I disagree. If governments make it illegal, one crime rates would likley go up. You would fill already over packed jails and prisons with even more people. Since it would be distributed as an illegal drug like weed,crack,coke,etc, you then have to worry about the rates of violent crimes rise as drug deals for cigarettes go wrong and of course murders will be apart of that statistic. What about large corporations that are able to pollute more because they are able to buy credit from small companies? Personally I say the government has more pressing issues such as the economy(atleast in the US), and other things besides people choosing to smoke or not.
