Yeah, thanks for the info. I found photos of the new Charger with the rambar only a couple of days ago, so I didn't get to put it on yet. I didn't add IR Tahoes yet as they have no specific game function, and as I said earlier I plan to add all functional units before expanding the existing fleets further. Although I might add wildlife units as they fit the theme.
Also, I wanted to know if there are any air units used by OSP. Well, besides air ambos.
UPD: Minor update.
Scenery - Ranger Station/Visitor Parking
Also, Park Ranger skin
USPP Flight Crew skin

To go "inside" go to the left lower corner of editor screen, click "show/hide" and then "hide roofs"/"hide ceilings" (not sure what is the actual name). This way you'd be able to see inside.

Ah, never knew that as I edited the config before installing Montana. Not sure how it interferes with multiplayer though, as me and some friends have a mini clan and all use it with no problems.
It shouldn't interfere with MP. One of my friends had made himself a config with ability to get camera a lot further, cause he is used to have much bigger "field of view" in strategy games, and we still wer able to play together.

Nice! You've got some serious skills! This is one of the best looking mods I've ever seen.
Thanks, but I still have a load to learn. Converting models is not that hard, actually, especially if the game gives you low-quality LOD models in an optimal-for-EM4 poly range . And my techniques in making models from scratch are still a bit... shabby.
Oh, and I want to thank Hoppah for the personnel editing tutorial. It's a royal pain, but it works!

UK Border Agency sounds interesting, never seen a border force showcased in a mod before. This would be something that might come in an update after version 1.0, but it's still an idea. Would it be possible to make a campaign mission / free play event where illegal immigrants come up and you need to search for them in a general area and arrest them? I didn't explain it amazingly but I'm sure you understand.
Ehm... LA Mod?
But yeah, any kind of new freeplay even would be nice, though it requires a ton of scripting and very serious skills.

I second what Scotty said. I use the camera "hack" aswell and have no problem with multiplayer. Not sure why or how the montana mod caused this but I could pm you with instructions on how to get it back to normal if you want, I'd give you my backup config file but I'm on holiday with poor WiFi. Anyway, pm me.
Montana Mod download has a camhack with it. If you're installing it by readme, without knowing about the config, you'll install it, too

Yeah, i believe it's because of the newest office. I have permitted macros to run. Every time I open the file, it loads, then gives me "Compile error in hidden module: Module5". If I try using anything, like "Import base model" button - same error.

I heard you like enterable buildings (texture has high possibility of being changed)
Model by Rockstar Games (GTA SA), convert by Ace612 -
You asked for a proper lightbar on the Caprice and you shall receive.
Jeep Grand Cherokee replaced one of the CVPIs in the SD fleet. Because there's already a lot of them around.
BCSD Responding to a hostage situation in a local supermarket. OSP SWAT called and en route
Chevrolet Caprice and Jeep Grand Cherokee models by LA Mod; Whelen LED spotlight by bama1234, Federal Signal Streethawk by F5544 (GTA SA) converted and redone for EM4 by Ace612
Textures and map by Ace612
And yeah, thanks for all the positive comments guys!Dude yes! As an Oregonian I am so stoked to see this being produced! If I can help with skinning or anything let me know, looks incredible so far!
I appreciate your offer. Don't know if your skinning skills will be required (at least at this point of the development), but I'm almost certain I'll need a LOT of info on emergency services and whatnot

Yup what Ace said.
I am wondering if the problem is the fact that the rotors are an actual model and not a flat textured blade, maybe this played with the physics or maybe it is simply the animations playing up.
Well, I believe most physics in this game depend not on the model itself, but on the collision that is set in the editor, so as long as that one stays empty, it should work.
Just looked into the rotors' files. The creator apparently thought it was a good idea to make the "stop" animation incredibly long to emulate the blades spinning when the helo landed in order to make it more realistic - no emergency pilot will lock the blades in the middle of the operation. And, by the looks of it, the creator screwed up when doing the animations - you can clearly see blades' size changing, at least on some of the models.
-
It's also like that in several over mods. WCCM, Riverside, Rockport, London... Pretty much every mod that uses the edited version of the standard map lol. So I dunno if it's the map that causes it or its actually the models because the WCCM & Rockport mod use a different helicopter & the Riverside uses the helicopter from the LA mod.
That blades (and probably the helo, too) actually come from one helicopter pack, and in that pack blades for every helo have glitched animations.
-
So I need to animate new set of rotors for a heli model.
1. First question - can the rotors be added as separate childs - tailrotor and mainrotor - and not as a single object? Theoretically, they should, but I've never seen that done before.
2. Could anyone help me with Hoppah's model-to-animation converter? That thing wouldn't work on my PC, I'll supply all the frames-models, and would work onward with the output file. -
I think that smaller second Firetruck -maybe brush or equipment truck [hazmat, jaws etc.] will be a good idea to add to modAnd it will be nice then FF have First Aid script [stabilize].
FFs can use any vehicle anyway. Personally I have them man the flatbed truck with one having jaws and second - extinguisher. And rangers can stabilize, so yeah, there's not much of use for any additional trucks.
-
This could work actually, not sure how I would get around it though because you would still have to make an extra bit of equipment for the game.
Try to refer to LA mod's ways to add equipment (e.g. traffic cones, shield etc)
-
Well, I was kind of interested in NFS-themed mod. Although the actual "Civic Cruiser" would be better than the CVPI...

Thanks for support guys, a little update

Yeah, updates became a bit rare, but not because we stopped or anything. Just that on announcement there was a bunch of units done/nearly done, which allowed for frequent updates. Also, now that the map layout is almost complete, there's not much to show off there.Looks brilliant! Glad you're still working on this, I was getting a little worried.
On a different note I really like that tactical unit, if I may offer a suggestion: Many counties that have such a unit keep it tucked away somewhere unstaffed 99.9% of the time, perhaps this could be done in this mod as well. BUT to keep it useful and realistic that unit would be the only place BCSD officers could change into "tactical gear" and get more advanced equipment like flashbangs and shields. So to bring the truck to the scene a officer would have to drive to wherever its stored and switch vehicles and bring it to the scene. Just an idea. either way I love what you've done with this mod.
And yeah, just a little problem with the second statement. It's NOT a tac unit

Great job Ace! loving the conversions you've done. Will this run on Intel graphic cards? or will it be along the lines of the Montana mod etc?
Well, I hope it will. Though I do need to reduce the poly count on that Columbia and international semis, I believe 13k is quite a lot for this game.
Anyways, I hope it'll require less power than Montana. That one is too much for my PC

what scale should things be at as im modelign something but dont know how big to make it
Just import similar model into the editor and scale your model to look realistic in comparison with it. Than delete the reference model from the scene and export the model you get to Em, it should have the right scale.

That Suburban is beautiful. Any functionality added with the walking boards?

Well, these screens were a "sneak peek", I was going to credit the models when I'd showcase them, but well:
Trailer by SCS Software (18 Wheels of Steel)
Bridge and GMC Yukon XL by Terminal Reality (4x4 Evo 2)
About the trailers - yes, I am aiming to convert a bunch of them, along with some semis. I don't know if I'll release them publicly or will send them upon request to trustworthy people
