My vote goes to the new one, mainly because it is new. I think that (Unless for scale purposes) you should add a larger, more fire-fighting and multitask boat, like this one: http://www.capecodfd.com/PAGES%20Special/Fireboats_FDNY_04_New-M1.htm
Also, incase you haven't came across this site yet, They have pictures of almost, if not every, Boat in the FDNY's current and old fleet.

Hello all,
Just a small update from me and the progress. We are moving into then next step of finishing it and we are consistently working on finishing it. As I do not have much to give to you now, as I want to keep at least some features of the mod a surprise for now... Anyways, Here is a Very short video, showing what we have so far:

It's going. We are currently in a animation/finishing up last models phase. From there all that is left is lighting and testing. No estimate as of yet, but we will have a preview for something new in the weekend.So how is the development going on?
Glad you are looking forward to it! I also like the idea of a small town like this, as is why we are working on it!Glad to see a small-town USA modification, especially the volunteer aspect! I live in a small town and don't really see that many things on here, mostly cities. Can't wait for this!

Right. If you watch close you´ll see the steady forward facing lights
I see them on all But one of the Fire Trucks, and only only a few of the Police cars, that is why i mentioned it.

In California at least, pretty sure there are other states. I know over here in NY, no.Is it a law for emergency vehicles?

Love the lights, they are awesome. Only one thing: All emergency service cars/trucks etc are supposed to have 1 or more red forward facing steady-burn. If you want to keep it like that, fine doesn't change the amazing quality of the lights. It's just that realism touch.

Not to be difficult, but (assuming the DL link on main page is current) When i try to download it, it puts me through a loop of, basically virus-installing programs that if you "Download now, it will make your download experience better" crap. Just saying that in future releases, could you upload it to a secondary source, Thanks. Great new LA Mod by the looks of it.

*facepalm* I did .. now I have a completely different problem. When I look at vehicles or the characters through a wall or building I see them as green 3D models.
What you can do is disable that in the settings. That is a game thing, not a mod thing.

I think the European models are the golden standard for structure fire.
The only limit I see in these helmets is their poor use during extrications or SAR operations. I use a smaller helmet when this occurs.
As I said in my post, I cannot see how those are very helpful, they don't cover the front of your face like a hat, or the back of your neck. I think american helmets are the top of the top, then again, I'm a bit biased

As I said, did you re-install the whole thing.Yes... i have install it as a patch... but there are missing proto like the fire stations and persons. Theres another thing with the cars... there appears to be car over car/ car into car... i have edited and deleted all the cars with this problems... this problem was solved.

Re-install the mod completely and 1.5.1 was only a patch for 1.5, not a whole new mod.I dont know if it is me; but i have a lot of missing prototypes and cars one over another with Ver. 1.5.1

You have to protect your exposures, a few places will light up like that, as they would if it were dry grass.So here's the situation..
House Fire.
Click on the scene and I got fire coming out one of the back windows, say okay, click the fire station, pull the engine, truck and chief, click back to the scene and like half the map is on fire... Why?
Can't load Version 1.5? Either you PC can't run it (that would be shocking) or you just need to reinstall the mod.Also why does it keep crashing when I go to load the mod.
You download problem, mega works on Chrome, Firefox and another that I can't remember, but not IE as far as I remember.

This is the configuration/Make of the helmet I use as a Jr: Cairns 1010 with faceshield (Not saying I don't like it they way it is, because I do, I would like it with bourkes better. Only thing I would change.)
In my personal opinion, I really do not like those European helmets. They seem, I don't know...weird

I received permission from Mariuswww and I honestly thought that he was the creator. I am deeply sorry for leaving the banners there and, well, they are inaccurate anyways. Rlast, (If your reading this) If you want to PM me and THVFD directly to talk, please do. I think it would be beneficial if we spoke to you at least once about the status of the current mod. NFK, I will go ahead and do that.

How do you get Apparatus Bay Door Openers on the Wall of Station #1, sometimes I can only get 1 to 4 doors to open & then they stop working for me?

Saving might not work but you have to go out to the main menu and click saved games and save your game. I personally use utility 1 as a first responders car, which I run on all fire alarms in its district. I staff it with a Lt. The doors not working, they should, I have not had any problems. If your guy starts to run around, let him. He will eventually get it.

Weird. You might just have to re-install cause the script might have gone missing or gotten bugged out. It works fine for everyone else as far as I know.I did and it still doesn't work

First off, no we're not doing Boroughs. If you look at the NYCERU team, and how they went to place parts of New York into the game, we're not looking to do that at all. We're looking to create a NY feel, not a NY copy. Stations are based on their real world counterparts, but does not mean that they will be placed identically to where they would be found in the real world, but rather we place them with what makes sense for the game.
Secondly, we've never stated the tanker will carry fuel, which can be switched to water, which can be switched to gasoline. No. That was members. We're letting you guys figure it out. But it is a single purpose unit.
Thirdly, in regards to the comment about post 9/11 to 2008. No narrowing down is needed actually. I'll play nice and not point out we don't NEED to do anything, except what we want, and just explain further. Post 9/11 means that we're not including blue NYPD cars, or the 90s cruisers. What it means is that most of the vehicles in it come from a mid point. If an abundance of pictures exist for random rare unit #1 in 2004, then we'll be looking to use that incarnation, whereas if random rare unit #2 doesn't have anything until 2007, then we'll be using that one. I think the newest model we've included is from 2008 or 2009, but the bulk of the units come from around the middle of that time period.
As Mikey said, we're looking to create a New York Mod that is not focused on having the most recent units on the street, because it'd be perpetually focused on replacing units, so a time window was opened up for the mid millennium section to fix this
I understand that and your logic completely. I also know that it was members, It was sort of just thrown in there. Also, it was not my intention to sound like dick about you needed to do something. You don't.

The NYPD has a shitton of used and unused things. The fuel trucks used on a scene vary but FDNY has a refueling truck from that us a 550 with a gas pump/tank on the back. Whoever said that you can always change what liquid was inside, remind me not to take heating oil from you. In terms of FDNY, If your making boros you should take actual stations and place them roughly in there place. Example TL33, E22, B10 in Yorkville (UES). You could have Hazmat 1 and second piece on map if you put them down in a queens-ish sort of a place. And there is a big difference between just, post 9/11 and 2008. I think you have to narrow your time down.

Hello all,
At this rate, work is slowed from my end due to me having Finals and other commitments at this time. I plan to once again pickup progress of my side of things (Lightning, being the middleman, and various other things). I do not have an ETA or % complete as of yet, but I will soon. Thank you all for your continued support and patience that you have given us. It really helps.
