  1. Another mission I was thinking of is an aftermath of a Soccer Game, in which fans are exiting the stadium after the city's team won the soccer game. Local Merchants and city officials are worried that the celebrations may turn violent and emergency forces are requested to keep order and prepare for injuries and fires caused by potentially rioting fans and if possible, prevent people from getting carried away and causing unwanted damage or injury. The trick to this mission is that fans do not like to see their fellow fans suffer beatings or arrests unless they commit crimes first, so you should wait until they hit something or clear out innocent people away. The briefing is a call conversation between HQ and the city's mayor stating concerns of a possible riot. Another mission I'd like to see included is athiests plant two bombs in two churches on a Sunday mass. You have a set number of emergency forces at your disposal, including an engineer. The bombs can be disabled by your engineer, but you do not have the time to disable both bombs or the manpower to evacuate both churches. Therefore, you must choose which church bomb to disable and which church to evacuate and keep people away from.
  2. I was thinking that if Emergency 5 gets a release in North America, it would be titled 911: Final Emergency Response.
  3. Some of the missions in EM5 I was thinking of: The first mission being the wedding crash in the church I mentioned earlier. A later mission in which a van crashes into a bank, injuring several people, and its occupants getting out and robbing it. Treat all casualties and arrest or neutralize the robbers. A man in a casino becomes enraged when he loses all of his money and take his anger out by destroying machines and starting a fire that quickly spread out of control. Extinguish all fires, rescue all victims, and neutralize or arrest the hothead who started this incident. Some of the fires are type C; only fire extinguishers can put them out. A kitchen oven is left unattended for too long as the one who was using it passed out in the bathroom. Several hours later, someone opens the kitchen and a large fire is started with a backdraft. Extinguish the fires and rescue the victims. Some of the fires are type B, so you need to put them out with foam, not water. A school hostage situation; the cutscene shows several boys walk into the high school casually while holding their assault rifles and everyone becomes afraid. Neutralize or arrest all suspects and evacuate the students. Some missions have briefings that are recorded call between HQ and the witness, instead of the standard generic briefing. (Objectives are still displayed when you enter.) Also, as you complete missions, you earn points based on your performance. Points can be spent on unlocking special vehicles and personnel, who can fulfill multiple roles. However, the maximum total points for completing all missions is just enough to purchase all special units. Of course, you can replay missions, but you can only gain extra points if your performance was better than last (you cannot extra point for replaying missions which were completed with full 100%). Some of the special units include firefighter paramedics (replace doctors, starts with a medical kit, can use extinguishers and masks, can lift small wreckage and people while not holding anything), patrol officers (police officers who come with a sidearm to use when necessary, can use an axe to break down certain things), Riot Police (unarmed but well armored police officers who can use nightsticks to help subdue suspects and riot shields to protect against certain attacks coming from its facing), Large Ambulance (replaces standard ambulance, same except it can transport two incapacitated persons instead of one and has 3 personnel slots instead of two), and High Risk Specialists (specialized firefighters with extra resistance to fire and immunity to contamination)
  4. Pre-Mission Cutscene: A sattelite scans the globe for emergencies, zooming first on the continent, then country, then city, then opening up a video of the incident before the briefing. For the first mission cutscene, in which a wedding ceremony in a church is crashed when a drunk driver crashes through the doors and into the bride and groom, and a bystander makes a call on his cellphone, dialing the emergency number. The dialing on phone only happens in the first cutscene. Waypoints: set waypoints for better pathfinding Active Civilians: some civilians will be active and helpful, they may use fire extinguishers against fires (not as effective as a firefighter but still helps), applying first aid on casualties (improves victim's condition more slowly than medical crew), and carrying victims to a more safe place (slower than firefighter). This add a bit of realism to the game as some civilians are willing to risk their lives to save others. In the first mission, as you enter the church, a civilian is using a fire extinguisher on the burning car.
  5. Injured persons can recover and stand after early and substantial medical treatment. They still need to go to ambulance but no strecher bearers needed. Their chance of recovering depends on injury received and lowest health reached. Backdraft: some rooms are backdraft rooms. They cause a backdraft from a door that was opened or a window that was broken and engulf the room in fire. Backdrafts can be avoided by breaking the door down or ventilating the room at the highest point.
  6. I thought of ideas for Emergency 5 that make the game more realistic, some the game more forgiving. Some injured persons, if treated quickly and sufficiently, will recover and stand up. They still need medical treatment and need to go to the ambulance but do not need stretchers for transport and won't lose health. If the injured person is a civilian, a red cross will appear over his/her head indicating that he/she needs to go to an ambulance but will automatically follow the doctor to the ambulance. If the injured person was a staff, he/she can resume his/her duties and can be controlled. Only certain wounds are recoverable, depending on the lowest health reached. New action for stretcher bearers, transport victim to nearest ambulance: click the button, then click the injured person, then the stretcher bearers will head toward and pick up the person then automatically head to the nearest ambulance. Backdraft: some rooms that are sealed are points of backdraft. Breaking a window or opening a door will cause a backdraft that injures the person who opens them greatly and sets the room on fire (breaking the door down will set the room on fire without the backdraft). You can tell that a room is a backdraft room if there's smoke around the door or window. Some backdraft rooms can be disabled by ventilating the room at its highest point. Handcuffs: police officers and others of law enforcement carry handcuffs with them. handcuffs are an item that can be used on dangerous people. this prevents them from putting and more resistance even when officer is away and makes it easier to transport them. every officer carries one set of cuffs on them, additional may be taken from vehicles. some missions involve buildings with multiple floors, you can change the level viewed.
