  1. Deluxe Edition:

Gold Edition (includes the expansion pack titled Acceleration):

There is a non-deluxe 'Standard' version but I wouldn't buy it; you get fewer aircraft, fewer detailed airports, fewer detailed cities, and you can't act as an Air Traffic Controller in multiplayer. Then again, none of those features are really essential at all, as there are many freeware addons to the game as I linked above.

    Standard Edition:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-Flight-Simulator-X-PC/dp/B000F6Y5IW/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1408223233&sr=8-4&keywords=flight+simulator+x+gold

    It is of course cheaper!

  2. Ifly 737, and 737 NGX are two different lol. But I agree both are good, although I prefer PMDG.

Amen to that. The detail on that thing is crazy, and the systems simulation is so close to real world operations. LOL Marius, have you seen the DC-9 Payware Addon? EVERY SINGLE circuit breaker in the cockpit works. There's like 200 of them.

  3. In terms of freeware aircraft there aren't particularly complex ones, though the best freeware that comes to my mind is scenery-based.

I'll list a few below that I'd recommend, with sunskyjet's KPHL really quite unbelievable given that it's free.

  4. Thanks for the link.  ;)

Mine's a fictional portuguese airline called FlyPortugal. Inspired in some designs around the internet with some personal touches. The airline will have some regular flights (operated by A-321s), regional flights (FlyPortugal Express - operated by some CRJ700s) and even some VIP flights (FlyPortugal Premium). Most of these ideas are unrealistic, but I like them how they are.

Here's some pictures (ignore the tail IDs, they weren't supposed to be like that):

I like it! No need for a virtual airline to be realistic anyhow, just fun and fitting to what kind of flying you want to do. I know a cool website which you can run your VA on with schedules, a fleet etc. It's free, all you need to do is signup. www.fslive.eu if you're interested  Do you run any more complex addons per chance?

  5. *bump*

I'm also trying to do my own fictional company in FSX and I've been wondering... how exactly have you done the vertical stabilizer design? It looks sick! :D

I just messed around with the curved pen tool really, it's a very useful tool for making more interesting shapes. You can either paint an area a colour (like black) and then use the curve pen tool to cut some cool shapes out of it, like the white lines in the paint above, or just use the pen tool to make some shapes which you put onto a blank white background.

    Use this:

    https://kuler.adobe.com/create/color-wheel/?base=2&rule=Complementary&selected=2&name=My%20Kuler%20Theme&mode=rgb&rgbvalues=0.7,0.2217210780420373,0,1,0.3850699574826194,0.09999999999999998,1,0.3167443972029105,0,0,0.7,0.62840748299202,0.06577113848373262,1,0.9044517204893584&swatchOrder=0,1,2,3,4

It's an awesome tool that means you can get a set of colours that works well together for logos, liveries etc. You'd be free to PM with any of your designs/ideas as I'd be very interested to see. Where's your airline from anyhow? :) Wouldn't hesitate to lend a hand.

  6. Just to re-iterate what JrFF34 said, he didn't mean the New Jersey State Police don't have that triangle logo on the door. What he meant was the one they use on the cars is actually very slightly different; the ones you have on them is the one they actually wear on their arms and uniforms. It's just a change of font and word size really, quite pedantic stuff you don't necessarily have to change, but just confirming what he meant.

If you look here, it's simpler on the cars than on the officers/banners etc:

  7. You will get more chance of people helping if you show of your skills first :) also if this is your first time modding maybe try using the la mod as a base?At least till you get a team

JrFF34 helped us hugely with our map for Stillwater. If you want to see his skills you can go to the Stillwater Thread and check out the army base he created. He also created the texture for the Mammoth Lake Sheriff CVPI.

    http://forum.emergency-planet.com/topic/17912-stillwater-modification-fictional-in-progress/?p=263784

Good luck mate, looking forward to seeing updates  ;)

  8. Exactly. Can people please stop posting about that because it just continually causes a mass frenzy and confuses people, especially newer people to the forum, as to release.

To be honest, progress my end has slowed done a lot because I have a lot of work to be doing for important exams in June. At the moment, most of the work that is taking place is lights-based. I can't really promise too many updates in the near future I'm afraid, though maybe a few things from time to time.

Regarding stationary tanks etc, scripting is not really the strong point of anyone on our team, so it likely won't happen. In future releases, however, if we have adequate knowledge of making changes like that it might take place. Our prime concern at the moment is really finishing up units so they're perfect and non-buggy in-game.

all i can say is cant wait for it looks awesome

    Thank you for your support!

