  1. You know what, I was actually gonna do this, but never got around to it lol.  Good job!

     

    Yeah, I did these a while ago and then I moved on to different games (Arma). Recently I decided to mess around with em4 a little bit again and saw all of the stuff that I had been working on, like these skins.

     

    Looks great hooe you consider releasing them as an add on or even replacements to current units in the mod.

     

    I will probably package them, and the dependencies that I have with them (lightbars, led perimeter lights and such) and upload them as a drop in mod for everyone to play around with, maybe this weekend.

  2. Ok, so this is getting a proper remake, with full alterations to make this less of a big city feel and more of a suburban mod. That being said, the next release will probably be a month or more down the road, but will contain many changes, including the possible switch to 4x4's 2.0.8/9 base. The scripts will have to be reworked, which will take some time. There will be less units, which will include:

  3. I don't know whats up with the sirens, I have that problem too, as for the BC not being able to call units I just have to tweak the script. I have put all of the skins into 4x4's 2.0.9 mod but I haven't asked for permission to release, and I am still working out a few kinks. the 2.0.9 platform is a lot more stable and most of the problems I have heard here are fixed with it. If anyone is interested in helping PM me or Email me and I will gladly send you the 2.0.9 files to work on.

  4. This is available for download; and yes, squads are different everywhere, some places they are heavy rescues, and in places like New York City they are glorified engines, other places they are vans.

    Work Update:

    I went in to the new version I am working on and further prevented this squad problem; I also added some units like new style ambulances and a command center vehicle for the fire department, I am reworking the engine skins to be more realistic with their striping, and also reworking almost all other units to be more photo realistic. The next version will employ LA 2.0.2 and various parts of other mods that I hope I can get permission to use. I also plan on editing what units are in each station like moving the ladder truck, removing the heavy rescue and ARFF truck, etc etc.

  5. :cheers-mate: Wow the grand old squad argument ended up in my mod! By squad I mean LEV and HES, they both are designated squad most of Washington, and Rescues are what most places call squads. :holdglass: I hope to add different commands, but right now a lot of stuff I change causes crashes in the game, so it's going pretty slow, and no .95 is not released yet. Thank you all for all the support and interest.

  7. For Station 2 when the Faoam Unit is out on a run and I place it in service it tells me that it doesnt belongand takes off for headquarters any way to fix this and also anyway of having the tiller spawn in station 1?

    I haven't encountered that problem, but I'll look into it. Look up a unit replacement guide to put the tiller back in, I left it out because there are no tillers that would even run mutual aide to this area.

  8. from what i have seen (nice looking mod by the way) the pd spawning problem is that the spawn point for the police is not set. after changing that they spawn correctly.

    side note: the sheriff cars right side "sheriff" is not right, it needs to be flipped.

    nice mod, and i like the little touches like the fire fighters uniforms and such.

    Thanks, I can fix the skin thing pretty quick, my roommate pointed that out when I was making them, but I blew it off for the early version. I will change that spawn point issue, and I hope to add a unit of my own.

  9. Another thing... The PD crew comes out of Firehouse 1 when the game begins. Is that your idea or a bug? Do you include a "ropes, ropes, ropes away" command for the EPPD chopper? (it will be really usefull to the sniper guy on kidnapping situacion or for the robbery.

    I did notice the PD problem, I'll have to figure that out, and I am not sure about the PD Chopper, I want to say I does include that command, but if it doesn't then I can definitely add it, I might just change the PD to a black hawk. Thank you for the feed back, it's definitely appreciated.

  10. Good job... Amazing thing... But... I have to report a bug, that maybe its me or i dont know... The CV´s doesnt have the "chase" command... Another thing... Does it works with Wood´s maps?

    Which CV? And I'm sure it would work with Wood's maps. In mine all CV's can chase... I'll look into that. Thanks for the heads up.

  11. Basically UV Mapping, and file conversion, so that I can have my own unit in the mod and thus not have to worry about who else's stuff there is, they just haven't approved it yet as I can still go look at it.

    I have about 10 units that I could use, I just don't know how to map textures.

    or a mapped model donation that is not Hoppahs, so I can reskin it.

  12. Any possible release date yet? sorry to ask.

    Don't worry about asking here, I personally don't mind; it actually keeps me up on the forum as I get an email :-P

    I would expect it within a week, which is different than I said before...but... school has been keeping me busy, I'm carrying 20 credits so this is a "free-time" thing, and there is no "mod team" either, so everything i do is solo, and solo=slow. But anyways, I will try my best to get this out over thanksgiving. Note that it does incorporate and older version of additional units submod so I'll have to figure out who made that, and get their permission for release (hopefully this is the easy part). Feel free to post any questions/comments or to PM me, as it will keep me informed of demand, so far I think 3 or 4 people have asked.

  13. Haha thanks! It's almost there, I've been playing with scripts and unit parameters, the reskin is the easy part :cheers-mate:

    If anyone knows how to edit unit names that show up in game and could tell me, that would be much appreciated.

    Also, expect a release (BETA) with in a week or two. :bia:

Played this today, there is no freeplay, just missions, so far it is only released in german, which makes figuring out what the game wants kinda difficult if you don't know german(it is very precise as mentioned earlier), it is third person with 11 missions, and after looking at the file system it seems mod-able. Reskins would be extremely easy (and needed). I had no luck locating the files that contain the mission info, so i don't know about self translation.

    Overall:

    5/5 Genre (duh?)

    3/5 Graphics (could use some work)

    2/5 Glitches/Gameplay (lots of bugs, player tends to get stuck etc.)

    4.5/5 Realism (precise in steps taken to solve emergencies)

    4/5 Mod-able (easy to locate, unlocked files, readily available software)

    3.75/5 Total; good game, but seems like they released it a little too early, that or the "new guys" made it.
