  1. hi everyone I bought and downloaded emergency 2014 from games rocket but it doesn't come with a mod installer or anything also the folder on local disc c is called program files(x86) quadriga games emergency 14 so I was wondering how it is possible to install mods any help is most appreciated best regards david

    Emergency 2013 and 2014 doesnt support mods.

  2. Anyone else have the issue of previously uninstalled mods showing up in the main menu? These files are no longer selectable because the mods have long been removed but they hold a marker in the menu. Is there anyway to remove this. I hate scrolling through to find mods still installed. I've got into the files and see no trace of the old mods on my PC.

    I feel the same but it doesn't bother me. Last time I tried doing that, i lost all my Nevada Mod work since i was basing the entire thing on LA Mod, so it had the same name in the mod installer. Ugh.

    I believe this might be caused be lacking permissions in the game folder. Right click the Wizard Works / Sixteen Tons Entertainment folder -> Properties -> Permissions then edit them. Make sure the user you use has all the permissions it can get I think its called "Full Control" in Windows English.

    Random pic from google showing Permissions. Make sure to select "Allow" on everything.

  3. To my knowledge, the key commands are hard coded and cannot be changed. Especially in the way of movement of camera

    Actually (never thought I'd say this to an admin) but you're wrong.

    Simply go into your main game "Data" folder -> specs, then copy the file called "Keys.xml", and insert it into your mods folder -> specs.

    Then open the "Keys.xml" in wordpad and locate the following lines

          <binding key="Keyboard0.Right" action="Right" />
          <binding key="Keyboard0.Left" action="Left" />
          <binding key="Keyboard0.Up" action="Up" />
          <binding key="Keyboard0.Down" action="Down" />

    Then change to whatever you desire. WASD would be look like this

          <binding key="Keyboard0.D" action="Right" />
          <binding key="Keyboard0.A" action="Left" />
          <binding key="Keyboard0.W" action="Up" />
          <binding key="Keyboard0.S" action="Down" />
  4. Same Problem, same symptoms, same OS, everything. I cannot edit the .cfg file because It will not let me save it.

    When I try to overwrite the existing .cfg file, it gives me a pop-up that says, "Access is denied."

    I really don't wanna have to re-install the game. I have finally gotten my PC to recognize the wonderful LA mod, and it was a pain to fix.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,

    Save it to your desktop then drag it back into the folder.

  5. Its really hard to arrange a game on here, either get skype or some other type or comunication tool to make it easier. Joining a clan would be the best way tho (I think). Its just a matter of finding a clan that fits your needs.

  6. This sounds very cool! I've been flying a lot myself but have only medium experience with ultra realistic addons. What specific addons do you guys use?

    I fly with stick & throttle, mostly because those jokes are ridiculously expensive. Saitek x52 Pro. Highly recommended!

    Cheers!

    Update on the fleet: 1 737-600 (we use NGX), 1 Dash 8 q400 (Majestic) and 1 777 (PMDG/Wilco). Our base of operation is moved to Oslo Airport. If you want to join us we're on the MERU teamspeak. 64.154.38.226:9494

  7. Okay, assuming you want a basic mod, no complicated scripts, or fancy new maps or anything, just basics, let's do a time breakdown.

    A great modeller can do roll out roughly 1 model a day, UV and everything, if that's their focus. Assuming they spend 8 hours working. That's from one poly to in game.

    Assuming your basic mod has what, fifth models (which is a conservative estimate) that's 400 hours.

    Include another 16 for map design and setup. Another 16 for scripts making stations work and whatnot, you're looking at roughly another 32 hours. Now finishing the mod, that's lighting, making it all run right, etc, can take say another 24 hours.

    For those keeping score, it's now at 456. Heh, I didn't even try that. Assuming you don't pay for the downloading and compiling of scripts that is necessary to make a mod now, I mean the free to use scripts we all are used to that's a lot of dough.

    Here minimum wage is $10 an hour, usually for unskilled labour. However this is a generally skilled job, and given the nature of skills required, for one person to do this, you're looking at closer to $20 or more an hour. So cheaply done, it's be $9120, and given the modder quit their job, or took a hiatus to do this, they could work 6 days a week, at 8 hours a day. You'd be looking at close to 10 weeks before you'd have a playable mod.

    So here's my offer, for $14,000 I'll start the bidding of the job at hand. I value my skills at above average, and you always bid higher than what you're willing to bottom at, because you need to ensure you get the job at an affordable rate for you. Also, just to be clear, that $14,000 is quoted for 2.5 month completion date, 50 models, basic map, and no new scripts written. Finishing included. Any adjustments will be extra.

    Now, if my point wasn't clear enough, go learn some basic skills yourself, ask for help on how to do things, and try your own hand. It'll save you a few thousand dollars and you can have your own mod then. But you can't afford to buy your own mod.

    Admin delivered enough said.
