  1. I'm quite surprised there isn't more talk about this. They released one screenshot for GTA V and there were whole sites made to discuss it. I'll fuel a discussion

    For Emergency 5, what do you guys think there will be in the way of missions? Personally, I'm hoping for more missions along the lines of those in Emergency 1 and 2, large calls, but not too far out there. I'd like to see a bunch of the strategy be returned, and hopefully it'll be done in the way they did it in the older games, like the evacuating a plaza because of a truck bomb. You had to find out where it was and remove it, or evacuate the area, trying to get everyone out before the bomb went off. That's one thing I missed. Those missions offered several big endings, all passes, but would require you to think. If you were spot on enough to catch the van, you'd get full marks on the mission. If you evacuated the plaza, but didn't get the van, reduced marks, etc. All were feasible endings, and I enjoyed how strategically planned you had to be. Maybe it'll be something we can see returned

    I would like to feel the mood of the Mission 4 from Emergency 2, I don't know if you get what I mean ;)

  2. I'd like to have "fog of war".

    Fog of war is what you find in war strategy games and it means that you can't see what's going on if you haven't got any of your own units there.

    The callouts could also be more interesting with fog of war. Let's say that there is a 911 call that says that there's a garbage container on fire but when you arrive at scene you see that there actually is a whole house on fire. Or a call that someone can smell smoke and when you arrive you have to search for the smoke and you finally find a tree on fire. There could also pop in more information when you're on your way (simulating a second person that called). The patrolling police cars could also spot something weird and report to you who may decide to intercept or not. Oh and just think about the robberies and the pick pocketing when you can't see what's happend. You can't send someone after the guy if you can't see him so you'll have to race to the scene of crime and then your police vehicles could automatically spot and alert you of someone if they see someone that looks like the guy that committed the crime (he could or could not be the actual criminal).

    I would also like to have delayed dispatch that means that the vehicles have a delay before appearing. This would add much realism.

    this would be awesome, and... it's also quite simple to realize, even for medical calls, (awake patient on phone, unconscious when you find him for example, or trapped)

  3. Its so hard to find this car patroling (never seen).

    Red helmet is for squad commander only.

    The car is from the Reparto Prevenzione Crimine, (Crime Prevention Squad) it's quite common here in Rome, to see these beside the 159s

    I made it red as the Caposquadra because in black (regular firemen) you wouldnt notice the helmet details ;)

    They already got them (except go back to the station).

  4. oh and what i forgot to say.. some of you might know that i'm working on the map for RCMP modification! this of course takes some time too! but i'll be showing some progress on that in RCMP thread soon too ;)

    I was wandering who was doing the RCMP map, now I know it will be awesome :D

    I totally support both of your projects (this and RCMP) and your decision to carry on a one-man-mod....even because I can't offer more than support, since I can't mod lol

    Most important thing: take your time and don't get in a rush because of the incoming emergency 5 :)

  5. I know this thread hasn't been posted on since June but i would like to say this mod looks great, especially the PVSD, i've always wanted to see a Tactical Medic in a mod.

    Posting on such a old topic you made me know this mod, it's awesome, I like it for the map, the feeling it creates is unique
