  2. that'd be cool to have a dispatching station, where you could select the event type and then click where you want the units sent, and then the right units for the event would automatically respond, like in the winterberg mod. I'm sure that would take a huge amount of time and scripting.

    thatd be boring. i like pickin what trucks i want. not the computer!

  3. Simple, the mission patch in 1.5 doesn't have Bomb Squad at all. You have to use the Engineer again to disarm bombs.

    Why? The 'Use' command is used to disarm bombs, fix rail tracks and to use special commands on objects in missions.

    The 'Use' command has been changed in the normal LA mod, but with the original missions I had to put the normal 'Use' script back and this caused problems with the Bomb Squad units.

    That's why it's disabled.

    i have 1.5 la mod and i have a bomb squad suv.. is it a specific patch you are talking about?

  5. 1. Besides using the scripts I can't convert missions to EM4. The president mission was a HUGE amount of work to add all those people. But the idea is nice, since I already have the scripts. :):)

    2. lord_bonev, do you have ANY sense of how much work that might be? Woltep already said you can copy the ground textures and scripts from EM3. THAT'S ALL! Do you want to copy the 100's of objects from EM3 to EM4 and make new prototype files for EACH model?? Place them on the map too. Then add the triggers, paths, streets, virtual objects, spawning points, waiting points and events. Don't forget to test. Kthxbye ;)

    3. The new lightsbar are probably for 1.7. That current lightbar from MikeyPI has too many polygons in my opinion, so I need a better one.

    4. Steady burns don't have a pattern, because they don't have a flash frequency or offset.

    so there arent going to be the new lightbars?!?

  6. I appreciate the support, but quite honestly my models would just be models without Hoppah doing the much more difficult scripting work to permit them to have the cool features they have. Not to mention all the hard work he's put in prior to my assistance with a few of the models in the mod... The LA Mod was doing quite well before I showed up :1046275747_biggthumpup:

  7. With all due respect to those who want a BMW or another type of bike, I had to build that one and animate the rider (not totally pleased with the animation but it'll do).... It was a nightmare to put it mildly to build the bike, perhaps in a decade I may consider doing a BMW, but I would not hold your breath on it..

    The bike's animations were added not so much to resolve issues, more because we could add them :1046275747_biggthumpup:

    The prototype is the same so the lights can stay on now on it, there shouldnt be any more issues with bugs with the bike I hope.

    We have done alot this go round so I hope ya'll are happy and will understand that in all honesty there is plenty in 1.6 and whatever else is added probrably is not gonna be easy to pick these days since there is already alot in the mod...

    great. the beamer is un-nessecary but just an idea. :P . thank you for all your models and this mod would not be la mod with out you.

  8. One motorcycle is enough for me. They're hard to model and even harder to animate.

    Because the new animations doesn't require the prototype/model change like it was, the lights stay on when the rider steps off.

    So those glitches might be fixed too now, because the motorcycle commands work different.

    The light pattern of the LAPD Dodge Charger looks similar like the CHP Dodge Chargers pattern. I got some good feedback about that pattern so I used that on the Arjent too.

    And no, there won't be new sirens yet.

    great. something i didnt like about the led lightbar was that, no offence but the pattern sometimes has a long time before lights r visible so there isnt always visualization of the lightbar. if possible could you make the lights flash faster so there is no time that a light is turned off. :) thnx

  9. hey hoppah is there any way that the biker can get off the bike and have the lights still on i know you had a problem with that earlier but just wondering

    good question. and also dot the new lights have led looking flash patterns or r they more like the led lightbar on the chp charger?? thnx

  10. A bigger update this time.

    Four new models, four replacements.

    - The '07 Dodge Charger LAPD replaces the CHP Camero, because the Camero's model is inaccurate. The vehicle has an Arjent lightbar, because the website code2high.com shows one exactly like this.

    - The '06 Chevrolet Tahoe Bomb Squad vehicle replaces the inaccurate older model. Thanks to MikeyPI for the model. :)

    - The '06 Chevrolet Suburban Battalion Chief vehicle replaces the inaccurate older model. Again, credits go to MikeyPI for the model.

    - The Harley Davidson bike replaces the old one. Thanks to MikeyPI for the model and animations.

    More info:

    The motorcycle is animated meaning the bikerider really steps on and off his bike now.

    OMG!!! i love the electraglide. its so freakin amazing. now i will enjoy using the motorcycle cuz of the on and off animations. and the charger....omg so sick. kinda like the one i drew up and got critesized for. :( and the bomb and battalion are sick as always. and are you changing any of the sirens in 1.6??

    would people just stop adding nonsense into this. Let Hoppah decide. His mod is amazing as it is, and I don't other people to ruin it for everyone else. Who cares if there are not enough lights, or things don't look "exact". He is practically doing this all from scratch so give him and all the other contributors a break. thanks for the great mod hoppah!

    Lol. will there be take down/pursuit lights on the lightbars? if you dont know what that is , it is 2 white lights that alternate(wig wag) back and forth so it grabs more attention. they are usually in the middle of the lightbar. heres a url of an example from youtube.

    i cant believe how good the fbi command looks! it is so amazing. how many men can it carrry and how many prisoners? i love the lightbar on it. it looks so good with those colours and fonts. great job. thnx

    The FBI has two unique perks to them, thus why they even exist in this mod, well did.

    1). Purchase more personnel from the big MCV.

    2). FBI Sniper-1 shot, 1 kill.

    the FBI sniper kills 1 shot? call the coroner. lol

  13. New Vehicles? Hardly any other types left than support vehicles?

    Big American Departments tends to buy only a few types vehicles. They buy one type of car so its easy to repair too. Any new cars are going to be the same type as the other new cars.

    Same model maybe same year. Year Model styles don't chance till 3 to 5 years.

    New Vehicles will be replacement of older Vehicles. To save money they maybe use the same lights and and gear off a older car. A new car with old gear... At the end they kind of look the same.

    Now Smaller Departments don't have much money all the time and thier car looks different. So a mix of old and new cars. When they do have money? They tend to buy few vehicles with all new stuff. Smaller department do not tend to repair cars as much.

    So its like this below.

    Big Department: 1999 Ford - 2001 Ford - 2003 Ford - 2003 Dodge - 2005 Ford - 2006 Dodge- so on.... This is buying alot.

    Small Department: 1996 Chevrolet - 1999 Ford - 2003 Ford -2006 Mitsubishi - 2008 Chevrolet - This is just buying a few.
