  1. The TEC is pretty much done,I will most likely update the snowplows with the newer cabs.I will also give the city of Surrey engineers van a new skin,they updated the colour and graphics on their vehicles so I will do the same.

    Wow, it has been a very long time since I have been on here. I am glad you guys are still working on the mod and it is looking awesome. Been watching all your updates on Youtube because this is the only mod I been watching really... If I am reading this right, snowplows? I'm gonna have to reread through this thread and find the snowplow discussion.

  2. I love this mod so far. I am not sure if I am having a problem with it or not though. I do realize this is based off a multiplayer clan system so that very well may be it.

    When i started my game, I filled every firehouse on the map completely. I got a bigger structure fire and sent a couple engines and a ladder and the Chief. I decided I wanted to call for an extra engine and truck. But when I click on the buttons in the chiefs menu to call for the extra units I get a message on the top of the screen saying no fire engines availble etc. Am I doing something wrong? Is this the message I should be getting?

    I don't think call commands are functional.

    Correct. Battalion and Caption call commands are not functional. Forgot to test the police function to see if you can dispatch the closest police unit for backup.

  3. Nice Video. Can't wait for the update. I can definitely tell that is more for multiplayer than single player because it's quite a task doing everything. Especially with the ambulances. It's hard to remember to go to the hospital to return them to station after dropping off the patient. In multiplayer, you normally have someone running Fire, Police, and EMS so you don't have to worry about it.

    On the airplane, I can only get it to come up on the Challenge and always fail because I have 3 other BIG incidents going on at the same time. I'm hoping to get it in endless game soon so I can try and complete it.

    Couple other things i saw:

    - The 2 apartments on the corner by Station 6 and the bridge (enterable ones) there is a jumper which you can't get the jumpad on.

    - On the paramedic, I accidentally dropped the medic bag and in the middle of dropping it, I moved him by accident. So that took away the function to get a new bag. I went to a patrol car and got a flare and removed the flare so I could get a medic bag again; it made the paramedic have police commands.

  4. As for the people blocking roads, I think I found that if there's a direction change in the path of the people it causes mass ciaos. Since the people do stop for a second when they change direction, and when cars come they do sometimes stop(or run like crazy) but if they have two "stop" commands they take ages to move again....Imma see what I can do in my version cuz I'm a no life ;)

    I noticed a few times when people were blocking the road but mainly it was because my units were driving on the sidewalk when they can't get around a vehicle and causing them to run in the road.

    Honestly, I have no idea, I check virtual objects, paths, spawn points, triggers, I used the route finder, I made sure there were no objects underground... and there appeared to be nothing wrong, I just moved the station to a new spot to the east where the gas station is on the island

    Hmm, really weird. I also checked the VO and what I thought would cause it seeing nothing so interesting. Glad you got it fixed though.

  5. Station 2 Engine 2 has been an issue in the mod for several versions - it has been fixed and will be released in the next version

    Awesome.. Thanks for the update. I've never seen anything like that before with my modifications. If you don't mind sharing, what was the issue?

  6. Nice job on the mod. I been playing single player and enjoying it. I did find a bug with one of the engines not returning to station but I forgot which one. I'll post when I play and see which one it was. I also was disappointed when I didn't have patrol function on police car so I put it on there as well.

    Surrey rcmp.... There is no add or remove button; there are just arrows. In the left box, find vcmdPatrol and then click on the arrow pointing right to put it on the vehicle. Hit ok, and editor should autosave it.

    EDIT: Seems to be a bug with Station 2. Engine 2 seems to think it's parking spot is on the curve by the bridge instead of at the station. When I return it to station, it goes onto the curve and backs in like it's at the station but it's really backing into the woods. Let me know if you need a picture to see what I mean. Rescue 2 and Medic 2 respond back fine.

    In the upper left side of the map at the power plant (or chemical) there is a gas explosion event there and it's a automatic failed mission.

  7. There is a tutorial on how to make accidents somewhere in the forums or tutorials page but I can't find it. I saved it on my computer though and credits goes to whoever posted it. I have not personally tried it so not sure if it actually works.

    How to add accidents in the editor:

    Go into the editor to one of the accident scenes and click on the car then go to properties and notice the name on the car CCAR01 then go into traits and there is check box that says Person Enclosed and when checked, there is a little tab underneat that says CCARP01. If you click on the glass or skid marks, you will notice CCARD01.

    Select under vehicles wrecks sliceable & place that vehicle where ever. Name that vehicle when placed CCAR31 (start there and work up from 31,32,33). Go into that vehicles traits and check the person enclosed and pick one from the menu. If you want multiple vehicles, select another wrecks sliceable and place it, name it CCARD31. Go into traits person enclosed..yada yada. If you want to add skid marks or glass, go into debris and pick appropriate one and add. Name it CCARD31 as well. If you want to add people that aren’t in the cars, just name that person CCARD31. Primary vehicle is CCAR, anything else is CCARD.

    Set accident’s frequency.

