Don't see why not.

You might have some trouble though since you've got a Radeon HD 5670. I used to have an Nvidia card (210 I think), and the computer as a whole could run the game easily on a mixture of low/medium. I upgraded to a HD 5770. This caused the game to stutter every second. I think a -memrestrict command fixed it.

The Steam forums have some pretty useful information from users and Rockstar if you have any problems.

Lines from a vehicles.ide file were found in the Max Payne 3 files. The list includes:

48 Cars

5 Bikes

10 Helicopters

1 Plane

25 Boats

9 Train models

There's a few things worth noting - The Rhino is back, and there's a helicopter called "Napalm"

Rockstar will probably not confirm if the list is an easteregg or fake, but it's pretty interesting. I hope it's real - having the Rhino back would be awesome. But we'll just have to wait and see.

The direction that the fire engines are going in is fairly clear and they don't need to leave their side of the road, but most of the traffic coming towards them comes to a full stop - Even cars that are 10, 20 feet from the traffic queue stop.

Exactly like that. There's Aircraftg carriers being built in Glasgow and Rosyth for the Royal navy, so independence would see that contract moved south of the border, costing millions.

The next is can you really support yourselves? ... and my next question is would it still be feasible, would things like the NHS disappear? Newfoundland has that problem. If we ever left Canada (which we don't want to), there would be very few places in the province with police services, as most of the province's police are RCMP. And honestly, I doubt that the treasury would be able to fund the expansion of the RNC enough to cover the full province as primary police services.

Note quite. The NHS is split up for each country, so there's NHS Scotland, NHS England etc that operate similary. I don't know if the NHS is paid for by one big pot from Westminster (divided for needs and population of course)

The Police are probably linked up to the Nation police database, allowing access from all over the UK, but policing itself is done by counties - Fife Constabulary, Lothian and Borders police etc. and I'm fairly certain that the Scottish government finances this (which is why they want to make one whole police force - probably in the same manner as the RCMP. The same applies to the fire service.

The final thing you need to look at is do people really want to be citizens of Scotland instead of the United Kingdom.

People in Scotland prefer to be called 'Scottish' instead of 'British', but that's as far as it really goes. I think the problem lies with the idea that people outside Scotland don't consider Scotland to be a country (or a country on par with England). It doesn't sound like much, but it has gotten to people. I would be surprised if anyone truly wanted independence though.

Although Scotland is a nation state, it's more commonplace to say England, N.I, Scotland and Wales are countries - which then makes the U.K a "Country of countries". Each has had a long history as being independent countries, so people here believe it's more appropriate to call them countries.

From what I've understood from older members of my college class, a few decades ago people and the media stopped considering N.I, Scotland and Wales as "countries", and started considering them parts of England. In Scotland, we generally see foreigners use England to refer to parts of the UK that aren't England. I think the people (mainly those from the 70s and 80s) want to see the rest of the world referring to places like N.I, Scotland and Wales as countries and realise that the UK is a country made up of countries. But many have mistakenly believed that the SNP are here to correct that. I know it sounds like a really silly thing, but people see it as a problem, and you can't just dismiss problems - otherwise they grow and 2014 onwards will be one hell of a ride.

Also there's the SNP elite who truly believe in independence, but the only people they are impressing is themselves.

Currently I disagree with Scottish independence and will vote against it in 2014.

The SNP's big selling point is that we'll be the 8th richest nation because we have oil supplies in the north sea and the country is very suitable for wind power. Well firstly, no one can confirm that Scotland would be the 8th wealthiest country in the world - only pro SNP seem to be able to prove that (not even independent sources have proved it). Secondly, wind power is pretty useless. A huge windmill has been installed in Dunfermline's industrial estate and can be seen for miles around - but it does NOTHING, I see it everytime I go into town, college or the train station and it hardly move, it's a total waste of time.

A problem that needs to be addressed is friction created by the use of "UK" AND the lack of unification.

Every year, news corporations pproduce headlines along the lines of "Hottest summer in UK for Decade" or "Hose pipe ban to hit Britain as sunny weather continues". These headlines apply to London and South England, nowhere else - the midlands will be mild, and N.England and Scotland will have rainy weather. I know it sounds daft, but using UK, Britain or GB to refer to a small area and it is causing resentment - People at high school didn't like it, and people at college don't like it as they feel they are being excluded.

