It has also been announced that 'LA Modification Center' will get the official release before it's released to the public. This will give the owner time to upload the files to his server in time for the release.

They will be available for download once the last siren is made, this will be the first 1.0 release.

For some reason I can only hear the Ambulance sirens in the game, the Fire and Police sirens do not work in game. Any help?

Do you hear the old sirens? If so, run the installer again, if it still doesn't work then use the manual instillation.

If you don't hear any sirens a tall, try and run the installer again, if not, check your siren folder (C:\Program Files\sixteen tons entertainment\Emergency 4\Mods\Los Angeles Mod v1.9\Audio\Fx\sirens), you should have Siren01 - Siren 06, with other EMS sirens.

Alright, I used a different type of component in this project than the windows default, that's why. Sorry about that, I will fix that before the full release.

Be more specific. When does it stop working? does it open? If you're running vista, are you running it as an administrator? Post screenshots if you can.

You could release the ones you have now as a beta release if you don't have time to work on them. It's up to you what you do and your personal life comes first, we can wait.

Alright guys, I need your opinion here:

Since I have created a siren for each emergency service, I could release it with 3 sirens and 2 additional sounds, or I could try and create another 3.

I'm saying this because I am extremely tied up with other stuff, and it would 'slacken the rope' if you know what I mean.

What do you think?

The remaining sirens are now being created. Once they are finished I will post another video and a download link.

Update: Siren05 - Police is now complete! I completed szron's request by making it full of various air horns and sirens.

Also edited the video to let you hear the new siren, hope you like it!

Little suggestion make PD sirens more "complicated". I mean a lot of piority, air horn etc :>

Update: Installer is now complete. This will install the sirens with a click of a button, however, if people are having trouble with it, I will post the siren files for manual installation.

Recently a lot of people have been asking for my sirens that I have in my videos on Youtube (Youtube account also shared with C.F.D). I have decided to make new sirens and release them.

Siren Modification V1.0

The first release of the Siren Modification is finally here!

It includes 6 sirens, a fire alarm and an engine start sound.

Download

Instillation: To install the sirens, simply extract the folder into '\Mods\Los Angeles Mod v1.9' and replace all the required files.

If you experience any bugs, please let myself or C.F.D know.

If you have a quad core, run it on one core, for some reason it helps.

Minimize the game when it reaches the menus

Open the task manager

In the processes tab, right click Em4.exe

Click set affinity...

Untick all boxes except CPU 0.

What is Atimkdag.sys?

Atimkdag.sys is a file which is in connection to your GPU. Without it, you're GPU wouldn't function properly. This error is only occurs with ATI users.

What is Nvlddmkm.sys?

Nvlddmkm.sys is the same as Atimkdag.sys, but it occurs with Nvidia users.

Why does it make my games crash?

When there is an error in your machine (I will explain the errors later on), a Windows Vista feature, Timeout Detection and Recovery, tells the GPU there is something wrong. It then displays a balloon saying, "The display driver [Atimkdag.sys/Nvlddmkm.sys] stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

What errors trigger the 'Timeout Detection and Recovery'?

This is the part which most users find problems with. The primary errors are Hardware and Software, which I'm sure you're all aware of. Now the harder part, the secondary problems:

• Overheating
  
• Power supply over load (Too much voltage going into your power supply)
  
• Bad over clocking
  
• Faulty operating system
  
• Incompatible drivers
  
• Outdated drivers
  
• Unorganised registry
  
• Incomplete installation of software
  
• Corrupt system files
  

How do I stop these errors from happening?

If you are experiencing any of the above, try and undo it. Sometimes a full system restore can help. Try using these fixes:

If you have narrowed your problem into a hardware related crash, you may want to check the temperatures of your components.

Hey, I play Emergency 4, the normal game or the LA Mod v1.8, for roughly 10 minutes, then the game freezes. The sound laps itself and I have to open the task manager. When I come back to the desktop, I get this error in a balloon:

I am 100% sure I have the right display drivers because I just downloaded them yesterday..
