    • Emergency vehicles + miscellaneous airport vehicles such as Air-Ops and tec vans maybe some aircraft servicing vehicles (alot of these (not all) will serve no purpose and will be for role play only)

Hi, i decided i was going to make a mod from my local area, it is a sub mod of the Kent Mod. It is going to feature units from Suffolk and Norfolk fire and rescue service, Suffolk and Norfolk police, East of England Ambulance Service and more.

 

VERSION 1

Version 1 is using a variant of the Mission 5 map from the LA mod. On the map will be a small firestation with two appliances from Diss, a Station Managers car and there will also be a GP at a Doctors Surgery.

Version 2 is based at a fictional version of Norwich International Airport and features units from Norfolk fire and rescue service, Norfolk and Suffolk police, East of England ambulance service, East Anglian air ambulance and fictional units from Norwich International Air Port.

All looks great! Lovely to have another UK mod!

lol the amount of Kent mod submods is getting silly! That only shows how good the Kent mod is!

Couple of questions:

Are you continuing with the Kent Mod ASWELL, or will you release a final version of the Kent mod and then move on to this?

I assume it's a rural map?

If I do get further with modelling I may help with this to?

Is it private?

I am still continuing the Kent mod I just have been tempted to make this for a while so I have started it, I will be making both.

The way the dispatch works in this mod is that on the map you have two fire engines (1 rescue pump and 1 pump from Diss) and 1 GP+GP Land Rover. You can call the police, ambulance and tec how you normally would. For fire, if you need additional fire units you need to dispatch the battalion chief or use the station manager at the fire station to call additional appliances from off the map.

 

Engine 1 and 2 dispatch fire engines from Carrow or Thetford

USAR Dispatches pump from Harleston 

Lightforce dispatches a rescue pump from Earlem and the ALP from Earlem (although it is based on Kings Lynn's ALP not Earlems.

Sounds like a really nice rural setting for the mod!

Good to hear the Kent mod is still going.

The Ford looks great.

Yea you don't see many of them and it's quite old.  I put the wrong light bar on it, they have another one of these that is a underwater diving unit and that has the lighting set up that my one currently has. Unfortunately I can't find a lightbar like the one it uses so I will have to improvise.

Oh okay, by underwater diving unit, is that like for divers to carry out rescue operations underwater?

Yes, Because of the Norfolk broads, Norfolk fire and rescue service operate a diving unit to help with rescues underwater. They also are search divers and can recover items and bodys, They carry out all diving work required by not only Norfolk fire service but Suffolk fire service, Norfolk police and Suffolk police. Recently they upgraded this unit to a large Iveco truck. I have given the diving vehicle the old lights (three rotators) allthough it was updated to what the command unit has.

That's a very nice model of the s&r van. I think the name of the unit is kind of awkward.  Underwater search and rescue diving unit? Isn't diving always underwater? It should have been named either search and rescue diving unit or underwater search and rescue unit in my opinion. I know that you took the name from the real van and you did not come up with it, I saw the picture you posted. What do you think about that?
