  1. The Scouts are NOT built in ranks, and here it operates differently to you Yank scouts

if you want to talk privatley please contact me on Windows Live Messenger Via rafsquadron57cptattewell@Hotmail.co.uk

I'm not talking about your stupid Brit scouts, I'm talking about the scouts of America. I'm comparing your ACF to one of my country's organizations

  2. The ACF is nothing like the Scouts, Scouts dont go to the desert hundreds of miles away and go on patrol with SA80's and get to Shoot them

And neither you do. All the ACF teaches you is how to safely handle, clean and shoot them. This is just like what JROTC and the scouts do

  3. IM NO PUNK, i case you did not know, im in the ACF, which is part of the British Army, and i do have an idea of what youre going on about. :1046276160_schildbacktotopic:

You're 14. I don't have much idea of what goes on in your country, but I'm almost positive that you're just in something similar to JROTC or Boy Scouts or something.

    EDIT:

Although sponsored by the Ministry of Defence and being very similar in structure and activity, the ACF is not a branch of the British Armed Forces,

I'm gonna say this topic should be closed. All its doing is causing trouble. We've already established that a maw deuce will not be mounted on the HMMWV's in the game. End of discussion

  4. It says that they were launched by Javelin AT Missile, they playup sometimes, they are heatseeking and f you dont hold the "Lock On" for long enough, if you fire it it will automatically change target to the other heat source, RPG-7's are better for not automatically going somewhere else but are not as effective as Javelins

Do you even know what you're talking about? Javelins are a very user friendly weapon.

Electronic arming and fusing, called Electronic Safe Arming and Fire (ESAF), is used. The ESAF system enables the firing and arming process to proceed, while imposing a series of safety checks on the missile. ESAF cues the launch motor after the trigger is pulled. When the missile reaches a key acceleration point (indicating that it has cleared the launch tube), the ESAF initiates a second arming signal to fire the flight motor. After another check on missile conditions (target lock check), ESAF initiates final arming to enable the warheads for detonation upon target impact

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FGM-148_Javelin

In 14 year old language, that means there is a rigorous safety checklist before the warhead actually detonates. That means YOU (not the weapon) have to screw up BIG TIME in order for it not to hit your target.

After engaging one enemy position, the Apache fired upon another position which the crew believed to be held by enemy forces. It would appear that the British forces were mistaken for the enemy and as a result three members of the patrol were seriously wounded and six more were classified as walking wounded

There's one where your Brits fired on themselves. How about that?

In an open front war, fratricide is inevitable. While we try to keep constant communication with one another, there are times where communication breaks down and people get confused. You sit there and say the Brits are better because the US commits fratricides. Well, guess what, your guys do too. As does any other country that has experienced war at one time or another. When fratricide happens, it can be whittled down to one of three things :

    1. Human error

    2. Intel error

    3. Pure accident

So cut the punk routine and get back to topic that you started

  5. [text]

British troops killed two Danish soldiers by "friendly fire" during an operation against the Taliban in Afghanistan, British and Danish defence sources disclosed yesterday. They fired missiles over the heads of the Taliban hitting a small Danish compound more than a mile away

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2007/nov/27/military.world

How about that, not only did they miss the Taliban, but were so off target that they hit a friendly encampment over 1 MILE AWAY

  6. I think erfd started talked about BritishArmyCadets again and it wasn't directed at you.

I know. I just want him to explain what he thinks he's talking about.

Anyway, anyone notice how whenever he triggers a debate of sorts he doesn't come back to respond like the freeplay map thread.

    I honestly wouldn't know. But let's see

    ..

    So what say you, erfd?

  7. Also, if your personnel exit the vehicle, just use the control panel to raise the alarm. All vehicles will be populated

    OR

use the battalion chief to dispatch units.

Either way works. Reading the user manual will show you where the control panel is and how it works

  8. I know I don't know much about, but I don't act like I do either. But still I'm also pissed about the blue on blue.

I guess I'm confused about what you're pissed about. If by blue on blue, you mean fratricide, then yes. It did happen. It was the first fratricide we had in a long time and it has been for a while I think.

You say it like they try it on purpose.

I guess I'm also confused as to what you mean there

  9. Not through schools.... I mean through the law enforcment agencies. I don't care about that though, I want him to prove the blue on blue and being a cadet does not teach you about everything about 9/11.

