      From what I could see, the BF3 plot was pretty much headed the exact same way as the Modern Warfare storyline, except it was too short to even get there. False flag attacks on a country to trigger World War 3? Hmmm... "No Russian", anyone? Besides, the campaign took control away from you every 5 minutes or so for some kind of cutscene, you could almost feel like the game was playing itself.

      Haven't tried BF3's MP mode yet, and it does look promising. However I'd treat it and COD as two different concepts, not competing ones. MW3 is based on smaller maps and solely shooting, while BF has vehicular gameplay (which is a downside when you consider that most vehicles that require teamplay to operate properly are taken in a matter of seconds by an idiot kid who immediately crashes them).
