  1. If you use firefox just get Download Helper Add on and you can download the files to your hard drive. If its an FLV file you can use FLVExtract to extract the audio and video in to separate files. I forget if the audio will come out as MP3 or WAV, might depend on the file. If its an MP4 you can use Yamb to extract the audio and video to separate files(1 for audio and 1 for video) then run the audio through Audicity to convert it to a Mono WAV file.

  6. No problem, fyi, when the editor crashes like that when importing a texture, it usually means you did something wrong when you saved the TGA file. Make sure to keep a copy of the PSD for changing because once you get the tga file into EFT format there is no way to edit it so you have to edit the psd or tga file, then save to tga, and import the TGA.

  14. You are editing the file in LA Mod 2.0/Specs and not in Data/Specs correct?
  15. At the top of the bc script look for OBJ_LADDER = "mod:/LA Mod 02 Fire/ladder.ed4" thats not exact but simply change that to refer to the tiller and i think you will be good to go.
  16. Not sure, but I would guess Light 1 is yellow, and then 2 or 0 is going to be red. No script for civil cars. It is hard coded into the game. Now if we had a way to reverse engineer the files like the warez groups do to make cracks for games, then we could see the actual script. Could you elaborate? I am not sure. I havent played winterberg in ages as I never could figure it out even with English translation.
  17. Doesnt the use of ranks encourage people to spam as well? Just the other day I had some one refer to me as "a high ranking officer" as if being an Assistant Chief really meant anything.
  18. The freeze is normal. Says so when you install the mod. Just be patient and do not touch anything else while your loading the mod.
  19. Side note: Shouldnt this be under modeling, not tech help? On topic: Does it have to be 4 lights to an intersection? Can we do 3? I tried but some how I always have one light stuck on green but yet cars wont go through.
  20. Make sure you run the cleaner and registry cleaner. I think the registry cleaner is the important thing because I notice an e4p file extension pop up. Also, for the sake of testing, pop back in an unedited script for the one(s) you modified and check to see if the mod loads then.
  21. Read the directions again: The size of the texture must be a multiply of 512 pixel in width and height. Now I suck at math but if you want to go over 512, you would have to go up to 1024x1024 i believe. 512*1=512 512*2=1024 Make sure you choose 24 bit, and make sure you do not check the compress box.

  24. I dont have the mod installed anymore, but try to see what commands the police cars have, but its not quite that easy. I use a program called Search And Replace to help me with scripting. It allows you to(obviously) search all files in a directory and replace text with in multiple files at once. I had to put the name of the patrol command in to the search box, and leave the replace box empty, to find the 2 scripts. One script references a command from another script(and i think most of there scripts are like this which is why they accomplish the things they do). However I have a different approach.. http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/306/em4deluxe20100716073926.jpg If you look at the right side you see Light 0 NH,Light 1 NH,and Light 2 NH. I am guessing the game is programed to tell civilian cars to stop outside of the traffic vo when the light turns to Light 0 NH, or Light 2 NH, so by adding this to the patrol script, maybe we can make patrol cars realize the light is red. I am going to work on it but if you make nay progress with this, let me know. Feel free to PM me if you want to brain storm on this.
