The titles says it all, but I'll explain.
Hoppah release his Additional Units Submod Found HERE

Anyway I want to change some units at each station around.
Fire Station
I would like to replace the old BLS ambulance with the new Large Rescue ambulance, but I have a couple issues.
1.) Is it possible to add a park command to this unit, so after a call it returns to its parking spot at the fire house.
2) If part 1 works, Where do I go in Shane's script to remove the BLS ambulance and replace it with the LR ambulance.
3) Where do I go after that to change the staffing, so the LR (Large Rescue) ambulance is staffed when the alarm sounds.
Police Station
I'd like to replace a few vehicles here.
Key: Original vehicle --> Replacement
UMPC 3 --> BP Dodge Charge
UMPC 2 --> BP Chevrolet Tahoe
UMPC 1 --> ATF CV
LAPD Swat --> NEW LAPD Swat
LAPD Swar --> NEW LAPD Swat
LAPD 6 --> CHP Chevrolet Camaro
LAPD 5 --> LAPD Chevrolet Impala
LAPD 6 --> LAPD Chevrolet Impala
Anyway, my plan is to replace the old cars, with the new ones. Then I'd like to have the old cars staffed like the old cars were (when the alarm goes off), also I'd like them to return to their designed parking place.
So, all I need to know is
Where do I need to go to change the cars around
Where do I need to go to staff the cars
AND..
Is all this possible
I do expect some errors, bugs, etc so trial and error, but I'm willing to do that part on my own.

Couple Questions
1.) I want to change the ALS ambulance to the Heavy Ambulance (the new one added) how do I go about replacing that one, and adding new staff.
2.) I want to add some new units (border, and impla), where do I go to change the police cars parked outside of the station, and where do I change the unit staffing command.
PS: What do I need to change, and Thank You in advance.

You only need two things
1.) Good Ole Q (regular or electronic)
2.) Air Horn
Power call has never, nor will it ever belong on a fire truck, in my own opinion. Now, the dual sirens other countries use, there not bad. Annoying, but they do seem to work.

With the release of our beloved Los Angeles Mod 1.9 comes a great change. The map we play on has changed, the location of station two has changed, and most of all, how we play the game has changed.
Add Shanes mod into the scenario, and how fast fires spread, with the additional traffic problems (oddly mimicking real life), your now battling time, as well as the fires.
For example: In 1.8 I wasn't as realistic as I could have been. To house fires I'd send one engine (depending on how far it was), I'd do the same to shrub / car fires (letting the deck gun do the work). I wouldn't send additional units unless the fire had spread to another house, or it was near the middle of the map. This method wasn't realistic to say the least, it was more of a lazy method with a bit of speed thrown into the equation. However, things have changed in 1.9, and what units I send out has also changed. Personally, I believe fire spreads more rapidly in 1.9 than in 1.8 (I could be wrong), so I've changed my dispatch policy (as displayed below).

Hoppah's
Recently, I've had an issue with fires, and the lights coming off the fires. For example, when I respond to a fire a triangular symbol sometimes shines across the screen coming from the fire. It's kinda like when the lights on a police car mess up, you see a red box where the light should be. I'm trying to make a video, but I'm having issues with fraps.
Also, sometimes a weird static comes across the screen, I'm not sure what causes this either but its annoying. I downloaded the mod from a mirror, and I don't know if that matters. Also, even after adding shanes mod I'm still having these same issues.

When I dispatch a unit sometimes it won't move, it'll take a minute, while other times you have to manually dispatch it to a scene. Also, when the first alarm sounds the battalion chief doesn't respond to his unit, a regular FF does. Also, is it possible to have the ambulances staffed with one paramedic, and a stretcher team instead of two paramedics.

Good mod, one question though.
When I start the game, everyone loads into their unit. Unfortunately, no commands come up. I cant get anyone to exit the car, or send a unit anywhere, anyone know why.
Edit: Now it works, so I dunno.

Yeah well I just hope there aren't any missions that require the dog, cause I don't use LASD, maybe CHP, but mainly LAPD just cause its too anoying to fuss about with all the different officers and everything.
Guess you'll be failing those missions then.
Your kidding? It isn't hard to send one unit out when you need it, and how confusing is it to have different officers on a map. Do you even play the game in a realistic manor, or have you crammed swat units into the LAPD cars to cut down on "confusion"?
PS: If Hoppah is adding a new unit, I'm sure sooner or later we'll get some type of mission or command that relates to it.

Only one dog in this list matters, the German Shepherd. It's the primary dog used in protecting an officers. Beagles, and bloodhounds would be good if we were replacing the search and rescue dog though ..

Personally, I think the ladder truck has always been on the front line of debate. Unlike engines their are numerous varieties of ladder trucks, and now we have a tiller. The tiller is okay, some like it some don't, but that's people own opinion. I was wondering, (since our units are based off LA units), does LA have any mid-mounted ladders like ..

Hoppah, has it become possible for the police to re-route on cars in the line their in? I know we talked about that in another topic and you said you noticed it in testing but didn't know if anything could be done to fix this. I hadn't mentioned anything prior to that, because I know your busy with patches, and tweaking. Anyway, I was just wondering if there was any new news in regards to that.

Just a minor question.
I assume creating building isn't as hard as re-skinning. So, I was wondering will their be an HQ for each respective unit?
1 for the Coast Guard
1 for the Board Patrol
1 for the FBI / ATF (more like a government building)
.. so forth.

Doesn't matter much now. Since the release of the new mod I've been using the LAX ambo a little more. Mainly because the new map is bigger (In my opinion), and I get tired of seeing the red ALS ambulances running around the map, adds a little diversity.
Anyway, doesn't matter much. I was curious at the time I created this thread. Curiosity satisfied.

