  1. Thanks everyone for their answers, they really helped.

    But say a LAPD officer was on vacation in New York: do they have ANY powers at all? It may help if I refer you to the Civil Nuclear Constabulary here in the UK, who have NO powers at all outside of nuclear power plants and escorts of nuclear material.

     

    If the cop witnesses someone get mugged, do you think he would just walk away? He would chase that MFer down and arrest his ass. Even if it was put down in the report as a "Citizens Arrest", he still arrested him. If the cop was only on a short trip, say from LA -> San Fran., Chances are he has his gun and possibly a pair of cuffs on him. He can use both. Cops are given off duty gun permits for concealed carry.

     

    I remember a story a year or two ago here in NYC where an off-duty cop held a criminal on the ground at gunpoint until on-duty officers arrived. Now, of course, they ordered him to drop his gun and followed procedure, because you never know. In the UK I don't think you exactly have gun carry issues for your cops but it is always a good Idea for any off duty cop to carry a gun. Never know when the shit will hit the fan.

    I know. I was too stupid to fix that and now I massively messed him up SO.. no more man in the next update. It wasn't a huge update, it just affected a wide variety of files.

  3. For some reason all of the Ambulances refuse to transport to the hospital. I click the command, but they never move. There's no error, they don't get stuck, they just stay in one place. I'm assuming this has to be a problem on my end since no one else is reporting it, but do you have any idea what it could be?

    I might be stating the obvious.... but re-install the mod.
  4. My only problem with the axes is when I used a red helmet to try and axe doors--he doesn't have the "axe" command. Other than that, my most major problem is the brush and engine parking, as well as EMS parking. Other than that, it's very nice.

    Yeah the parking.... such a pain. Can't figure why. I have the command on my red helmet. If you right click on the house, you should be able too.
  5. I don't know if it is a glitch or my fault, but when I go to use an axe on a house it says, Door must be opened with an axe. Also I am unable to open the garage gates, I just get the little red circle. 

    Edit: Just noticed this. I am having trouble using the hoses and attaching them to fire trucks from the hydrants . 

     

    yes the little red circle is OK. The house is bugged, I need to fix those things.

     

    Can you be more specific about the hose bugs you have?

  6. 1.4 is pretty nice, and I've only found one bug so far--the master stream on the aerial doesn't work. FF operating the aerial doesn't do anything, and I can't tell him to extinguish.

    1. Which ladder?

    2. It works like a charm for me. Did you have it hooked up to a hydrant/tanker? Because if the water tank ran out, it will not work anymore.

    This is really a nice mod! I enjoy playing it a lot, and have probably spend to much time on it here in the Christmas. Anyway, I have found som minor bugs:

    • When calling VTTU31, the vehicle is deployed at the RBS Main station (at the north of the map) and the firemen at the station at the west
    • When i use the "quick-pack-together" button, the horse is sometimes getting invisible
    • When the accident in the river next to the railway station is appearing, i have some troubles getting the divers into the river so they can "mark" the car for the crane.
    But really a nice mod. I have made a extended helping guide to myself, but you are welcome to use it as you wish. A merry Christmas gift from me :-)

  8. Ok, now here's a question for you guys regarding how long the dispatch will be.

    Should I list the individual units? I'm doing the gas explosion one right now, and there's a bit of units responding, as it's transmitted as a 10-60 (Major Emergency).

    A 10-60 in NY is a response of a METRIC BUTTLOAD of units.

    (Still not as many as a Five Alarm though. 20 engines, 11 ladders for a 5 alarm. :Oo )

    I'm gonna wait for an answer before continuing to make the audio files. I'd like to redo 5, not 50 :)

    Just make all fire runs saying "Brooklyn (or whatever) announcing 10-75 in the Boro of Brooklyn. Brooklyn calling battalion (#)" that last bit doesn't matter as much but you really should listen to how it is read over the radio. You don't have to be stupidly detailed about it, it's just supposed to be a "hey, stop texting, you got a run."... alright that's probably only me.

    The question: The dispatcher doesn't read off every unit assigned on a box at first. It is sent to the houses/ MDTs and if it's a job the dispatcher will give a rundown if the chief is ready for it.

    Feel free to ask about how things should be said or if they sound right, I do live in the NYC area and know their dispatch well enough.