You (according to your profile) are also 14. Do you know everything about 9/11? Correct me if I'm wrong, but he never said he knew EVERYTHING about 9/11 and the stuff he's put out (about 9/11) is accurate.

@Britisharmycadet- I am still irritated you threw out that the American military shoots its allies. If you're referring to the incident where the USAF pilot fired upon a British convoy, then get your facts straight. The convoy had not been announced to allied troops, so when the pilot radioed in, he was told that there were no friendly forces in the area. If you REALLY want to put blame on someone, put blame on whatever Brit dropped the ball in communicating their operations with everyone else.

Give me another instance when the Americans committed fratricide and I'll reply with an instance when the UK did the same thing

  10. PC:

Sims 2 (I have 3 but I don't like it. EA and Will Wright dropped the ball on that)

    SWAT4

    911FR(obviously)

    XBOX:

    COD- Modern Warfare 2

    Borderlands

    Halflife 2 -EP1/2

    Portal

    The Hitman series

    FAV:

Fallout 3. This is, by far, the most original game I have ever played. The shear openness of the environment is staggering. It has so many little hidden things, I wouldn't be surprised if it had been in development for the past 10 years. I've played for over 250 hours over the past year and a half and I'm STILL finding new things. PM me if you want to talk about it, I could talk forever about it

  11. Would it make it incompatible the rest of the time now? I tried to start new games, with no changes after I saved, then I tried to load that same game file, but still it crashed to the desktop.

I know this sounds tedious, but this is what I did the last time I had a problem:

Make copies of all the files you altered. Uninstall and Re-install the core game. Start a new freeplay, save it, close the program, start everything back up and try loading the game. If all goes well, install LA Mod. Start a new freeplay, save it, close the program, start everything back up and try loading the game. Repeat this process for every alteration you make(besides uninstalling EM4/911FR). This should help you find what submod or alteration is causing the problem.

  12. I'm sure they don't let 12 yr olds be a cadet don't you have to be 14 to be an explore? Also I'm sure they don't tell them to trash allied forces. I'd be emmbaresed and disgraced to say someThing like that. If you are a cadet you are still representing your country. He said earlier that he was a reserve in the british army before somewhere else.( think it was deleted.)

Well, in the US, some high schools have the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps(JROTC). It has the word "reserve" in it and involves the armed forces

EDIT- @ERFD: No offense, you're also American (as am I) and can't say much about what country does or does not have in its schools

  13. Natural disasters are not caused by human hands, but the impact can be big. And I mean really big, because most natural disasters come unexpected. Take Haiti as an example. The eartquake killed more than 200K people. People in desperate need of food, water, shelter or clothes might do the worst things you can imagine. When you haven't eaten for days you might kill someone else easily. If an earthquake wipes New York City off the map, heavily armed military forces are definately necessary to maintain public order or at least control public order in some way. The right to keep and bear deadly weapons in the US would make it even worse. Humans are animals.

Yes, in an extreme situation maybe. They wouldn't mount an M2 though. They would probably mount nothing more than a M249 or M240B. Using a .50 cal. bullet on personnel is against the Geneva Convention

  14. Ok recently we had every bad snow storm here in western pa. So Bad the national guard was called out to assist city of Pittsburgh with it 911 operations.

Here some video of the humveess. You notice NONE of them have any guns mount on them.

    http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/video/22510384/index.html

    no guns on these humveess

    http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/video/22502953/index.html

    http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/video/22505784/index.html

Guess the national guard those not mount guns when operating in the usa. At least not in PA.

Your right, let me add to that.... No mounted weapons during a NATURAL DISASTER in the USA.... or anywhere for that matter. Plus, most of those soft tops can't be outfitted with crew served weapons

Also, that was a medical unit, not a combat unit. They wouldn't mount anything on the HMMWV's anyway

  15. Yet these athletes are allowed to rocket down a slope at freeway speeds with no physical protection and nothing was done to prevent them from slamming into steel girders in excess of freeway speeds in the event of a slight wobble, or imperfection on the course, or defect with the sled/luge.

These athletes are also on their own track and not out in the public world. Not to mention the track is thoroughly inspected. This sport is no different than, let's say, drag racing.

And the words "inexperienced" and "Olympic athlete" should not be used in the same sentence.