  9. I see what you did there Gunswat.

Is this mod going to focus more on micromanagement? For example sending 2 or 3 pieces of apparatus to a dwelling fire and having your firefighters vent, search and extinguish rather then send every apparatus you have and use the rapid deployment command and shoot deck guns at the fire until it is out. I feel like that would make the mod more unique and interesting.

There should be fewer units available to deal with incidents, especially with regards to fire, though I usually like to have many units available for the player to call in so that they can control the situation in which ever way they view best. For example, if you want to play realistically, only order in a few trucks and see how you go. However, if you like to play with your own play-style, enjoy having tons of police cars from different counties on scene etc, you have the choice to do so.

In terms of actual gameplay-scripting changes, there won't be any; only existing scripts, such as limited water supply and the like.

The smaller size of incidents should give it a rural feel, especially with the map; larger on-map incidents may require you to work tricky situations with a limited pool of resources (if you chose), so that should hopefully make the experience more unique.

  10. That, I do not have the files in Laguna ... V 1.3 including ... He will be a future 1.4? Use Google translator because I know about 60% of English ... I love the models in this mod.  :D

Yes. I believe that it's for a future version, so we'll just have to wait and see

Seeing as he's from Brasil, I'd say we blame Google Translate.

    Three cheers for Google translate.

  11. I'm not sure but I think he means that the Laguna (post #602) isn't in the mod.

That's what I thought originally too, and then responded, saying that I thought it was because it was for an update. Then I re-read his post and wasn't sure; "none of them is in the vehicle" confusing me.

  12.

 Hello guys, I wonder how police use the Renault Laguna. I downloaded 3 files MOD Latvia and none of them is in the vehicle. Very beautiful car, congratulations to the team! Thank you for your attention.  :D

Do you mean police officers don't appear in the vehicle?

  13. This sounds very cool! I've been flying a lot myself but have only medium experience with ultra realistic addons. What specific addons do you guys use?

I fly with stick & throttle, mostly because those jokes are ridiculously expensive. Saitek x52 Pro. Highly recommended!

    Cheers!

    Xandarb

PMDG 737-800 and Flight1 ATR are the main fleet at the moment. Hoping to sell off the ATR and maybe buy some Airbus A318/A319/A320, so BlackBox Simulation Airbus Xtreme and Aerosoft Airbus X.

  14. Sounds great! I am so happy to see that work is still progressing and that so much more has been accomplished. Is the EMS station going to be part of the hospital? I know in lots of rural areas the ALS ambulance units are operated by the hospitals while in other areas they are operated from a separate station. (like AMR I believe) I was a little confused seeing as one of the ambulances I saw had "Stillwater Fire Rescue" on it I believe so in that case I would think it would be at the fire station. Once again great work!

I believe you've confused it with this one: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/topic/17912-stillwater-modification-fictional-in-progress/?p=263667

This is part of the Mammoth Lake Fire Department, i.e. mutual aid.

The Stillwater EMS station is separate to the hospital; it is part of the Stillwater Rescue Service that provides all EMS help within the Town of Stillwater.

  15.

    d1cm.png

The one in the corner of this picture, I just thought it looked pretty big for a small town so I thought it might be the courthouse (generally the largest building in a county.)

At the moment that's just the basic Bank building from the standard game.

Can you show us more of the firestations and police stations> that im pretty excited about!!!!

There's only a single FD station and a single police station; I might be able to get some screenshots soon but they're not particularly interesting I'm afraid!  ;) I think the Police Department is just a normal building with some units parked outside for the moment. We also have an EMS station in the making that Marius is working on.

One question, do a lot of houses out there have gated driveway out there in Wisconsin?

Glad you like the map and the accidents, thanks for the support. Those are only 4 individual houses, so it's more like a recent rich development. Also, note that Stillwater is a focus for tourists, though not to an extreme degree, and hence does have some wealth.

What models are you guys using for the FD apartatus?

Soon I might be able to bring about a few more screenshots of the Fire Department; pictures of the current equipment you can see scattered throughout the topic. In terms of equipment on the trucks, pretty standard set-up; hoses on Engines, jump pads and jaws of life on Rescue etc.

Alright so on the back of this it says Municipal Wisconsin and it's the same thing for the cops and EMS. Also how will the stations be set up? How many FD rigs will be in each?

Thanks a tonne CFD, I'll work from this. There is only one fire station it's a small town, we have about 5-6 units in it I believe, though that is subject to change. There is an EMS station with 3 or 4 units I believe (Marius's creation), and the rest are off-map mutual aid or national agencies.

Will this mod work on lower end computers. Like with intel graphics?

