics are always very professional and they know how work's done. They has the biggest volunteer ambulance fleet in the whole city, so they're always very busy with calls.

You can only dispatch 2 of the 7 ambulances they have and a Light Pumper (all off-map).

    • Ajuda Volunteer Fire Department:

    RgjTqSN.png?1

The people from this house are absolutely badass, only because they own the only past-German Fire Engine in Lisbon. Despite their conditions and monetary issues, Ajuda has an essencial role in keeping the city safe. Only the Fire Engine and one of their Ambulances will be able to be dispatched (off-map), but their fleet is slighty bigger.

    • Cabo Ruivo Volunteer Fire Department:

    05WU81D.png?1

Cabo Ruivo has a big fleet of units, but I decided to only make this ambulance because of the siren. It's the only dispatchable unit from this VFD (off-map).

    • Lisboa's Volunteer Fire Department:

    PDGxQo1.png?1

Not to be confused with Lisbonenses! I know some of the guys from this house and they're pretty cool. This is the oldest VFD in Lisbon, so it was obligatory to recreate atleast their most famous ambulance; the only one that you'll be able to dispatch (off-map).

    • Campo de Ourique Volunteer Fire Department + São Francisco Xavier Fly-Car:

    Tm9MCYH.png?1

Because both the VFD and the Hospital are located on the Western side of the city, I decided to keep them together. As you may know, these are dispatched off-map and only serve as backup, like the previous ones.

    • Republican National Guard Intervention Unit:

    bs6Ske7.png?1

Despite being part of a Police/Military organization, the GIPS operatives are somewhat compared to special-firefighters. The guys on these two vehicles will be dispatched off-map and are responsible to support the HAZMAT and USAR operations that you'll encounter throughout the gameplay. The bigger vehicle will be able to deploy a decontamination tent (different from the RSB one) and the personnel also has different gear.

    • Public Safety Police:

    zlVu6t5.png?1

The police station will have 4 playable units. 2 Cruisers, 1 Personnel Carrier (with some rapid-intervention police officers known as EIR) and 1 Coroner's van (with its own different "GoToHospital" script).

    • St. Joseph's Fly-Car + Hospital:

    FGXfFjq.png?1

Also known as Central Lisbon's busiest Hospital, this unrealistic representation seems good enough to handle the victims. The Fly-Car will respond quickly to any serious calls and will be used to check and confirm dead victims (to be transported in the Coroner's van), for realism, mostly.

This modification will be released on the 14th December 2014 (this Sunday, 2 days): the date was chosen because it is the same as Lisbonenses' VFD Birthday, since this modification was made specially for the men and women that belong to it.

Credits will be added to the readme and I'm also currently working on the permissions.

    Special thanks:

    • To the guys from the Lisbon's Regiment Fire Brigade 3rd Company for their time and patience to show me the ins and outs of the way how they operate, the station and vehicles.
    • To all of my friends from Lisbonenses VFD, specially the Commander, who's supporting this project since the very beggining.
