  1. Yes, they're not allowed for edit Because those were a test for the RCMP mod, and they're the car models they're using so it's not permitted
  2. They're not released yet until after the RCMP mod is released
  3. Close the road off with the police and just leave it like that for the rest of the game LOL! I do that all the time: "damm fires..... I know I'll just leave it" It's legit trust me.
  4. Everyone come check out our new Ford Taurus model up at the Aiken County Submod page! :)

  5. Thanks for the compliments Zach! In response to Fred03, I might bring out a small pack of non-lethal models if I get half the chance to work on them! I've got an M67 grenade on its way, just preparing the textures for that at the moment, and if you have any ideas please feel free to PM them to me
  6. UPDATE: I've add some textures to the model just to give a general idea, not necessarily final as they're quite simple at the moment.
  7. Ford Taurus, created by my good friend Chompster!
  8. If you need some kind of murder weapons I could work on some for you? For example, a crowbar or bloodied wrench
  9. Thanks for the infor The OC-D! I'll be sure to take a look at that.
  10. Made this model as a tester if it's of any interest to you; I'm not even sure if you wanted an explosive grenade, but what the heck', someone might .
  11. Thanks for all your responses and comments guys! That's very useful information Cops; great for proceeding forward, and getting this thing to actually work in the game! With regards to JamesJackson and Zach1019, thanks for your interest in the project However, as the model needs some adjustments, needs to be UV mapped and textured, and most importantly, needs to get working in the game first, I can't give it to you guys yet! The problem is, I need to sort out the file formats, and I'm not sure if it even works in the game XD. Stuff like putting it in to the editor will have to be tested first However, I'll keep you guys posted, and I'll tell everyone about any updates to the model!
  12. Hey all, I've started work on a Taser model, perhaps with the view of adding it too the Aiken County Mod project, but more importantly just to improve my modelling skill and try to get better! Tell me what you guys think; the depth of the model is low simply due to the use of textures in Emergency 4 being more important , as you won't see that many details anyway.
  13. Just out of interest, have you created a model to go with it or are you just going to edit the properties of the flashbang?

AIKEN COUNTY SUBMOD The Team: EmergencyFan97- Co-Leader, Skinner Fire/EMS Rlast - Co-Leader, Skinner Police, Prop-Modeller EM4life - Lighting Mindcore - Mapping, Scripter K9 Alex - Skinner, Scripter CFDDIVE11 - Skinner The Project: The Aiken County Submod is currently in-development, and acts as a replacement for the Los Angeles v2.1, replacing all units in the game with units from the Aiken County Area. This submod will include State Agencies as well as the Police Forces from each of the cities within Aiken County. It is possible that in the future National Agencies will be introduced in to the mod, along with maps and new missions. 15. Hmm, I'm not really very good on the specifics of the Emergency 4 mod process, as I use Photoshop to texture on numerous games. However, perhaps there is some sort of XML file that you could edit. For example, I know to add equipment to vehicles, there is an XML file you go to, find the name of your vehicle, and under equipment (or something), you paste the name of your equipment model. I'd guess that there may be something like this for personnel, instructing the game what equipment they can pick up, and use, or carry; not entirely sure though. Regards, Rlast.
  16. No sir, it's not the same programme! But I can inform you that that exact Nvidia plugin for Photoshop is what corrupts my files, or at least doesn't work with them properly; I tend to stay away from directly saving DDS files straight from photoshop, and rather save it as a PSD, open it up in Paint.NET, and export it as a DDS. Basically, open up your DDS in Photoshop, edit it, save it as a .psd, open Paint.NET, load the PSD, save as .DDS with the same name as the file you want to replace. Regards, Rlast. Any further information you need just ask! DXTbmp = http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Graphic/Graphic-Editors/DXTBmp.shtml
  17. Hey Heyjoojoo! The problem, I believe, is that you have yourself a corrupted DDS file! Now, I guess you're using DXTbmp with Photoshop, as in you're opening your DDS up in DXTbmp, sending to editor, editing in Photoshop, and then reloading your new edit in to DXTbmp? 1. Download Paint.NET and install it. 2. Download a .PSD plugin for Paint.NET. http://psdplugin.codeplex.com/ 2. Edit your skins normally by sending them through DXTbmp to Photoshop. (DON'T CLOSE PHOTOSHOP ) 3. Reload the skin back in to DXTbmp when finished and save it. 4. Save a .PSD version of your re-skin after you've saved the DDS from DXTbmp, hence not closing Photoshop at an earlier stage. 5. Open up the .PSD version in Paint.NET. 6. Go to File, Save As, select the .DDS format, and then save with the name of whatever your original .DDS file was called. Best Regards, Rlast. P.S. If you're not using Photoshop, I can imagine you can open up the DDS in GIMP or whatever, then just do the same thing; save the file, open it up in Paint.NET, and re-save as a DDS with the same texture name.
