  2. I uploaded it this morning to the download section. I think it needs to be approved by an admin before it'll be available. Hopefully you can get it that way if it's still needed. I'll try here also.. If you cant extract this one, use the one in the download section**** fixedPaths.zip
  3. Nobody said suggestions and thoughts were off-limits, MonkeySquasher. If we're not allowed to discuss anything other than the map, the thread might as well be locked or relegated to "that looks neat!". Hoppah says he has 15% of the map done and 40% filled; so, if someone has a suggestion it would seem that now is in fact the time. Weather those suggestions are taken, or even replied to would be at Mr. Hoppah's discretion. .....and just to keep you off my back, That looks neat! Looking foward to the beta.
  4. Some of you guys play this like it's some kind of a game, or something I try and shoot for realism. I also use Wood's 1.2 map with fixed paths, and I edited my .xml to start with only $10,000 instead of $150,000. So, officer saftey is first and foremost in my city. I have 2 cruisers on patrol, each with 2 officers. I have 1 LASD officer and a cruiser on call-out in the far north near the camp grounds, 1 motorcycle cop on call-out in the far south and one 2 man police team on foot (no car) in the central area. And that is it. All fire, medical and technician teams are dispatched from the station or HQ. No staging grounds, no patroling fire engines.

  6. Mod Experts, Et Al: Here is my wish list of 'things' - FreePlay - Allow Police Officers to go on foot patrol with a 'patrol city' command like the one in The L.A. Mod FreePlay - Escort or Follow command for police cars like the one available to the police chopper FreePlay - Mounted Police, as in horse patrol FreePlay - Units that cost more. I edited my .xml to start with $10K, but I still have no problem getting all the units I want/need - More expenses needed. Missions - Lots of new models in these mods, but there is a huge lack of missions. I've done all the standard missions, all the LA Mod missions and am now bored Tutorials - A guide for rookies on mission making. Yes, I've read the current one, but still have many questions. We need one for neophytes. FreePlay - News Crew - Like a random events - When you have more than 2 emergency vehicles on site allow for the possibility for a news crew to show up. They would hinder your emergency crews by 'being in the way' (requring a police presence) and also would run the risk of getting themlselves hurt (by getting too close to fires, gunfights etc.)

  8. Thanks Shane! That actually wasn't too bad, and it did help a bit - Even though I only did a few paths around the stations and hospital. It seems like they are really bad though, those paths. Even walking paths seem to be messed up - How do you fix those? Also, can you 'add additional' red vehicle paths? If so, do you just do that by clicking the 'new" button on the unnamed area?
  9. Read back over the last few pages for #2. If you fix it, post the map for others, please - Since some people claim to have fixed it, but never make it available for everyone else.
  10. With vehicles I think there is something in the editor that allows you specify if they were 'enterable' - Im not sure if that's what you're looking for, but do recall seeing it. Also, every day I check this forum HOPING that someone will fix the pathing issues with this thing and 1.8.

  12. Seems unplayable. There is super lag time between orders given and orders carried out. I tell an ambulance at the station to respond to a heart attack...he just sits for like 3 minutes with sirens on in the garage, then rolls. Same with police and fire.
  13. You have to buy photoshop or paintshop pro. I think you need to use the .dds converter tool (downloads section) to repaint skins and zmodeler make a whole new vehicle. Paintshop is pretty cheap, it's only like $30 at Fry's.
  14. So I download one of the maps from here: http://downloads.emergency-planet.com/inde...egory&id=20 It's in .jpg format. I save it as a .tga and place in 'mymod' maps folder. Then I import 'floor', click on the .tga file and try to save it as maptest, click OK and the editor crashes. What am I doing wrong?
  15. Could use a helpful nudge with mission making for LA Mod - The tutorial says.... It seems unclear - First he is talking about a texture and 512x512 then it jumps to a map. Do I download a map or floor texture first and exactly what do I do with them?? http://downloads.emergency-planet.com/inde...egory&id=20 It might seem retarded, but I'd just like to get a clean map to start making an LA Mod mission.
