I say go for it. Now department training regulations are going to differ of course. Here, I think FF and First Responder(step below EMT-B level) training are required, but not EMT or PM training. Point is, look in to it and see if you would be required to do FF,EMT,and PM training. If only the FF training is required, training will obviously take less time then FF and EMT Training. Get the bare minimum training to get on the job and get to work. Start on your two year journey and by the time it is over you will be 18-19. If you have decided you dont like it, you still have your whole life ahead of you to pursue college or another career.

Been there done that, and I still get sick. Its hard for me to say I wont go back some where, but Chilis is one, and White Castle is the other. Last 3 times I went to Chili's the service sucked, the food was good once they cooked my steak. Before that they served it to me brown on the outside, and wasnt even cooked enough on the inside to consider it rare. If you cant consider it rare, then thats just plain sad. This thing looked like they had just butchered the cow in the back, and as long as it took to cooke the food, they might just have been slaughtering the cow in the back. Oh and in regards to Olive Garden, almost all restaurants are like that unless they are truly a gourmet restaurant. I have had friends who worked at several restaurants, and most of the time the food is delivered to them pre made and frozen. Then they cook it, and then when its ready to be served, they nuke it(microwave it) so it comes to you nice and hot.

Have you named objects? For example, car crashes, need to be named something like ccar01 for all the cars in that wreck. Did you get my pm Rihis?

How is blue and white not emp colors? A few days ago? Try months. The drop down menus wont even be here in a day or two..so you cant suck it up for a day or two? Is it so hard to read the log in text in the top left? Before being so harsh why not think, hey the drop down cars wont be here in a few days, I know where the log in link is, so is it so hard for me to deal with the drop down bars for a few days and when there gone I wotn even hardly know a difference in the old theme and new one other the color?

You can get that map texture, but..its not going to be 100% accurate. Somewhere in the download center is this map but its the one from the game, not Hoppahs so it doesnt have the alterations for the fire stations or hospitals, but if you grab the textures from w00ds maps, you could copy and paste the missing parts. It would take some time to get it just right though.

So you like wana thank about that? Hasn't been an update in like a year and there really isn't anything more that could be done aside from updating the model to an ford escape but I can't model.

The problem seems to lie some where with the graphics card. Theres nothing you can do. The game chooses them randomly. I am starting to wonder if the game isnt hardcoded to only allow so many event total or so many events of each type. If you alter the xml files I mentioned, and increase the frequency, you may notice more variety. The same thing applies to car accidents.

Then why post? First, you need to find the gas explosion itself. It's under object in the prototype list. I forget exactly where but look around and you will find it. Then once you place it on the map, you need to left click on it so you see a green box pop up around the gas explosion object. Then click properties. Now you will see an area called object name, or child name, something like that. I believe it will be an empty text box next to it, or it will see unnamed. Now in the box type in gas_explosion (note the underscore, you do need to have it in there. Then save the map and go play. If you like the gas explosion fires, like me, you can also adjust your fp_params_endless.xml or fp_params_endless_d.xml(if you have em4 deluxe) and make it so you have more gas explosions.

Why would you want another chainsaw,etc? Chainsaws dont exactly change there shape all that much. Stretcher - EM4 isnt exactly a highly detailed game so I am not sure adding a new stretcher model would really look all that different and again, the shape and size doesnt exactly change much from cot to cot. Hydraulic equipment is another story as you have spreaders,cutter,and combo tools. So here you could alter the model quite a bit but in the end, the animation for prying the doors open would be the same so you would not get the true effect. If you want new equipment that badly your probably going to have to model them your selves as most modelers are pretty tied up right now.

Ok let me clear this up. I have not added new models to the original 4x4 submod. I have reskined the USFS Truck, and added parts of AUS, Undercover, LED and some other submods to, but it does not include everything for all the submods. One example is I think the only units added from undercover submod was a unmarked charger. From the LED Submod I added several units like the Engines, EMS Charger, and some other, but did not use any of the led police cars. However, my submod, thanks to those who contributed via there projects, is the closest thing we have to all the submods, and more, rolled in to one submod.

First things first, how is java relevant to helping you learn C++? While similar there not exactly the same, so why not focus on C++, not java? Second, naming the game 911 First Responders is a bad bad idea imo. This name is surely copyrighted by Sixteen Tons, so you could likley be sued over the use of the name and you wont even have a legal battle on your hands. It would be out right instant defeat for you. Third I would suggest starting with something much much easier, like a text based game. Then once you get the hang of making a basic text game add little things to it like, a timer on how long it will take the unit to arrive. Eventually progress in to a more robust game where you see ambulances,fire trucks, and police cars. Good luck all the same and I have an android phone so I am anxious to give it a try when it is done.

Blue Velvet, once its redone should be very nice. However why cant we have two or three themes to choose from? I know it is more work when you add hacks that need manual template edits, but we rarely have new hacks added, and even then it only takes slightly longer to complete the task.

Usually when people start a thread for a mod its because they have something to show off already. who wants to help = all the more reason this is the wrong forum. do I want to help? - HA you mean do I want to do the work while you sit back and do nothing? No. I had over a week to offer my help. I offer help to people that truly have something to offer. You can;t do anything other then probably reskins, so again no. shut down the topic - It already should be. Your looking for people to make a mod for you. Come back and ask again after you have a few months of learning to script, model or make maps..something.

Any chance you will update this for EM4 Deluxe? The main deluxe events I can think of is bird flu/dead birds, electrical box sparking and fire hydrant.

Normally I would agree, but in this case it seems like there wont be anything left for future versions, and with the amount of detail there adding, the first release will keep us busy for years to come Personally speaking, I dont even know if I were them, if I would be holding stuff back for V2 or v1.1 or whatever the second release is seeing as EM5 is not that far off, assuming it has a mod system of course.

Had a feeling you would say that..did you download the LA Mod before or after the recent forum problems? If it was after, then I would try clearing your cache and cookies and try again. If it still fails, then I suspect the file got corrupt during the crash/restore, and the only thing that will fix it is if Hoppah or some one can upload a new copy of the LA Mod to the server.

Care to send me the prototype so I can add it for the next release? Didnt care to much for the current E17 but Chad did the best he could to mimic the pattern I wanted but the lightbar is a bit shorter then the one from the video I showed him.

I figured it was separate, but just checking. I am anxious to see what you do as lights are one thing I have no desire to keep realistic, and I like to have a variety.