  18. Hey sorry guys, I spoke to Goog about this stuff and he gave me some good advice so I'll be halting the development Apologies to C.F.D as I was really not aware that the 2.0 was this 'Police Unit Upgrade' I know it looks bad and back stabby but please believe me when I say I had no idea and didn't at all mean to steal content, I was under the impression the LA Mod was released free to edit, and that automatically meant any units I found in the 2.0 version were just free to edits Regards, Rlast. BTW, thanks for those reference images, may be useful at a later date for sure! I'm using that site already and would strongly recommend it to anyone else! Thanks for the good words about the textures too, and I'll be sure to fix this mess about by getting some other models
  19. [WIP] Richland County, South Carolina The Richland County, South Carolina modification is a submod for the Los Angeles Modification Version 2. At the moment, due to my amateurish skills with the Emergency 4 editor, it is simply acting as replacement for the vehicles within the LA Mod; their textures have been replaced, so it's not necessarily adding units. However, I'd hope that I can add the units separately so all can still enjoy the Los Angeles units with this pack. The project is currently Police focused, with no Fire Department or EMS vehicles in development. This is due to the fact I can not gain adequate images or references for these other departments at this time. It would be great if anyone who lives in South Carolina could get some images, or some other people could direct to a place where I could find them! The Police authorities currently included in the pack are as follows: Eastover Police Department Forest Acres Police Department Richland County Sheriff Department Columbia Police Department Columbia College Police Department University of South Carolina Department of Public Safety TEAM: Rlast Any help would be appreciated, especially people who are good with adding models and constructing them within the game (not modelling, but building them !) Anyone who is any good at lighting! Please leave any comments if you have any improvements or words on the work. Regards, Rlast.
  20. Hey EmergencyFan94, I currently use a Nvidia plugin for Photoshop CS5, but it seems to corrupt my files. What I do is I have installed a DDS plugin on Paint.NET (OR the programme can just open up DDS files already), and I use it to convert all my files to DDS. I would recommend installing a PSD plugin to Paint.NET as well. This means that you can open a DDS up in Paint.NET, save it as a PSD or other file, edit in Photoshop and then import back in to Paint.NET and save as a DDS again. For example, I can take my DDS for my LAPD Crown Vic. I open it in Paint.NET. I save it as a PSD and edit it in Photoshop. I save it again from Photoshop as a PSD. I open the PSD up in Paint.NET and save as a DDS file, putting it back with the model files. http://psdplugin.cod...ases/view/86540 <------- PSD PLUGIN Hope it helps, although it's a bit long and confusing! Regards, Rlast.
  21. Hey All, I'm currently in the process of editing the Los Angeles mod vehicle textures on the CHP Charger, LAPD Slicktop, Patrol and K9 unit, and when I load up in the editor and place the cars you just see the wheels. I'm not too good with models and adding models, hence editing pre-made UV maps so that I don't need to construct the vehicles myself. I was just wondering if anyone could explain why the cars only have wheels? Do they need to be rebuilt in the editor or is it just an encryption on the vehicles? I was under the impression the textures have permission to be edited, if not then I'll steer clear ! Any help greatly appreciated, Rlast!
  22. Hey, this is pretty cool; not in to the films that much but I still like the designs, especially the police! What is this a submod for? I'm guessing the LA Mod? Perhaps not though, I'd see it under the LA Mod Submods in that case! Summary: GOOD WORK!
  23. UPDATED - SALEM POLICE CROWN VICTORIA NOW FINISHED MAIN PAINTING STAGE. The plan is to add some more detail on the metal work of the car, but the skin is completed and I'd really love to hear from any people in Oregon as to the realism of the car skins . UPDATED - STATE POLICE CROWN VICTORIA HIGH DEFINITION DIRT TEXTURE COMPLETED. The Crown Victoria of the State Police has had some more texture work done on to it in the form of dust; this can be seen on the front of the car, back, sides of the windows, near the doors, and areas that are close to the ground.
  24. What is this mod? This mod plans to act as a Submod to the Los Angeles Modification for Emergency 4 and is currently a work-in-progress. The pack itself focuses on adding a few new policing units to the game; Crown Victoria State Police Crown Victoria Salem Police Crown Victoria Portland Police Ford Excursion/Tahoe State Police Ford Excursion/Tahoe Salem Police Ford Excursion/Tahoe Portland Police In future it can be hoped that EMS and Fire Departments will be added along with the Police, but at present I do not have the skills nor team to commit to such a task. There are currently plans to add Uniformed Officers along with each police car, corresponding to the Force they represent. This, however, will take time and learning so may not be a feature in the initial release. I am new to modding in Emergency 4 but hoping to make a mark with the community . Any help from the community would be greatly appreciated, and at present I look for the following in terms of communal aid: Modeler (For purposes of creating in future EMS, Fire and New Policing Units) Light and Sound Artist (To deal with creating realistic light settings and editing sound files to bring about as-real-as-possible gameplay) All help is appreciated, and I have so far seen this community to be very supportive so Thank You. With a team of say 2-3, including myself, the project could really take off in my eyes and could easily lead to future endeavours. Of course, any questions or points of interest in this mod will simply be answered either through a direct PM to myself, or in the comments section below. Below are some images of the UV maps of the Crown Victorias currently in production. Everything in this thread at the moment is a pre-alpha document or plan. Team: Rlast - Mod Lead, Texture Artist. Zach1019 - Texture Artist, Light Artist, Freeplay Event Coordinator.
