  1. Yep. Part-time and volunteers will be a feature in case shit really hits the fan.
  2. Thread updated, and the updating begins again. A lot has changed, so I wouldn't hesitate to call this an almost new project compared the old one. There's still an awful lot to be made, and therefore it's not likely the mod will be released anywhere in the nearest future.
  3. I'm still working on it, but I'm standing pretty much alone working with everything at once. I'll try to put it all into organization, then I can give you an estimation of what needs to be done, since it's all one big mess right now.
  4. Of course: http://www.4shared.com/office/ocpS8Deo/logfile.html
  5. Hi everyone. Myself and I have quite a problem. When we load a mod, and start the freeplay of it, it simply just crashes. It has been working fine but suddenly started doing this. Beyond that, neither of us has installed new modifications or so, meaning this is a quite mysterious thing. Any suggestions? So far we have tried to reinstall both the mod and the game.. Several times. Kind regards, Lasse.
  6. No thank you, we seem to have everything covered for now. Thanks for your offer, though!
  7. @HalfEatenCookie: Yep, non-commercial, yet it also say "modified, uploaded, posted, transmitted", meaning you're not allowed to copy the work and modify it for your own good. There's a donation section on their website directing to the hard work behind creating the mod, so fairly R* should have some money from those too. I marked a quote with a line underneath: You can't do that, unfortunately, you're not a moderator, even though this is your topic. Marked with italic: Yep, that's true, I know it isn't constructive critics, however it's more constructive than most other shit said around here (no offense). Marked with bold: Well, unfortunately all I can say is that, that would be your decision. When you use peoples work without mentioning their names out to the public, showing screenshots and videos of it, those accusations are actually quite relevant.
  8. And now you seem to drive this personally. Every time there's someone who comes up with some negative feedback, the person will be instantly shot down, getting hit personally by insults directed towards the writer. Why is this? Is it a lack of intelligence causing this, lemon?
  9. a) It's a donation, true, not mandatory, true, but it goes to the hard work making the mod -> R* aswell, since they seem to be a big part of it. b) Considering it's not just 3-4, more likely 30-40 judging by the screenshots I have seen only. There's atleast 1 GTA IV items on each and every screenshot, this being parts of vehicle textures, buildings, personnel and so on. c) I'm not attacking it, I'm coming with constructive critism other than "Hey guys, nice work! I'm one of a dozen buttlickers!". Why does everyone have a problem getting actual critics with a good argumentation? Pathetic, in my opinion. I assume R* would sue for such a matter, considering it is very deep. It's a matter of the signal, if R* lets us know that we can use whatever we want without it actually gets a consequence, it would go madness. They would probably send a warning to get their items removed, then they would start to take action. Again, you misunderstood me, I'm not attacking or being hostile, I'm coming with constructive critism to help Dyson and Rafael.
  10. I'm not being hostile, to let you know, I am being critic towards you simply to assist you, at least I am constructive. A) Alright, fair enough, that's up to the person who cares themselves if they want to play it or not. B) Yes, I believe R* would care considering that you are not creditting them correctly, by letting us know that only the buildings are from R* (There's a lot in your mod beyond buildings that are known from GTA IV, in which we haven't heard.). C) It's considered commercial when you have a donation section to "your work" which is made a lot by R*, it seems. D) That would be up to yourself, as said, I'm not being an asshole or a hater, I'm simply helping out so you wont get a problem. If R* cares, they could sue you enough to make you never be able to afford internet again.
  11. - Rockstar Games website, www.rockstargames.com/legal - Do you have the required rights to use material from the published games that goes under Rockstar Games?
  12. I'm currently working on a complete new and stylish topic layout. I believe it will be done tonight, hopefully. There's still quite a lot to create, but it's going very well for now. There's an update on it's way too.
  13. That's pretty ironic considering that Norway Mod is mostly reskins itself.
  14. The motorcycles looks a lot like the ones in the Aarhus mod. Is it so?
  15. Doesn't at mine. List is usually full but I found out my editor reacted strangely to it, causing there to be 10-20 invisibile mods in the modinstaller, so as I uninstalled the unnamed mods, they disappeared.
  16. Hi everyone. I got a problem with the editor. The list where I can load mods are filled with all mods I had in the past - even though they are deleted from my mods folder and not present in the modinstaller. Does anyone know how to fix this, or how to get them deleted? Kind regards, Lasse.
  17. Well, we have the ladder and a patrol car in progress. The map is doing very good and I have finally organized everything to be viewable in the editor. Progress is being made for sure.
  18. It's a bunch, and I appreciate all support. It's lovely to see that people are paying attention, whether it's 630k or 63k, it still means a lot to me I'm gonna get some new footage and images up soon, so don't worry. I'll do my best to get a good piece of media out to you all. I'm just very pressed by time.
  19. Officially, yes. On this concept, no.
  20. You're right. I have no reason to defend our mod whatsoever, it's up to the individual people to show their interest in the mod if they feel like it. About throwing the Manhattan Mod in the bucket, I don't think so. We direct towards different players. You keep yours more game-a-like while we are pretty much parallel to a simulator (in a positive manor, simulators can get very boring if not made properly).
  21. I bet you like to be surprised then, because it will come out once we're done with it. The thing I find the most annoying throughout this topic is the fact that once stuff is done differently, people get annoyed. We don't do it like all other mods, posting new images every week, since we want to surprise you, and in the end, this is all very good. You will be happy we didn't show much when we have it released, because then you can sit, look through a complete new map with no idea how the mod is on the first call. Exactly like a rookie in the FD, he have been on all of the training stages (this is you, from what info you got about the mod and the tutorial you will go through), but it will be nothing like responding to your first call. You'll achieve that feeling by having no knowledge before the mod is actually released. However, we break that a little and show few photos and videos and so on. That we do this in another way than all other mods doesn't mean ours wont come out. It just means it will come out differently. And Jake, you and I are not very different, since I love realism with all my heart. This mod will be worth waiting for if you feel the same about realism.
  22. Well that's alright. But we're very different from Dyson on many areas, also the way we release items. We don't show or say much since we want the complete wow effect to hit you like a bullet But let me just note it as we have had a lot of difficulties both in real life and in the modding section. That's an eventual delay reason. The current New York Modification has been half a year in progress. The 2 and a half other years went doing other concepts, but these are thrown away and we're now working fully on our final concept, the one that for sure will be used.
