  1. HDDS dont care about defrags? Unless your running SSDs, thats not ture. defrag hurts SSD but is best run about once a week or so on your main hard drive, and any hard drive for that matter.

That is 100% false. With the newer harddrives and OS's, there is no need to run a defrag once a week on a system. As a matter of fact, I restrict the use of the built-in defrag program on all of the networks I manage. I run a defrag maybe once a year on my systems or before I image a machine for deployement for a lab or something.

As for running multiple security suites, i never said run them at the same time, but even then if you know what your doing you can easily run 2 at once. I meant Nod42 as a primary scanner and Malwarebytes as a back up.

Avast is good...for a free anti virus, its nothing compared to Nod32,Kaspersky,or even Comodo Anti Virus. Comodo Security Suite is free, and actually the best security software available right now, or atleast a top 3 as things change but Comodo is consistently a top 3 among both paid and freeware anti virus solutions. Nod32 has only given me trouble with one software, DVD Rebuilder Pro/Cinema Craft Encoder SP2 which its doubtful anyone here runs, or very very few at the least.

Avast is almost always on a top AV software list, along with the rest you mentioned. Same with AVG free. The point is to run one that does its job, and any of the ones mentioned above will do that.

  2. I really like the idea of a K-9 Unit...but most k-9 units that i have seen are all SUV's not the crown vic. correct me if im wrong but i dont think that the crown vic is most sutible for the K-9

I'd say that 75% of the PD's around the LA area use Crown Victoria's for their K9 units. There is a flat panel back there instead of a plastic bench seat. Plenty of room once you take that out.

  3. The installer worked just fine on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit for me and game works fine.

Try disabling the UAC, click on Start, type in "msconfig" into the search box, click on Tools tab, look for "Change UAC Settings" and disable it. Reboot and then try installing it again. If it doesn't work, turn the UAC back on to protect yourself.

  4. This happens to me all the time. Not sure what to make of it. You can't shoot them and haul them off either. So if you dispatched 5 Engines and they all get stuck there, you no longer have any engines to dispatch. Totally screwed me with that the fire at the building just South of the hospital.

  5. I'm from New Jersey, and only I'm only basing what I said off of New Jersey cities,, and I know some of San Diego's policy since in a few years I will be getting a police or paramedic job there. Anyway, I don't know much about L.A., so anybody who is more familiar please correct any places where I may be wrong.

Good luck man, getting into fire departments around Southern California is really hard, as is the PD's.

  7. Considering how the car isn't even in production yet, just pre-production for first delivery in 2011 might want to check those facts.

Sorry for my confusion, I was thinking about the Impala that they were testing. I will edit my original post.
