Kinda of intteresting thing here off topic..the FDID number has 8087, the box for one world trade center

  2. Thanks for all the tips.

Here is the site of the Fire Department:

    Fort Worth Fire Department

So my next question is, Would it be better to get bigger, because I am only 5' 10", 170..but i have also heard that people who are all muscle typically don't make it because they don't have endurance.

Would it be better to run as much as possible?

strength comes with the training, of course be strong, but you dont need to be a body builder, endurence is the best thing you can have and always have a willingness to learn

  3. hydrate hydrate hydrate for your physical. the written test can be anything so just study basic subjects, they should not test you on infromation directly pertaining to firefighting, that is the point of recruit school. the physical will look at stamina and how far you will push yourself. build cardio and be able to work under high stress conditions. good luck!

  4. in my dept. you are vol. firefighter. 16 or older. the 16+17 y/o cant enter a house fire unless it is overhaul, then we can go in. in training we can do everything, tomorrow i am doing the flashover simulator. we are tranied firefighter I and II, i have my hazmat awareness, all the mayday/rit, i have all the classroom portion of EVOC, and im trained in extrication, and most of us are EMT-B so if we are on the medic unit we can do everyhting our training allows.

  5. This mod is good :) Thanks for your hard work. The only sad thing, though, is some of the extra units have no function to patrol or go back to their parking space, meaning you have to really send them off the map or leave them somewhere stupid..

All of the units return to the parking space. The AMR's have to be ordered to the firestation and they will go to the hospital instead.

If i could make one suggestion, HAZMAT is not used all that much, could the call commmand be changed to have the LEV respond instead? Just wondering. But amazing mod bro! :)

  6. This varies with dept. but i will give you what i know. (all of these are US based)

    Engine- 'Engine'

    Foam Tender- 'Foam'

    Ambulance BLS- 'Ambulance'

    Ambulance ALS- 'Medic'

    Aerial- 'Truck'

    Tiller- 'Truck'

    USAR- 'Squad' or 'Rescue'

Mass Casualty- 'EMS ops' or 'MCU'

    Hazmat- 'hazmat'

    Brush Patrol- 'wildland' or 'brush'

  7. all stand-by does is make your unit avialable for call out. this way, if you have a problem with fires in areas far from the FS, you can put an engine on stand-by in that area and when the Bc calls for it, the closest one will respond.

  8. In the US, as far as i know, the officers are either issued their own gear and arrive on scene or a SWAT or Police supply truck arrive and hand out gear to on scene officers.

On another note, if the riot becomes large enough, the National Guard is sent in which is their own story.

  9. Before i moved, i was a firefighter in Ft. Collins, they are conducting a search of the area w/ the local police.

The area of travel of the baloon is very extensive, from Ft. Collins whichis atleast 50 Miles N of Denver, to Colorado Springs Which is two hours South of Denver, so if the boy fell, it could be a long time before it is determind where he fell and landed.