I don't know. I've come to the conclusion when you put your mind to it you can usually do anything, regardless if it was though impossible. When I look at your mod, and the other mods created I'm amazed. They all just get better, and better, adding more realism.
Good policy though, prevents people asking a ton of questions about something that hasn't been created. As always looking forward to 2.0 in the future

Rapid Deployment
Auto Connect / Disconnect
Pursuit
Rapid Deployment will always be a favorite when it comes to fighting fires. More so in 1.9 because I've noticed the fires in this new mod spread to surround structures and plants if there near by
Auto Connect / Disconnect : I'll admit this one caught me off guard, when I clicked the engine to disconnect my units from the engine I started to attend another accident. When I returned I didn't see my FF's, and I began to wonder where they went. At first I though they might have gotten on another engine by accident. However, when I clicked on that engine I noticed they had already gotten on board. This feature is a plus, especially when your finishing a call, and you get another that's right near you.
Pursuit: I like this feature because it saves time, I don't like my cops or there cars being shot or damaged, but when your under pressure this command helps a lot. It shows its worth when your fighting a fire, or on multiple medical calls, and have a riot or something break out.
PS: Chris I don't think Hoppah has anything else in store after this mod. I believe I recall seeing him say something about wanting to further his career, or schooling. In any case that would require a LOT less time here, and more time in his life. Regardless though, yes a wonderful mod, and were quite grateful.

The yellow number is your frames per second, you can turn that off in Fraps itself. Try to use the half-size function in the video settings of Fraps, maybe you can record for a longer time then. Fraps records without compression, you are going to need a program like Windows Movie Maker to (edit and) shrink the video. You can also combine your 2 video's Movie Maker.
This I know, I know that the yellow numbers are your fraps per second, and when it turns red that means it recording. I know to start recording you hit F9, and I have Windows Movie Maker. My only issues are how do you compress a video? And to combine to videos do you drag them both into the Windows Movie maker? Also, my issue with the red/yellow numbers is simple, when I replay a video I recorded I see the yellow numbers in the right hand corner. I don't believe I should be able to see these numbers when I replay the video, am I correct? Thanks in advance.

i say you use windows movie maker to low the size of the movie as hoppah saidand the yellow nemburs should turn red that mean that you have start recording you can change the button that you press to record

Alright, I load the game, and press F9 to start the recording. I only have two issues.
1.) I see the yellow numbers in the corner of the video I record
2.) It cuts off at about 8ish minutes
3.) The video is about 3.90 GB and I can't upload it to youtube
So what I want to know.
1.) How do I remove the yellow numbers from a video
2.) Is it possible to allow fraps to keep recording continues, instead of cutting it into two videos after it passes 8 minutes
3.) How do I shrink a 3.90 gb video to under 2 gb for youtube

caused by redirecting traffic! Be careful to redirect! Frankly speaking its no need to redirect at all!
At the accident scene just place your units the way not to block traffic. If its impossible - let civil car to wait till you finish your work at the scene. Dont redirect traffic.
Yes, Patroling in the west part of the map does cause jams. Just redirect patrol car wich follows that path to patrol clockwise and it wont cause a single jam!

Thats the bad bag. You have to redirect traffic here and it is the reason of jam in the first pic.
BeforŅ the patch2 out, try to find where that thread comes from and block it there.
Or use the editor to fix this problem (move west VirtObj to the west)

Okay ...
Maybe it's me but I noticed if you park a cop car on a two lane road and redirect the traffic in ONE lane, you redirect the traffic in BOTH lanes. Now, it would be nice if the cars in the second lane went past the scene without turning around also. That might have to do with pathing, maybe its possible, maybe not but I would be nice.
As far as redirecting goes, what do you do if there's an accident blocking a lane? Let the cars pile up. Or perhaps you have a fire in a residential area, I've noticed fire spreads quickly to surrounding areas. Thus, you have to send multiple engines to areas around the fire. So, putting your units "out of the way" isn't always possible.

My Thoughts

Well to begin its a new map, so new events, new places to explore, new dispatch policy, and breaks up the old monogamy. In addition to that we get a new Fire House (St. 2), and new building such as Walmart, and Ralphs, and a nice river.
Dislikes:
The Tiller, I've always thought the rear of the tiller seemed off. For any given reason the tiller can fish tale, as if the rear driver was drunk. I know we said the games engine didn't permit this engine, and we wrote it off. Also, when you place a FF on the ladder he looks as though hes standing straight up when you raise the ladder, we know this is impossible, but it happens. I won't complain though seeing as we got something we first thought impossible, after intense discussion. These tiller issues may be fixed in the future, maybe not, for now I'm content with the normal ladder. I'd add some suggestions, but I believe they'd interfere with the tillers realism.
Traffic: Pathing issues? Will this get fixed, or will traffic jams always bug us.
Overwhelming: The first call I got was the normal stroke, fall, etc. Then a hostage situation, not long after that a fire, I put the fire out then theirs a car accident, while I'm dealing with that a riot breaks out. All the while I'm dealing with the hostage situation, and hes shooting at my police who are returning fire. On top of that I'm dealing with a car accident a block away, near a shrub fire.
I like the realism lol, but just feel overwhelmed at my dispatch center
My thoughts .. love the game, liked to see a few minor changes, that's about it though.

Uh ..
Wood stopped working on this map SOME time ago, so unless your working on this map yourself then your gonna be waiting a long time. Now I know some people are doing personal updates here and there, but that requires a lot of time too. Not to mention V1.9 has been released, and I'm sure the couple of people working on this map changed over to Hoppah's new map.
Best advice, find woods original map version 1, and fix the pathing issues. It's a good map, requires a little work, but it's a fun map.-