    Go into DATA/SPECS/FP_PARAMS_ENDLESS(open with notepad) there is all your frequency settings, just change and save.

    Nobody trapped inside:

    If you want to have a car with no one in it or a object, must name them CCARD31. Only 1 car can be named CCAR31 same with people.

  8. Can a moderator fix the topic please. I clicked the link to get the van and car and just went to a "page not found". Take out the link to V1.12 and possibly changing this topic to Unmarked Dodge Charger? Will help others not be thrown off expecting to download a crown vic and van and will also show others what is really available in this topic.

  9. im trying to add lightbars and it says, Whelen.v3o and then it has other files. Most are png but they just say colors. lik red-red.png and i put them in the 08 lightbar file in the models and it doesnt show up. Not even the whelen. Do i need to do more than that? What do i do?

    Read Hoppah's tutorial on "adding vehicles to the mod" because it should almost the same with editing the model / texture files to link each other and such. When I tried adding vehicles, I had to edit the model and picture files so they linked each other.

  10. The mod is looking great. I like all the vehicles and I'm unsure if you have map pictures yet or what not but I seen the river one above and it looks awesome! I seen you were needing some help on the mod and I would volunteer but I literally have no time in between jobs to get anything done. Keep up the great work guys and look forward to the release in the future!!

    Everything in the LA Mod is releasable without permission. It's just copyrighted and you must provide credits to the owner. A tutorial can also help others so they can learn how to do it themselves instead of having it done for them.

  12. ok I need help unlocking my vehicles to reskin. First I go to the dds file of the vehicle that I want to unlock the skins for. Then I change it to something different like (cv_lapd.dds-------cv_lapdt.v3o). Once I change that I go to the editor and load my mod, unpack the file and close the editor. Last I go to Paint.net and try to open the file it gives me an error message.

    What did I do wrong? Can someone explain this to me?

    After you unpack it from the editor, you need to change it back to the original .dds name. This is a outline tutorial of what you need to do pretty much.

    • Unlock DDS Files required for vehicle.
      • Find DDS file in models folder
      • Rename file to something else and change extension from dds to v3o
      • Extension change allows editor to unpack file to make readable for programs.
      • Ex: cv_chp.dds to cv_chpt.v3o

    • Open the editor.
      • Load mod
      • Select Unpack File and navigate to models folder
      • Find the renamed DDS and press ok. This will unpack the file for editing.
      • Ex: cv_chpt.v3o

    • Rename v3o back to DDS
      • This will allow vehicle model to recognize texture
      • Rename it back to original name
      • Ex: cv_chp.dds

    • Import to photoshop
      • Convert / save image to whatever format
      • Alter it as necessary

    • Convert back to DDS
      • Take texture and turn back into DDS file for the model file.
      • Use DDS converter

    • All DDS files in folder
      • All dds files you changed are in folder where they belong.
      • Load editor and see newly skinned vehicle there.

  13. Can somebody please help. LA Mod wont install into 911 Fr. It says it can find a valid installation. Please help I really want to play the game!

    First: If it's pirated, sometimes LA mod won't find it.

    Second: If it can't find the installation automatically, try doing it manually by clicking on the browse button and browsing to the mods 911:FR mods folder in program files.

    Third: Redownload the mod and try again.

    Good morning gentlemen. I remember someone posting about this but I can't remember where it was. Any how my issue.

    So with the ladder it comes up as a big grey thing in the shape of it. The wheels are fine. But it just looks really nasty.

    And my police fire and ems and tech are all the same way.

    I think I remember something about pictures or something. But I can't remember.

    A little help would be nice :)

    Did you try to redownload the mod and install again? Might be a corrupted models folder or something maybe?

    I know this is rather small, but if you do get the time to update the mod, you need to fix your grammar on the main loading screen. It's not "Photo's Provided by mikesphotos.us". That would be a contraction of "Photo is provided by Mikesphotos.us". Since you have multiple images on the loading screen, it should say "Photos provided by mikesphotos.us".

    Sorry TheMexicanParatha, I do not think anyone is going to correct a slight grammar problem such as that.

  14. Ok guys, I screwed up, Sorry I set it to upload and went to sleep and there is another problem I also found. I'm working on it now. It may take awhile.........

    When I talked to you last, the mod was lost due to mega upload being shut down. Did you find it or did you start all over again?

  15. looks a lot like mine lol. how do you get the vo to rotate? all my cars are parked in the same direction. i also can hold up to 10 cares in mine but my issue is that i can not call the car 9 or 10 in the call patrol script do to the statementbeing to long. is there a way to fix that part of it?

    Yep, there isn't much else you can do with it. We have only done minimum scripting to make it functional.... I do not know how to rotate vehicles. I've looked through the script and do not see anything that has to deal with rotating the patrol cars so unsure here.... LACallPatrol script is what you are talking about? What is car 9 & 10? As I said, we haven't gotten to any of the scripting work but to make it functional but I can always look over things and get an idea of what needs to be changed to make it work. Never received a statement to long error but I'm wondering if your missing a bracket or something like that.
