Atari is ridiculous.

Recommended Posts

I bought 911 First Responders in late July of 2012. Total for the game and the ''Extended Download Service'' was like $23.00 or maybe a bit more. I have downloaded the game once on my laptop. Then I got a new PC and decide to install it. Went to my download link in my email and it did not work. This would be my 3rd time downloading it.

So I email Atari Support and they give me a broken link and some download instructions which were pointless. So I send them another email and get the same response. Third time emailing them they told me it has been two years and my download has expired. Keep in mind the extened download service says two years. It has not been two years since I bought the game. So I send them a fourth email saying that it has not been two years. They respond saying my download is still active till August 2014 and if I am having trouble to buy it again! LOL BUY IT AGAIN? What a joke!

The download still does not work though as I receive a error each time I try. I sent them another email and get some BS response. So don't buy it from them as they will screw you over.  Anyone elses download expire or have any issue like this?

I got it from them a long time ago, and like you I'm pretty sure I got that extend download or whatever its called. Anyways if yours was the same as mine you got this application called "911FirstResponders_DownloadManager". I basically copied that onto a thumb drive a pasted it on each of my new computers, and has worked like a charm each time. Hope this helps.

www.consumer.ago.mo.gov

I contacted this website recently because Amazon screwed me over when I bought GTA San Andreas for the PC. They contacted my state attorney generals office and after a couple weeks, Amazon refunded my purchase.

I did what Miercolini said, I got my copy from a game shop years ago and I made a back up CD just incase something happened. It came in handy when I got my new laptop. If you do get it again, make a backup of the install files to a USB stick or CD, it save the aggro of having to mess around with Atari again.

im gonna end up pirating it now. Not paying for it again. Its just stupid. Steam is the best for downloadable games because you can download it as many times as you want. But of course 911 FR is not on Steam.

Not everything needs to revolve around steam, I have it but I don't see the point in it tbh, I only got it so I could play the ET2 Multiplayer mod.

And like Randomperson said, its not best to say it because you will get told that you won't get support... But seeing as you have brought the game 2-3 times already it shouldn't matter too much lol
