  1. You could try getting rid of the virtual objects for the stop signs. I did and just replaced them with traffic lights. It seems to have helped with lag and traffic issues.

I ended up just taking both stop sign scripts out and everything still works fine as far as I can tell. The script checking lag is gone now.

  2. I know there will be a new release coming to help with the lag but...

Is there anything that I can do on my end to help with the script-checking lag every second or so?

I tried changing the times on the stop sign script but that didn't help at all.

Thank you, and thanks to the team for all of their hard work.

  3. I can only speak for myself, but Im sure a lot of people in the community feel the same way as I do. Ive been reading this thread ever since it had like what, 80 pages ? Everyday when I boot up my PC I click the bookmark of this site, and check if there is a new post, or some sweet new pics, anything. I never asked how long it would take for the mod to come out, and I will never do so in the future. Why ? Cause I respect you guys for all the hard work you have put into this. And still do to this day as I am sure. You said that you werent sure about the support of the community as this point of the development process. Neither am I. People are not patient. And people on the internet even less so.

But I can assure you, yes I can really promise you, that the people who were with this mod from the beginning, who have witnessed this develop and grow, mature and become more complex, will wait for this mod however long it will take, and they will be endlessy grateful. Just as I am. I cant make you work on it, and it is only your decision what you will do with this. Will it live ? Die ? Who knows other than you guys. Only know that youre not alone, and that not everybody is an asshole and being frustrated. Not frustration is what I feel but excitement. Pure joy from reading in this thread and looking at the screenshots.

I hope youll make decision that youre comfortable with. Doesnt matter which way youll go with this. In the end the real life always counts more.

All I know is that I will forever be grateful, and will always have deep and honest respect for your guyses journey.

    Thank you,

    Finn from Germany

Couldn't agree more. Thank you for all of your hard work RCMP Mod Team!
  4. I think I saw this at some point, but how would it be possible to turn 2 sirens on at once? (Ex: Wail as one siren and Q as another). I want to be able to turn them on/off seperately. Also, would it be possible to have a siren that isn't on a loop? (Ex: a Q wind down audio clip that turns off once the clip ends).

    Thanks!

  5. Youre welcome. Just being as useless of a member as I can be.

For anyone concerned, not much has been done to Montana since earlier this year. Me and bama are just too busy with our respective projects and life. That's all really.

So I have begun rewriting the call vehicle scripts so that they don't run on a constant check anymore. This should end the lag that happens every second.

Quick question, have you guys figured anything out about the script check lag? Any script I can remove or edit that you can think of that I can do? I can live with the lag when I click on a unit but the lag every few seconds from the scripts drives me nuts. If not, no problem, thanks for all of your hard work.

    Thanks!

  6. 3. What does a utility fire truck do

Depends on the department, could be a brush truck, but usually a utility unit is just a pickup truck type vehicle used to take the trash to the transfer station, plow in the winter, tow trailers or move manpower, pretty much anything. Some carry an SCBA, AED and some hand tools, but no hose or ladders.

  7. I'll think about it. That's actually a good idea, but I don't know if I would be able to implement that and how hard that may be.

May do some cut-out strips (pre-mapped). You know, like the ones they actually use to prevent forest fires from spreading.

I've been thinking about trying it for brush-breakers (Brush trucks that can plow down trees that we use in southeastern MA) but you would have to make it so the bulldozer could drive over the stump somewhere in the script or something.
