  1. Hmmm, I tried using the Sherlock software and couldn't find anything that needed removing, plus I also lowered the screen res in game to 800x600 and 16 bit and no change...
  2. DxDiag_64_bit.txt DxDiag_32bit.txt Here you go! I ran both the 32 bit and 64 bit for the Dxdiag, just in case! Thanks
  3. Hi folks, I just bought a brand new laptop and I installed 911 First Responders as well as the most recent version of the LA Mod. However, when I load up the game and mod and play freeplay mode, I start with about 10 to 11 FPS and depending what I select or where I move the screen it will make the frame rate dip below this making gameplay unbearable. I am not quite sure why I am getting such low frame rates with my current specs. I also have my screen res in game set to 1024x760 with 32 bit and all graphics settings set to low and shades off. Any help would be appreciated! Current specs: HP Pavilion dv4-1225dx 14.1" Screen Windows Vista SP1 64-bit AMD Turion X2 Dual core Mobile RM-72 2.10 GHz 4.00 GB RAM 250 GB HDD ATI Radeon HD 3200
  4. Let me say this, all fire apparatus are made different, it all depends on how they are spec'd out by the purchasing organization. My company's engines have intakes for large diameter hose in both the front and back, in addition to the ones on the sides at the pump panel. The intakes in the front and back of the truck are not normally used due to the extra piping it has to go through, which means the intake at the pump panel is the preferred hook up for the large diameter supply line. We also a 2 1/2" preconnect attack line off the rear of the truck, as well as a 3" supply line for various tasks. As far as preconnect attack lines above the pump panel, we have two 1 3/4" lines, one running off each side of the truck, as well as a 2" attack line. Now, if you look at pictures of New York's apparatus, I believe they just have 2 1/2" supply lines and do not use LDH whatsoever, so it really depends how the departments spec out their equipment.
  5. Ranger, that first picture is not of fire police but it is a heavy rescue unit used to carry extrication and other rescue tools. And I kinda agree with Hoopah, because of continuity reasons. There are no fire police that I know of in LA City. That is the job for police, CHP or whatever. Fire Police would fit better in a rural, or suburban area like where I live where there are volunteers. And thank you for your hardwork Hoopah, your mod is looking great!
  6. Yeah but police cant use fire equipment in E4 or any other E game for that matter. So even if they had them, the cops couldn't use them.
  7. OMG Hoopah! That brush truck rocks! I also like the coroner's van and the equipment truck! Man I really need to get this game!
  8. Awesome! :1046275747_biggthumpup: I can't wait for a. my copy of E4, b. version 1.1 of Hoopah's LA mod!
  9. Nope, some airports have their own police depts, while others just have security guards. These are in addition to the TSA officers, I believe. Hoopah, I have an idea/suggestion for you. Have you thought about using any of the LA County Fire apparatus? A piece I would really like to see would be a modern version of Squad 51 from Emergency! LA County appears to still use these as rescue and paramedic units. I think you can find some pics on the Code Two (or High or whatever it is) website. You could use these Rescue Squads in place of the supervisor units or just as another vehicle to transport paramedics to the scene. Also you might be able to include some LA County Fire units as mutual aid and to add a little variety of depts to the Fire side. Let me know what you think! From looking at the screenies, I can't wait until I can obtain Emergency 4 and play this mod. The fire apparatus look sweet and I can't wait to put out some fire with them! :1046275747_biggthumpup: EDIT: Pics: The original Squad 51. Here is a modern LA County Rescue Squad. Here is a pic of a Patrol unit which I believe is basically a brush/forest fire unit. Here is another modern squad (Mike, I think you'll like this one!). And of course an example of an engine for LA County. Like I said, this is just a suggestion!
  10. Any updates for us Mike? Or are you still recovering from your laptop repairs?
  11. Technically, it's Deputy Sheriff. Most people just call them deputies for short. And the Sheriff is the equivilant of the police chief for that department.
  12. The yellow lights, yes. The siren, no.
  13. No I was just in the bathroom at work and came up with these ideas, and when I got back to my PC, I posted them.
  14. Kind of a bump... Mike, while I was in the bathroom at work, I had an idea! You should include the elite of Frederick County's firefighters! The POV'ers! In addition to this you could have fire police also! Some of you might not recognize these terms, but I'll explain them later if needed. I'm gonna try this out on E3 and I'll let you all know how it goes!
  15. Those are looking good Mike! Yeah, I think I requested that ambulance be made for NFS4 awhile back and thanks to NFSPDF for making it. Thats my baby! ^^ Can't wait to see the New York mod and the translation, bro!
  16. There is a little control panel outside just outside of the fire station. Right click on that and select the only option available!