Should do, it's got an LA mod base. Quite a few people seem to confuse us a bit with the Manhattan Mod team; although Raf and Marius obviously work on it this is an entirely separate project and only draws from the mod when necessary, for the occasional unit for example. I don't actually work on the Manhattan Mod project, so you shouldn't encounter the same crashes etc. We're using less ported content, though I can't guarantee anything for post-release obviously. Our vehicles aren't ludicrously high poly; NNICO models are very well-made!

    love your modï¼

Thanks for your support lapdlafd!

I got the impression that the only town on map would be Stillwater so probably one Stillwater FD station with all the rigs, all fire units would come from off map. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Correct. One fire station and one EMS station. To be honest, we're not going over-board on Firehouse design or anything like that. For an initial release, at least, we just want stable content, a range of units, good and diverse incidents to respond to, a well-designed map, working scripts and, most importantly, a fun experience!

  16. Oh my that looks stellar! Is that supposed to be a military depot and what is the big building you can sorta see in the background, courthouse? It all looks so wonderful! Wow

So I can tell that this mod has expanded a lot from the original plan, would it be possible for you to give us a idea of the setup, like what agencies will be included, what stations their will be on map, what units? Or would you all prefer to reveal them as you get the done?

Yes, it's a small military base that JrFF34 created using the objects from Hoppah's LA mod; he thought it be a nice, realistic touch!

In terms of the expansion from the original plan, most of that expansion has actually already taken place, so don't be worried that this is going to be an endless 'in development', as we're trying to get it out as soon as possible. Obviously it started as a very small re-skin project, though now we've more-or-less completed the Stillwater Sheriff Department, Stillwater EMS, Wisconsin State Patrol, National Park Service, Mammoth Lake EMS and Mammoth Lake Sheriff Department. All there really is to go is finishing one or two units on each FD (Mammoth Lake and Stillwater), and one or two private ambulances. Granted, we do have to start skinning the personnel, but that's a smaller job, as well as lighting etc.

We just thought it would be a good idea to fix the map a little as it was a tad bland, lacking a hospital (pics to come); brightened up the road textures a bit, added a few buildings here and there, improved the number of objects around each house to give an individual feel, and added small things like parks, flag poles etc.

In terms of a list (this is off the top of my head):

    Police:

    -Stillwater Sheriff Department

    -Mammoth Lake Sheriff Department

    -Wisconsin State Patrol

    -National Park Service

    EMS:

    -Stillwater Rescue Service

    -Mammoth Lake Ambulance Service

    -Superior (Private)

    -Gunderson Tri-State (Private)

    Fire:

-US Forestry Service (LA Mod Models already included)

    -Stillwater Fire Department

    -Mammoth Lake Fire Department

Also [WIP and Subject to Change] is more of a reassurance for the team, so that we can get rid of things if needs be; though in most cases nothing is going to change much, apart from obvious texture bug fixes etc.

    Hope it makes sense/helps.

    Rlast.

    P.S What courthouse?

  17.

You need some other games for G-mod to work, mainly Counter Strike: Source, it takes a ton of models and junk from that game

    You see ...... I would ........ Except ........ My computer ........ Doesn't have ........... an .......... updated ...........video card ..............  :scared:

Oh  :ohm Maybe next time then!

  18. I'm literally a door step aeay from Wisconsin XD do you just need pics of the plates?

Yes, pics would be very useful, thanks!

This is the same type of plate as is on ALL NPS law enforcement vehicles. Since the LE vehicles are issued by the GSA they have GSA plates on them..

Thanks I'll put them on ASAP.

    Wow, great job.

    Thanks for the support :)

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------UPDATE--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have some map updates to show you today; check the new black road design. As always, WIP (with bugs) and subject to change. Hope you enjoy and would be glad to hear your comments. (Edits made by JrFF34, Marius and myself)

  19. GREAT!! Those looks wonderful! I would recomend however changing the license plates, the Superior Ambulance has a European type plate on it and the NPS unit has a state plate instead of federal. I'm not sure how it is in Wisconsin but in some states FDs and other Emergency Services agencies have different plates so that might be something to look into.

The Superior Ambulance plate is going to be changed, no worries, as are all of them; I put the yellow state ones there as an early version   I was actually wondering about the license plates; is anyone here from Wisconsin/surrounding area confident in linking which federal plates go onto the vehicles? As no-one from our team is from that region I could use some help from the community and forum!

Thanks as always though Fred for your support! Stay tuned as we should have some more stuff to show soon!

    Nice update

    Epic

    Thanks for the support!
