All the ones I've posted have been shot by me. I tend to shoot around 1k a week, more now that it's summer. Unfortunatly, I'm only able to process about 70-120 a day at most so I tend to get farther and farther behind. next up will be shots from the American Heroes Airshow which I hope to have the first few done by tonight. One thing worth noting is that LAFD has it's own SAR dog Ranger, who is the grandson of the world reknowned SAR dog, Bella. His handler is LAFD member Deresa Teller, who has been involved in SAR dog incidents throughout the US including the WTC and Oklahoma Bombing incidents as well as being an invaluable asset within the City of Los Angeles. I'd have to check with a friend of mine who is big in the K9 SAR dog community, but I beleive Teller and Ranger respond in a vehicle similar to the BC's. Mike

You're welcome, though I don't understand your fascination with them. As far as I've ever seen and from what the BSS unit has said to me, they're basically just a canteen unit on an incident and just hand out coffee, bottled water, and ice packs.

St John Ambulance, please verify that you have taken all of the pictures that you have posted. A brief search of the web has shown them to be from flickr and other sites and attributed to a few different names.

It was City of Gridley Fire Depart Brush Engine 76 How about this one then? Should be easy actually since this dept is photographed a lot more. I'll be surprised if it goes more then 12 hrs without being guessed.

FD81, you seem to have trouble understanding rules. This is the second time you've done that, and consider this your last warning. Read the first post, learn the rules and follow them. LOL i'm going to give mcert another chance at least and then i'll start throwing out hints.

LACoFD uses KME's (Keeps Mechanics Employed). LAFD has purchased new Pierce Arrow XTs (Which keep getting pulled out of service due to electrical issues) and Seagrave Marauders in the last budget split right down the middle between the two since neither company could fulfill the large order by themselves.

See, now this is what the game is all about not just random guessing but good investigative tactics! Some hints though, notice the numbers are 2 digits, not 4 (big deal in many states and counties), and the patch is on the door.

I'm looking at their website right now, and it doesn't look anything at all like an alameda fire rig. Just curious what you're basing that guess on or are you going to go alphabetical?

The answer is yes. Remember these guys are not JUST paramedics. They are Firefighters first and foremost, with the extra level of medical training. They carry a full complement of Turnout gear and SCBA's on the ambulance, and depending on what they're doing, what they've been doing, and where they're going they'll wear a miss-mash of Turnouts, Work Uniform, T-shirt, and Brush Gear. Most guys will wear at least the brush jacket for visibility and to keep the uniform shirt clean. This was on a jumper call where the patient had already jumped and expired. Notice the FF's and medics wearing brush jackets, Work uniform pants and Helmets. LAFD medic in T-shirt and Turnout pants pulled into kaiser with a patient complaining of chest pains at a nursing home. TC in 102's area showing medics and FF's in T-shirts, helmets, no helmets, brush gear, turnout gear, Work Uniform and so on... Even us County guys tend to mix and match T-shirt, Work Shirt, brush and turnout gear on medical aids. City guys always tend to wear their helmets more though then County, even when just walking through a building on a medical aid. Why? I don't know. But since there is no button to take helmet off, put hat on, and since most calls are on the street instead of inside, it's very common to see them wearing a brush jacket and helmet, along with EVERY other combination you can imagine.

Color scheme gave it away after ID'ing the type of plane. Also the shape of the cockpit and nose cinched it as a falcon. Oh look... no license plate.

UPDATED 09/03/2008: July 4th Malibu Fire This is a big one! 454 pics of the Explosion and Fire in the Blue Dude trailer park with LACoFD FS 125, FS67, FS68 and others. Some great close ups of roof ops, direct attack, and what really goes on when everything goes wrong. I know it's a lot of pages and a lot of photos, but it truly chronicles the incident from the moment we rolled up in the Quint until the hoses were rolled up and packed up. It's really worth checking out each page and seeing the events unfold before your eyes.