It's not just the SNP and their supporters that are causing problems for unification, certain people in England aren't helping the idea of keeping the UK unified. Some of my family went down to somewhere in York for the weekend. When they went out shopping and tried to hand over money notes, the shop keepers refused to accept them because they were Scottish (if you don't understand, Scottish money is not classed as legal tender, but it's just a silly trivial matter and doesn't make a difference to anything). In the end, they had to find a bank so they could exchange their notes for English ones. It's just ridiculous and petty. Your money isn't worth less if it's represented by a Scottish note or an English note, it's money. Just accept the bloody thing and be happy you've made some business.

There's other points I've missed out, but I'm beginning to rant instead of make points, so TL;DR - Scottish independence = bad, but nobodies doing a good job at stopping it from happening.

Get/run the Steam client, and look for ArmA X: Anniversary Edition. It's all(?) the ArmA games, and it's got a good discount. Buying it through a browser lists a price of £39.99, but on the Steam client, it's £23.99 - an overall saving of £25.46.

I wouldn't really recommend a hard copy of any ArmA game. Bohemia release a lot of patches for their games. It's alright when they release a patch that can take you straight to the newest version, but such a patch normally comes later on, so you have to work up through the patches.

^ I agree. It's down to preference. Both consoles are great pieces of kit. I enjoy a lot of the features on Xbox (XBL, good exclusives), but the ps3 has some good exclusives and I like all the ps1 games available.

Airport firefighter simulator has been released in English. You can buy it at SimMarket. If you've already bought the German version from SimMarket, they'll give you a link to download the English version after you've logged in.

The story was a bit disappointing. (Spoiler tagged some thoughts so it doesn't ruin if for others)

• Gat died way too early for any proper effect. In SR2, Carlos died halfway through in a dramatic manner. But Gat's body is never actually seen, nor is it known if it was recovered - probably not since it was a plane crash - so he could still be alive and just faked his death, he did say he was fed up of the Saints being a marketing gimmick that it had become
  

• I find it annoying that some of the bridges are still up after STAG brought in martial law Motorbikes sometimes have trouble getting over.
  

• The zombified area of the city never seems to go away, which is annoying if you didn't gain control of the area beforehand.
  

There's also doesn't appear to be any civilian aircraft or boats going about, which makes the airport/waterways boring. There's also a tram line, but the tram cars are lying in ruin at a station.

The police motorbike is really good. Very nimble.

Some little Saints Row trivia: The numbers on the patrol car's roof can vary between 00 and 99

Finally found a "Let's Pretend" store, and bought a police uniform. You can change the colour of the coat, trousers and the shirt visible at the neck. Though black and grey looked better than the navy blue.

Tried to get a better picture but it's hard in all the chaos. When the SWAT van arrives, there's two SWAT team members on hanging onto each side of the van, looks pretty cool.

In response to some parts of the article:

Los Angeles is the current front-runner in the rumor mill for GTA V's setting. Reasons for GTA V taking place in Los Angeles include the following:

A screenshot from actorspages.com and a typed list have been going around lots of sites/forums like this one. The full description reads: "A young female obsessed with sex parties, always dreaming of being a Hollywood celebrity". With the full sentence, the meaning changes.

(I don't have VC installed, but I'm pretty sure the description fits Candy Suxxx well.)

Of course, with most numbered GTA games having taken place in New York City, and with Rockstar headquartered there, we could always be returning to a life of crime in the Big Apple.

If you don't include the VC and LC stories that was released onto PSP, - and considering that EFLC was initially released as DLC for GTA:IV - then Liberty city is only one ahead of all the other cities featured. The statement is quite daft - Going by this logic, it means that if GTA:V is SA, then GTA:VI will either be SA or LC because the game's been there the most.

I'm hoping for VC or LV. But the way I see it, Rockstar are recycling their locations:

GTA introduces us to: Liberty city, Vice city, and the state of San Andreas.

GTA III brings us back to Liberty city, in 3D

GTA VC goes back to Vice city, in 3D

GTA SA goes back to the state of San Andreas. This time the cities are more distinct, clearly setting out LS, SF and LV.

GTA IV takes us back to Liberty city again, but this time with an updated game engine, and the boroughs of NY are more obvious.

I think that GTA:V could be Vice city, but updated in the same way GTA:IV was (new engine, more obvious boroughs/districts)

Some people have pointed out that the V is a similar design to one of the old 5 dollar bills, or has a similar design to money. If this is true, then it could represent money gained through something like drug smuggling or gambling - both considered Vices.

Alternatively, the money thing could represent Las Venturas, and Rockstar intends to branch out the Cities that featured in SA. The same could actually be said about Los Santos - but stereotypically, money + city = Las Vegas.
